Chapter 15: Finally, Synchronicity.

Lance walked directly to the kitchen on arriving home. He placed all of the groceries onto the bench and was about to start unpacking them when his phone beeped. Turning, he leaned against the bench and pulled his phone from his pocket. He saw there had been one missed call from Kat and at first he wondered how he had come to miss the call.

All day, Lance had been obsessing about Dayton and how and when he was going to come out to him. Following his shift at work and also following going to buy groceries for dinner that night, he had been listening to ‘Say You Love Me’ by Steve Grand. The song was about a gay man in love with his best friend who was a straight man. Every time the song ended, Lance played it again immediately. He was also listening to it at an excessive volume for the entire drive home from the store and so he assumed it had obviously drowned out the sound of his phone in his pocket. Now, his phone was letting him know he had a voice message and he wondered how many times his phone had been beeping, trying to get his attention. He pressed a button, put the phone to his ear and listen to the recording of Kat’s voice.

“Hi Lance, it’s Kat. I tried calling but you didn’t answer your phone. Listen Lance, I know you said you were cooking dinner for us this evening but something happened and I don’t think I’ll be home tonight, so don’t expect me. I’m sorry and I hope you’re not angry and that it’s not an inconvenience but…” she trailed off and sighed.

“Look, I’m not going to go into it on a voice mail so I’ll explain it to you later. I’m spending the night at Deb’s place; she’s my friend who works with me at The Printed Word. Anyway, I’ll see you tomorrow night. Again I’m sorry. Talk to you later.”

Lance momentarily thought Kat sounded odd but then he put his phone on the breakfast bar and began unpacking the groceries. Initially he was unhappy that Kat had cancelled, however, as his mind turned to Dayton, suddenly the idea of spending the evening with him alone seemed almost a gift. He wondered if he should make dinner for Dayton without Kat or if he should put it off until the following day. He decided to wait and speak to Dayton when he arrived home.

A thought pushed its way back into his mind and he felt certain there had been an odd sound to Kat’s voice. He picked up his phone and listened to the message again. His eyes became curious and he was sure he was right. He was certain of it. The message ended and he dialed her number immediately.

“Hi Lance, you didn’t need to call me back,” she said, sounding perfectly normal.

“Of course I did. What’s going on? Your voice in that message sounded strange and now you answer this call like everything is fine. I can hear it, Kat, so tell me the truth. What’s going on?”

Kat sighed and said, “You’re right, Lance. As I said in the message, something has happened but it’s not as bad as you might think. It’s going to sound worse than it is but there’s so much more to it so don’t freak out. Lance, Alisha and I broke up today.”

“Oh my god, are you okay?”

“I’m fine, Lance. Look, I’m at the store with Deb and as I said, after we close I’m going to her place and staying the night. I’m not sad or broken and I’m certainly not feeling the way I was initially. In fact, strangely I’m starting to feel really good. I promise I’ll explain everything to you tomorrow night,” she said.

“I believe you but you don’t dismiss friends that easily, especially when I’m the friend. Tell me, at least briefly, what happened?”

“Are you this dominant in bed with your men,” she said and laughed before continuing. “Lance, I wasn’t in love with Alisha and she wasn’t in love with me either, neither of which I was certain of until today. This is the best thing that could have happened and so when I discovered her with a man today, it hurt initially but now I’ve reached the point I should have reached weeks ago. Lance, you were right on Saturday when you suggested we were not a good fit.”

Shocked, Lance said, “A man?”

“Yeah,” she replied with a sigh.

“You want me to put a hit on her?”

Kat burst out laughing before she said, “Thank you, my friend but I’m sure that won’t be necessary.”

“I want to know the full story tomorrow night,” Lance said.

“Okay, but honestly, Lance, I’m fine. Deb just wants to pamper me and feed me and make sure I get a good nights sleep, to prove to her that I’m really okay.”

“All right but if you need me or need anything, I’m just a phone call away,” Lance said.

