Caleb and I hurried to put the packages in the Yukon then got back inside so I could get Caleb a computer. I debated on either a laptop or a PC. I was worried that if he were to take it to school, it might get stolen. Caleb and I looked around then settled on a PC. I picked up a router and some Ethernet cable so he and I could both share my broad band. I got those boxes loaded then headed back for home.

Chapter 5

It was 12:30 when we got back home. We didn’t have time to get the computer set up but we did manage to get Caleb’s clothes put away so his room looked presentable when Robert came out. I was coming down the hall when I heard the buzzer and Jeff was announcing himself. I let him in then waited outside for him to drive up. He pulled in front of the garage then got out as the cats were watching him. “I swear Mike, I’ll never get used to them.”

I laughed. “Jeff, they’re the best security system on the market.”

Now it was Jeff’s turn to laugh. “Yeah, if you can afford to feed them.”

We walked up onto the porch then went in the side door. “Did your PI find out anything?”

Jeff was about to answer my question when Caleb came into the room. “Yes he did. The apartment where Caleb and his family lived is empty. The manager opened it for my man and he looked around. Everything except Caleb’s stuff is gone.”

“What?” Caleb shouted. “They didn’t pack my stuff?”

Jeff shook his head. “Apparently not son.”

I was mad as hell now. “So this seems to confirm the fact that they had no intention of taking Caleb anywhere with them.”

Jeff nodded his head. “It would seem that way Mike and we could build a case against them based on that. As for the other address, that place has a new couple living there.”

“Glen wasn’t living there?” Caleb asked.

Jeff shook his head. “No son and I had my man check with the local police to see if there had been any crime reports from that address and there haven’t been. It doesn’t appear that Glen has been injured but he has moved.”

“At least my step father didn’t hurt him,” Caleb said sounding sad but relieved. “I just wanna know why all this happened.”

I couldn’t begin to answer that question. “I don’t know son. I wish I had an answer for you. Did either of your parents ever say they disliked gays?”

Caleb shook his head. “Not really but I can’t recall the topic ever coming up. I do know my stepfather had a thing against blacks. Man, he really hated blacks.”

I could see the wheels turning in Jeff’s head. “I think that says a lot right there. I think if the topic had come up, you would have heard the same hatred son.”

Just then the buzzer went off. “May I help you?”

I waited then a voice came on. “Yes, this is Robert Hampton from the Division of Social Services.”

I pressed the button opening the gate. “Come on in, we’ve been expecting you.”

I went into the living room and saw Caleb getting a worried look on his face. “Relax son. There is enough here to show you’ve been neglected by your parents.”

I heard him drive up so we all went out to meet him. We stood on the porch as he pulled up then Sultan came out of the enclosure. Caleb ran over to him as I met Mr. Hampton. “How do you do, I’m Mike Hollander.”

Caleb patted Sultan then came over to us but the cat didn’t like being left alone and let his displeasure be known. “Jeez, what was that,” Robert asked jumping.

“That was our live in security system,” I replied smiling as I walked over to the cage.

Caleb was already back there rubbing the big cat as Mr. Hampton stared. “Um, I don’t think I can allow this. The boy would be in great danger.”

Caleb heard that then undid the latch then went into the cage. All three cats were out there and none made a move to hurt Caleb. “What were you saying sir?”

Just then Jeff came outside. I got Caleb out of the pen and we all went inside to talk. Jeffery filled Robert in on Caleb’s situation. “I must admit gentlemen, I was reluctant at first but hearing where Mr. Hollander found the boy and seeing how the tigers take to him, I don’t see his staying here as a problem at least for the short term.”

My eyes got big on that last part. “For the short term?”

Robert nodded his head. “He’s still young sir. I think he could be adopted.”

I thought Caleb was going to go ballistic. “Adopted? If I get adopted, there is only one person I want adopting me and that’s Mike.”

Jeff looked over to Robert. “You’re forgetting something Robert. Caleb is 15 and his wishes will be taken into consideration by the courts.”

Robert looked shocked. “I didn’t realize he was that old. Please don’t take offense Caleb but you don’t look 15.”

I stepped in then. “I’m aware of that sir and his health is a primary concern. Now, do you think getting me licensed to be a foster parent will be a problem?”