“Thanks Lance but really I’m fine and by tomorrow I’ll be ready to go out and change the world. Well, maybe my world, at least. Trust me, Lance, a weight is off my back.”

Lance did not just hear the words, he also heard the tone of voice and he knew Kat was serious. It did not make a lot of sense for someone to be reacting this way and talking this way after a breakup, however, her behavior seemed to confirm that she was not all that broken up. He shrugged.

“Okay, well have a good night, look after yourself and I’ll see you tomorrow, Kat.”

“I will and thank you for the call and the concern,” Kat replied.

“Bye,” he said and ended the call.

Looking a little amazed and a bit confused, he looked to see if he had anything left to put away but realizing it was all done, he paused to consider what he should do next. In that moment while Kat was on his mind, he recalled that Dimity was coming for dinner the following night and he wondered if she and Kat would hit it off like he suspected they would.

Lance knew he was playing cupid but something inside him told him his arrow would hit the bull’s-eye. He loved Dimity and now he loved Kat and in truth, he thought Alisha was a little cow. Now it seemed life were taking part in his little conspiracy by getting Alisha out of the way. He had already decided to keep Dimity’s invitation a secret and just let her show up and fall into the mix. After all, he had told Kat he thought they would be good together and he did not want Kat preparing or putting on a façade. Throwing them together would make their reactions natural. It was also the reason he had not mentioned Kat to Dimity. He truly believed a simple push would do the trick.

Just as he was about to leave the kitchen, he heard a thunderous sound and he turned and looked out the window. The storm he had seen approaching from the southeast on his way home had arrived. Hail was falling hard and he watched as the small yard turned from green to white. Twelve minutes later when the spectacle was over and all that remained was a light rain, he headed for the bathroom for a quick shower.

Afterwards, Lance walked around the house still wrapped in his bath towel. The humidity was so high that a light sheen of sweat glistened on his bronzed skin, only minutes following leaving the bathroom. He walked into the kitchen and poured a tall glass of very cold fruit juice and then walked out onto the deck overlooking the beach. He stood leaning on the balustrade now that the storm had passed by.

The sky was still filled with dark clouds and the ocean was a nasty color; a color capable of making his writer’s imagination consider science fiction sea creatures that could be lurking in the depths. The hail had melted and in various places around the yard, he could see steam rising from the previously heated soil beneath the grass. He looked up and down the beach but there was not a soul anywhere to be seen.

Lance took a large swig of his cold juice and almost naturally his mind returned to Dayton. He thought that the time was almost here. He knew Dayton would soon be home and he wondered how he would go about finally beginning the conversation. Once again he scolded himself for not telling Dayton he was gay. Even though it had only been a couple weeks, still it had been such a long time coming.

Lance started feeling nervous and so he began running variations of the words he would say to Dayton when he was finally in front of him. His attention was so focused on his deep thoughts that when Dayton stopped in the doorway behind him and greeted him, his voice brought Lance back to reality with a jolt.

“Shit, I did it again. I didn’t mean to scare you. I guess we’re going to have to work out a way that I don’t do that anymore. Maybe I need to wear a bell around my neck to let you know I’m approaching,” Dayton said.

“No, Dayz, it’s fine and I’m fine. I was just caught up in some really focused thought and the rest of the world disappeared for a few moments. I’m glad you’re home and it’s really good to see you. I need to talk to you,” Lance replied.

“Yeah, it’s good to see you too. I need to talk to you as well but I really need to shower first so if you don’t mind, any chance you could wait a few more minutes?”

“Of course, Dayz, anything you want, I’ll wait for as long as you need.”

Dayton smiled an enormous smile. Lance’s response was suddenly a high definition sound and picture in reality, of what he had read on the computer. Lance’s words were suddenly the words of something more than friendship. For the first time Dayton heard the depth of the love in Lance’s voice. It was that tone of his voice that Dayton recognized had been there for almost the entire time he had known him. Hearing and now understanding the real nature of that tone, Dayton knew beyond doubt that Lance loved him.

Looking into Lance’s blue eyes, Dayton saw the intensity. He glanced down at Lances body. Seeing the deeply tanned skin wrapped in and set off by a white towel and seeing the near naked man he wanted to hold, he had to stop himself from walking over and taking him into his arms. He was covered in dust from the construction site and he wanted to get cleaned up for Lance. He thought as he took in the sight of the man, whom he was now even more certain he loved, somehow everything would work out just the way he hoped it would.

“Okay, well, I’ll see you shortly,” he said.

“Fantastic,” Lance replied.

Dayton’s next smile was even bigger following Lance’s response. Fantastic seemed an inappropriate adjective, even though he loved it. It made Dayton not want to walk away at all, even for a few minutes but still he turned and moved hurriedly to the bathroom.

Lance walked to the door and watched Dayton disappear into the hallway. Lance did not even think, he just walked to the kitchen, put the empty glass into the sink and began to make them both a coffee. The thought that it might be too hot and humid for coffee did not occur to him; the unconscious habit simply directed him, ordering his feet to move and the actions to take place, in the way they did for Dayton on every workday afternoon. When Lance walked out of the kitchen with the two mugs in hand, he placed Dayton’s on the coffee table and then returned to where he had been standing on the deck.

For almost every minute of the day, Lance had been thinking about this time; the moments when he would tell Dayton he was gay. Now, after looking at Dayton standing in the doorway, Lance knew he wanted to tell him that he loved him as well. His rationale told him he could not do that and that he had to take it one step at a time. He still believed that Dayton would not feel that way toward him, let alone be able to act the way he wished he could. He had already concluded that just because Dayton had been with Jamey, it did not necessarily follow that Dayton would want to be with him. Still, Lance wished he would.

“Tell him you’re gay and leave it at that. Maybe in time he might feel that way for you but for now, it’s what you referred to in the journal as a fool’s paradise,” he thought.

Dayton was excited as he stepped from the shower recess. He reached for his towel, which was aqua. He did not wipe his body; he just wrapped the towel around his hips. He swiftly cleaned his teeth to freshen his breath and then he quickly ran a comb through his hair. He looked at his appearance in the mirror, hoping that Lance would like what he saw.

By the time he was ready he was almost completely dry from the natural heat, which still filled the house even after the storm. Dayton’s next thought was to go to his bedroom and throw on his sweat shorts, however, he then thought he wanted to stand in front of Lance, as Lance would stand in front of him. He left the bathroom and walked directly toward the back deck.

Lance was resting his forearms on the balustrade, as he stared at the shades of post storm grayness, which insinuated itself upon the sky and water and sand. The hail had passed, the rain had concluded but the dark clouds appeared as if they were not leaving any time soon. Everything seemed veiled in shadow and it also seemed so very quiet. The only noise that seemed noticeable and standard was the crashing of the waves.

Somehow the conditions pervaded a sense of loneliness. In that single instant of quiet solitude and even though Dayton was only a couple of rooms away, Lance felt alone. He wished that Dayton was with him, beside him and that he could feel his body touching him, as he smelled his personal scent.

So easily, Lance recalled that scent. He knew he loved Dayton’s aftershave but he also knew he preferred his natural scent. It was a scent he could not describe because there was nothing else like it. He thought it was a manly scent but it was not sweet or musky or anything he could relate to, other than to Dayton. It was unique and it always made Lance want to move closer to him, as well as wish he could bury his face into his naked flesh.

Dayton once again stood silently in the doorway, looking at Lance from behind. For the first time in a way he never really had since they began living together in the house, Dayton really looked at Lance’s body. The tanned skin seemed almost like a fetish and he wanted his lips on it and to run his tongue over it. The stocky, upper body was not hard and taut but there was still a large chest that circled around to a broad back, capped by thick shoulders. Lance’s waist was not as slim and curved as his own but still it waned nicely, adding to his shape. Looking down beneath the seam of the towel, Lance’s legs were large like an athlete’s and with a little exercise would look even more amazing. Then there was the curve of that ass, which was made more prominent due to the fact that Lance was bending as he leaned on the balustrade.