Robert pulled some papers out of his briefcase then opened his laptop and went to work. He asked me a ton of questions about my job, income and social life. Ever since I’d moved here and got the cats, they were my social life. 30 minutes and a million questions later, Robert had the forms completed. He went out to his car and brought in a printer, hooked it to the laptop then printed out the forms. I signed them then Robert went back to work on the computer. He printed out some more papers. “These are for you. There is a card from DSS and that is if Caleb needs medical care. I would like him seen by a doctor so they can see if there is anything medically wrong. I’ll have my director sign off on these then you’ll be official. I would need to look around the house but I’m familiar with it. James had a lovely place and you’ve added to it.”

Caleb was sitting there quietly while all this was happening. “Umm, so tell me, is Mike my Dad now?”

Jeff nodded his head. “Yeah, he’s your foster dad now.”

Robert stepped in. “Mike, this is only temporary. I’m going to seek permanent placement in 30 days if everything is going well here.”

Jeff put his hand on Robert's shoulder. “I have evidence that Caleb’s abandoning was planned on the part of his parents. I’m awaiting the reports from my Private Investigator then I’ll be turning them over to the Sheriff. I’ll be damned if they’re going to waltz in later and try and take this boy.”

Robert’s eyes got big. “If that’s true Jeff, we’ll move for their parental rights to be terminated then Mike could be made his permanent foster parent or he could petition the court to adopt him.”

I was surprised at that. “Do you think the court would allow a single male to adopt?”

Robert set his briefcase down. “Normally it’s not considered but with Caleb being 15 now, his wishes are listened to so if that’s what he wanted, we would support it.”

Caleb got a big smile on his face as he jumped into my arms. “I think I could live with you as my new Dad.”

Robert patted Caleb on the back. “Can I see your room before I go?”

I let Caleb down and he took Robert by the hand leading him down the hall. “This is my room. Here are the new clothes Mike got me.”

Robert nodded his head as Caleb showed him his room. “What’s that in the box?”

Caleb giggled. “That’s my new computer. We didn’t have time to get that set up but we will.”

Robert sat down on the bed and looked at the boy. “So, what do you think of Mike?”

Caleb was taken back by the question. “What do you mean?”

Robert was on the spot. “Well, how did he take it when he found you?”

“Concerned,” Caleb started. “He was worried about me. The first thing he did was get me something to eat, and then we sat and talked. I told him about what had happened. He just sat and listened to me. Later, we had dinner and relaxed.”

“What does he think about what your parents did?”

“That made him mad,” Caleb replied. “He couldn’t believe what my parents did. That’s why he called Jeff.”

Robert stood and they came out to the living room. “If what Jeff says is true Caleb, I don’t like what they did either. I hope the police can find them and they’re punished.”

Jeff looked at Robert. “I have Caleb’s old address so you can find what school he went to. Mike will need his school records so he can get Caleb in school.”

Caleb’s face sunk when he heard that. “Awww.”

I picked him up. “Don’t you like the cats?”

He lit up then. “Yeah, I wanna learn all I can about them.”

“That’s what school is for then kiddo.”

He thought for a moment. “Yeah, I guess you’re right. Maybe I could become a vet like you and we could work here together.”

Jeff and Robert laughed at Caleb’s change of heart about school. I saw Robert pick his briefcase up and headed for the door. “I have to get these papers signed by my boss then over to the court. Jeff, please get me a copy of your PI’s report. I’m also going to want to meet with the Sheriff with you.”

Caleb and I watched as the two men left and drove off. As soon as they were gone, Caleb jumped into my arms and kissed me passionately. “It’s really happening.”

I felt his manhood grow as he was kissing me. “Yes love, it’s really happening. I’m your foster dad now and no one is going to take you away without one hell of a fight.”

I just stood there and held him enjoying the bond that was getting stronger now. Caleb sat up then kissed me on the nose. “Can we get my computer set up now?”

I carried him down to his room and dropped him off on the bed. After some playing we managed to get the thing put together. I went across the hall to where my computer was and connected the router to the modem. After some fine tuning on the router, I got Caleb’s wireless card up and working. I was heading to the kitchen when my lover called. “Hey Mike, are there any good gay sites?”

I stopped dead in my tracks and went back to him. “Have I created a porn monster now?”

He was sitting there in his all together trying to do a search. “No, but I’d love to see some.”

I closed my eyes for a moment then looked down at him. I held my arms out and he stood up so I could pick him up. “Oh and what is it you want to see?”

He gave me that tin grin of his. “Oh just some hot looking guys like you.”

I lightly pinched his bare butt causing him to squeal. “I’m not good enough for you any more?”