Instantly Dayton recognized that for the second time that day, he was actually looking at the male form in a sexual manner. Lance did not have the body that Jake had but Dayton knew it did not matter because his heart made him want Lance, even more than he wanted Lance’s body.

Dayton felt the rise of his sexual hunger, combining with the love he was now feeling. He felt movement at his crotch and so he moved immediately and began to walk over to stand beside Lance so they could talk.

As Dayton drew alongside Lance, exactly where Lance had wanted him to be, Dayton’s arm grazed lightly against Lance’s arm and he said, “Thanks for the coffee.”

Lance turned his head and his eyes connected and fell into the depths of the eyes that could drown him. He looked at the long and thick black eyelashes and then his gaze dropped down to the smooth and muscled chest. His gaze dropped farther until it reached the aqua towel. He swallowed as he considered that with a simple movement of his hands, they both could be naked.

While smiling he replied, “A coffee for you? Any time, Dayz.”

“You’re amazing, you know that, Lance? You’re always thinking of me and doing things for me. You’re so considerate and thoughtful.”

“You’re easy to consider,” Lance said.

“Why is that?”

“Because you’re my friend, you’re important to me and I like you,” he replied, knowing it was true and yet an extreme understatement.

“Oh,” Dayton said with a subtle tone of disappointment while wishing Lance had said it was because he loved him.

Lance glanced over curiously but dismissed Dayton’s tone as misinterpreted. He then thought that the time was finally here. He was alone with Dayton and his opportunity was presenting itself.

“Dayz?”

“Yeah?”

“I need to talk to you.”

“So you said before, although, right at the moment your voice makes it sound really serious, maybe even ominous.”

“It’s not ominous but it is serious. At least in a way it is. It’s very important and something I believe you need to know. It’s something I should have told you some time ago.”

Dayton felt a little frustrated. Since the night before when he got out of bed and went to Lance’s bedroom door, he had wanted to tell him he loved him. All day he had thought of little else. Now that he was finally home and standing in front of him, he knew he had to wait again. He also knew that Lance had wanted to talk to him since the previous morning and so it seemed only fair that he wait and gave Lance the stage. He now suspected that Lance wanted to tell him he was gay but as he was not one hundred percent certain, he decided he simply had to bide his time and wait.

“Is it concerned with what you wanted to talk to me about yesterday?”

“Yeah, that’s exactly what it’s about,” Lance replied.

Asking pointedly while trying to let Lance know how much he wanted to be with him without saying it directly, Dayton said, “It’s not bad news for me, I hope. I mean it’s not bad concerning my living with you or us being together, is it?”

“Dayz, no. I want you here as much as you want to be here.”

Dayton quietly sighed because he felt like it was all going too slowly. He wanted to here the words that Lance loved him and he wanted to say them back to Lance but regardless, he simply replied, “I’m glad.”

Lance sighed also but his sigh came from a place of apprehension. He then silently gave himself the order, “Just do it.”

Turning side on to the balustrade, Lance took a drink of his coffee and then put it down on top of the beam of wood. As he stared at Dayton he said, “Dayz, on the day you moved in here, there was something I should have told you before I even gave you the keys to move in. I didn’t do it though and then suddenly time was dashing forward and before I knew what was happening, days were passing us by.”

Dayton turned to face Lance as well, edging slightly closer as he did. Believing he knew what Lance was going to say, he said, “Lance, I can sense your tentative and so let me say it doesn’t matter what you want to tell me, it’ll be okay. Just say the words.”

Lance looked at Dayton like he was amazing. He nodded before he said, “Dayz, I’m gay.”

Dayton smiled and replied, “That’s cool and I have no problem with that. I mean really, how could I have an issue with it after being in a relationship for nearly a full year with Jamey. All I really want to ask you is why you didn’t tell me on the day we met?”

“I forgot,” Lance said.

“Not an easy thing to forget, Lance. Why did you forget?”

“I was distracted,” he replied, reaching for an answer that seemed so difficult to find or put into words.

“Something or someone must have been really important to distract you from such a big piece of who you are,” Dayton said.

“You have no idea,” Lance said, not believing how this conversation was playing out.

Dayton asked, “Was it a guy?”

“Yeah.”

“Is he important to you?”

“He is,” Lance clarified.

“Would you say you’re in love with him?”

“More than I can believe,” Lance confirmed, astonished by the questions Dayton was asking.

Having read the file on the computer and knowing what Lance had written about how he felt, Lance’s final statement was all Dayton needed to hear. He was certain Lance was talking about him. In that moment, more than any other moment to this point, Dayton suddenly felt something he had never felt before. It was a sense of certainty about another human being but it was also a knowledge that no one was more important and no one had ever meant more than Lance did. Not even Jamey. With that sense and that knowledge, Dayton knew his first taste of true love.

It was an absolutely consuming moment because it was the first time in his life, Dayton had ever believed in another person without the slightest degree of doubt. Even with Jamey there had been the odd moments of uncertainty. Gazing into Lance’s eyes, he knew that Lance loved and wanted him but he also knew that Lance was uncertain of the consequences of speaking his truth. Dayton decided that because he was the only one who knew everything, he had to make these moments just as easy for Lance. He edged even closer to Lance and his gaze drilled into Lance’s eyes.

With a dulcet voice Dayton asked, “What would you think, Lance, if that man told you he was in love with you as well and that there was nothing he wanted more in this moment, here on this deck right now, with the sight and sound of the ocean in front of us, than to kiss you and touch you and tell you how much he wants you, too?”

Lance was staring at Dayton with eyes as wide as saucers and his mouth was hanging open so much that a bird could have flown in to nest. He could not believe the words Dayton had said could mean what he begged that they actually did.

Dayton did not wait for his words to be processed. He simply lifted his hand and he wrapped his opened palm and fingers around the side and back of Lance’s neck. He pulled him toward him and when they were less than an inch apart he said, “Lance, I’m crazy about you, too” and then he pulled their lips together.

Lance transformed into the air being breathed into Dayton’s mouth. With the soft occasional grazing of different parts of their skins, he was also the air that brushed like a silk veil over Dayton’s skin. From the moment Dayton’s hand held his neck and began pulling him toward him, all Lance could think was that like the previous morning, he was dreaming again; another dream in which his dream was once again coming true. He had wanted Dayton to pull their lips together. He had wanted Dayton to kiss him. He had wanted to believe that the words Dayton said were true and then, to his absolute delight, Dayton’s lips pressed softly to his.

Lance’s body quivered. A moment later Dayton’s lips had his upper lip between them, within the transforming kiss. Lance felt the soft sucking and dragging motion, his lip being stretched as Dayton pulled back before their lips broke apart. Dayton returned for Lance’s lower lip and again he sucked it gently before releasing it. As Lance’s mind began to spin, he felt Dayton’s mouth connect fully with his and then Dayton’s tongue tenderly slipping into his mouth.

Lance wanted to say “holy shit” or something along those lines because even though he knew it was real, it still felt like a dream and the kiss was melting him. His legs were turning to jelly and he knew at any moment he could drop.

Dayton felt Lance’s body shaking. He could barely believe he was having this effect on Lance but he took the final step that ended the space between them and he wrapped his other arm around him. He pulled Lance close and held him tightly and then he unleashed a kiss he knew he had not even given to Jamey. This was love and he knew it without doubt.

Lance was spinning without moving. He lifted his arms and slid them around Dayton; a fear that somehow the magic would end and the man would disappear, vanish before his eyes. In an instant Lance knew it was not possible for Dayton to vanish. Lance’s eyes were closed and he knew with Dayton’s first, breathtaking kiss, he could not open his eyes if he wanted to. His eyes had to be closed for a dream to be dreamt and there was nothing he wanted more than to let this dream be dreamt to its conclusion.

As Dayton’s large, rolling chest pressed against Lance’s chest and his muscular body rubbed and surrounded him with heat and sensuality, slowly the reality became less dream-like and more tangible. There was the feeling of Dayton’s hard nipples pressing against his skin and then there was that thickness, the protrusion of manhood, the giver and receiver of sexual hunger. There were strong hips and broad shoulders and then there were two large thighs, sandwiched around one of Lance’s thighs.

Lance had no idea which of his legs it was, his mind was ablaze with needs being granted and he could no longer discern his left from his right. Lost yet found was the way he felt, sailing an uncharted ocean with a newly discovered land in sight, waiting to be explored.

Two recognizable things brought solace from the wild excitement. The first was the comforting blanket of heat, which was generated from Dayton’s body. The second was the scent, a clean and pervasive yet subtle aroma, which was strictly the dominion of this man. How he loved the smell of Dayton.

Dayton’s grip tightened around Lance. One arm was circling around his waist and back, the embrace crushing their stomachs and erections together. The other arm crossed diagonally up his back, his strong, male hand and fingers curling around and into his armpit, pulling the rest of Lance even tighter. Dayton’s kiss was becoming even more passionate and assertive, his tongue forcing Lance’s tongue to submit and then suddenly, Dayton was turning Lance.

Dayton’s back was against the balustrade, as Lance clung to him and let him move him as he pleased. Their bodies writhed, their skin heated and though it was all perfectly normal for their hearts and minds and bodies to be swirling in a tornado of desire; when Lance unhitched Dayton’s towel and it fell away, Lance felt his consciousness and senses go to another place.

Lance slid his hand between their bodies and the moment he held the secret flesh, it was like he was feeling Dayton for the very first time. In a way, suddenly the man who had always been somewhat of a stranger, now was complete and no longer a stranger at all. Lance’s fingers encircled a quality length and a wonderful thickness. It was so hard and yet fleshy and the heat made his hand sweat. He squeezed and then in a single action, he stroked upward, pulling the erection vertical before squeezing even harder.

Dayton’s kiss faltered from Lance’s touch and even his hold of Lance weakened. Lance pulled back from their kiss and as their eyes met amidst their powerful desires, Lance released his grip and drew his hand up between their bodies. He then slid the tip of his tongue along his palm, as he licked Dayton’s pre-come juices into his mouth.

Dayton watched Lance’s tongue tasting him. The simple act made his cock harder, in spite of its sudden yet temporary freedom from Lance’s grip. Dayton’s hunger, his lust and an exceptional need that ethereally filled his body and made him feel like he would break apart, was more than he could comprehend. He knew he wanted more and needed more but as right as it all was, he was certain something was not right.

“You taste so good, Dayz. Kiss me and taste yourself in my mouth.”

Dayton had never consciously thought of doing such a thing by choice. He knew he had experienced his own taste in Jamey’s mouth but it had always been subsequent of kissing during sex and so, almost accidental. However, Lance telling him to do it, instantly caused an excited reaction that made his muscles contract. It made his cock lunge and bounce from sexual desire. He grabbed Lance and pulled him against him and kissed him deeply. His tongue probed and dived, swirling over Lance’s tongue, tasting his own essence, which made him even more turned on.

Dayton recalled the taste in Jamey’s mouth but even though this was the same, he did not understand why it tasted better and why it made him want Lance even more. It was, after all, still his own taste he tasted on Lance’s tongue. He wrapped his arms around Lance and he pulled him so tight that Lance felt like he was being crushed. Lance did not care though and he squeezed back and pushed his crotch hard against Dayton’s crotch.

Suddenly, with feelings coursing through him that he had never experienced, Dayton felt like he was desperate. It was a need so exceptional, it made him think he was an atom’s distance from being able to touch something that would change his world forever. However, the size of an atom was too large and therefore, whatever this need was, it was too far away to touch. This fleeting concept confirmed once again that though this time was sublime, something was not right. One and only one conclusion came to him and in that moment, he thought there was no other action to take. He ripped the towel from Lance’s waist as well.

The moment both men were completely naked and Dayton pulled Lance tightly to him, he believed that finally everything was right. Both of them were now totally vulnerable and every inch of both of their naked bodies were now a full display of sexual desire. In that moment of believing there could be nothing more right, Dayton sensed a feeling, telling him there was something more that would make this right. Initially he did not know what that something was, however, it came to him like a whisper in his mind.

“Lock your arms around my neck,” Dayton said and Lance did it without question.

Lowering his arms, Dayton cupped his hands around Lance’s thighs. He gripped them firmly and then he lifted Lance’s legs off the ground and wrapped them around his hips. Holding Lance’s body in position with one hand, he lifted the other arm and encircled it around his back, squeezing Lance against his body. As he kissed him, he then began to walk and carry Lance to his bedroom. Kneeling on his bed, he lowered Lance onto the blue sheets.

Naked, hard and with an expression almost of disbelief, as he realized his life in these moments were changing everything, Dayton looked down. His eyes consumed the three dimensional portrait, his consciousness struggling with the veneration in the glistening eyes looking back at him. In that split second, Dayton knew definitively he was gay and this was right. He also knew that Lance had been right and that his heart did still work. He knew this because now it was beating for Lance. Dayton was feeling intense passion and desire and he wanted only one recipient of those things. No woman and no other man could give him what he needed. It was Lance and no one else.

Leaning forward and down until one hand was on his bed next to Lance, Dayton edged forward. Once he was directly over Lance and looking down into his eyes, he felt a need that was an imperative. Dayton had done this before with Jamey but as he stared at Lance, a silent thought told him this had to be different, it had to be special; for Lance.

Ever since Dayton had kissed him on the deck, Lance had said almost nothing. What had happened was all he had wanted but it had left Lance in a type of mute disbelief. Now, naked on Dayton’s bed and with Dayton naked and about to lower his body on top of him, Lance’s mind unlocked and his words were set free.

“Dayz, you’re so handsome, so hot and so completely beautiful to me. I can hardly believe this is happening but there’s nothing I want more than you. I’d give up this house for you and I’d change anything if you needed me to. Dayz, I love you, I need you and I want you,” Lance said.

Dayton was initially stunned but he replied, “Lance, I want you so badly but regardless of my needs, this is for you. It’s because of you that I now know who I am, what I want and what I need. I was uncertain with Jamey but I now know what he revealed to me was just a glimpse of what I was searching for. Finding you was the answer because finding you meant really finding me. You, Lance, you’re all of the things I need. Everything else and everyone else were just the steps that led me to you. I’m in love with you and tonight, Lance, I want you to become part of me and I want to touch the core of you.”

The seconds that past as Dayton slowly lowered his body down onto Lance, seemed to Lance like an eternity. He wanted Dayton so desperately but the time it took for the skin of their naked bodies to touch, filled him with a need so great, it was unrecognizable. When the moment of connection finally occurred, he slid his arms around the large body and he held it with the thought that he would never let it go.

“Tell me what you need, Dayz. I want to give you everything you want.”

“With you, Lance, I want everything,” he replied.

As their arms curled around each other and their hearts reverberated into each other’s chests, once again their lips brushed and led them into a time of heat, passion and love, which grew swiftly from their all-consuming kiss.

Consciousness can sometimes be a magical thing. Though both men were awake and fully aware, from the moment the two naked bodies touched on the bed, reality became almost a divine animation. Skin became silk, kisses became the cause of hearts to beat and erections grinding became the purpose of blood to heat and course throughout the human body. The tactile connection of the tips of fingers, gently stroking over any part of the male form, caused the igniting of a wildfire within the pits of stomachs. The instep of a foot, sliding over the curve of the muscled calf of a lower leg, somehow became intellectually tantalizing. A man’s whiskers scraping over another man’s cheek, evoked a moan of ecstasy, as the rough pleasure found tenderness in its touch.

Bodies glided amidst weight and muscle, hands held and fingers tightened while seemingly with a consciousness of their own, feared to release their grip, should they not hold and touch again. Tongues barely touched and yet sent ideas of electricity into unexplored regions of the mind. Lips so soft, warm and wet, buzzed and twitched while silently screaming to be kissed forever. Sweat lubricated simple and intricate transitions, as positioning fed hungers of touch, not thought of until these moments began.

Whispers soon began, near silent screams camouflaged as moans, pleading for the torture of delicious and desperate need to never end. Hearts began to pound as a consequence, as a young love found wisdom in freedom. Love became never more certain that nothing could ever exceed this particular release of expression.

Nerve endings cried out as pain and pleasure morphed into a symbiotic relationship. Stretching open and accepting entrance seemed impossible while lonely emptiness begged for shared accommodation. A thief in the night seeking to break and enter; instead, embraced the one who ushered him through the door.

Cycling hips drove deep and recoiled; onward, a relentless and ragged yet warm and smooth progression, as hungry mouths pressed and tongues continued to explore. Helping hands prompted and maintained the cycling motion while thoughts of deeper penetration, imagined how two could become one, even more.

“I can’t believe I’m with you and this is happening,” Lance said in awe.

“I only wish it could’ve happened sooner,” Dayton replied.

“I’m so in love with you, Dayz.”

“I promise you, Lance, it’s completely mutual.”

Dayton’s hips were still rolling, as both men gazed longingly into each other’s eyes. The wave-like actions, which seemed to mimic the waves outside the house rolling onto the shore, filled both men with desires they could somehow be closer while wishing they would never be separated again.

“Uh,” Lance gasped and then said, “Deeper, Dayton, deeper.”

With his hands pressed against the mattress on either side of Lance’s body, Dayton arched his back and then drove forward until he could go no farther. Instantly, he lowered his body down, gripped Lance by the shoulders and as he began to kiss him again, he rubbed his chest against Lance’s chest and began rolling his hips once more.

Lance groaned into Dayton’s mouth and he wrapped his arms around the large trunk of Dayton’s body and crushed him hard and tight. Dayton immediately picked up the pace and as he filled Lance with his manhood repetitively, he suddenly knew what it meant to truly love someone, to truly be with someone and to truly be consumed by his need for that person, for no other reason than who that person was.

Dayton knew he had loved Jamey but now he knew he had not been in love with Jamey. Jamey had been the kind soul who had saved him, who had loved him and who had guided him toward a path where Dayton would find who he was. Jamey held a huge place in his heart and he would continue to exist as one of the most important memories of his life, however, Jamey had never evoked from his soul, what Lance had brought to the surface and made real.

“I love you, Lance. I love you so fucking much I can barely comprehend what I’m feeling. You make me feel like my body is going to explode from the way I feel about you right now and I’m not talking about blowing my load. I’m not even at that point yet but still my heart feels like it’s going to burst. I don’t think I could exist without you right now.”

Lance looked at Dayton and could not believe what he had heard. He was feeling much the same for the first time in his life and he had only just finished thinking he wanted to climb inside of Dayton and live inside his body. A moment later he thought he wanted to pull Dayton inside of his own body and to protect him from all the horrors of the world. He slid his left hand up along Dayton’s back until he brought it to rest on the back of Dayton’s head. He slid his fingers within the soft, black hair and as he tightened his grip he replied, “Dayz, I want to be with you, I want to live with you and die with you and share every breath you take. Dayz, kiss me hard, fuck me deeply and know that I’m yours.”

Surprised by the words, Dayton’s eyes opened wider but as they did, Lance pulled his head down and an unbroken and deeply passionate kiss led them into an emotional and lustful state of frenetic sex. As Lance held onto Dayton like he was wrangling a wild horse, in the midst of the most intense fucking Dayton had ever experienced, he was actually, uncontrollably, making love to the man who seemed to have stolen not only his heart but also his soul.

When both men finally came, for both of them, it was the most intense ejaculation that either had ever experienced. Immediately following, they kissed, they cuddled, they caressed and repeated the same words over and over again.

“I love you.”