He giggled. “No, I didn’t say that.”

He put his hands around my neck and pulled me forward locking our lips together. Caleb started grinding his dick against my shirt. We broke the kiss and I could tell he was close to orgasm. I carried him over to the bed and laid him down taking his tool in between my fingers. “Mike, please stroke me.”

I sat down beside him and started stroking him as he started bucking his hips. I decided to return the favor he gave me yesterday so I leaned down and took his tool in my mouth. “Oh Mike, please suck me.”

I started giving him a good blow job. I felt his balls and they were tight against his body so I knew he wasn’t going to last long. I ran my finger in between his balls and hole pressing lightly. “Ungh, I can’t ungh hold out.”

I felt him shoot his boy load into my mouth. His was by far pure honey and something I wanted to savor. I took every drop then cleaned his dick off before I swallowed some of it. I leaned down then kissed him sharing his juice with him. “Did you enjoy that love?”

He kissed me again. “Oh god Mike, I loved that and I love you so much.”

I lay down beside him. “I love you too baby.”

We cuddled together for several minutes then I felt Caleb’s stomach rumble. “Umm Mike, I’m hungry.”

I sat up bringing Caleb with me. I looked and there sat Raj in the doorway. “I guess someone else is hungry too.”

Caleb saw Raj and he quickly covered his crotch. “Get out Raj, this is a private party. No cats allowed.”

I rolled with laughter at Caleb’s antics. I went over to his dresser and got him his undies and shorts so he could get dressed. We went out and got the cats fed. With everything that happened today, I just plain forgot to feed them. “Let’s give them a little extra kiddo, they didn’t get anything for lunch.”

After we fed the cats, I then had to decide on what to fix us for dinner. Again I was in the same pickle so we went out to dinner. On the way home, we did some grocery shopping. I had a growing teen to look after and after watching him eat at the buffet, I could see this boy loved to eat.

After spending a couple hundred dollars on food, my refrigerator was full. We relaxed in front of the television with Caleb’s head in my lap. I was so engrossed in a program that I didn’t see my little lover just looking up staring at me. “What’s wrong love?”

He broke out in a huge smile. “Not a thing. I’m just happy being here with you. If someone told me this would happen to me I’d have told them they were crazy but I’m glad I hopped the gate and went in with the cats.”

I rested my hand on his stomach and slipped my other under his head easing him into a sitting position. I eased him onto my lap and cuddled him close to me. “I am too and if someone told me I’d fall in love with someone 15 years old, I’d have told them they were nuts.”

His eyes got big when I said that. “Are you having second thoughts?”

I shook my head. “Not on your life baby. I’d have never thought a teen could come into my life and wrap himself around my heart the way you have.”

He gave me his electric smile and kissed me gently on the lips. It was getting late and we’d had a full day and I was starting to get tired. We went outside and checked on the cats then turned in for the night.

The next few days went by without much happening. Jeff faxed me a copy of his PI’s report and with it was a notarized statement from the apartment manager. He’d also sent along some photos he’d taken of the inside showing all the clothes except Caleb’s had been removed.

The next morning I woke before Caleb and I managed to be up before Rajah came in looking for me. I got the coffee going then went out to feed the cats then I came back and had my first cup of liquid wake up.

One morning after we’d had breakfast Robert called. “Mr. Hollander, do you think it would be possible to come out and see you and Caleb?”

This totally took me off guard. “Sure, we’ll be here. What’s the problem?”

He got quiet for a second. “I’d rather not go into this on the phone.”

Now I was confused and concerned about what this could possibly be about. “Very well Robert, we’ll be here.”

I didn’t have much time to think about it as the office was open and I had a steady stream of patients. I was just finishing up with my last one when I heard the buzzer at the front gate. “May I help you?”

“This is Robert Hampton from Social Services.”

I hit the button then waited for him to arrive. Caleb was out in the pool swimming and I was having a swimming pond put in for the cats. I didn’t like them in the pool and the chlorine wasn’t good on their skin or in their eyes.

I waited outside for him to pull up then I went to greet him. He shook my hand but I could tell something was definitely wrong. We went inside the house then I couldn’t keep my concern quiet any longer. “Alright Robert, what’s going on?”

He set his briefcase on the table rather firmly. “I’d like to know the same question Mr. Hollander.”

Now the last time he was here it was Mike and now it’s Mister. Something wasn’t right here. “I haven’t a clue as to what you’re talking about. Now come on, out with it.”

He opened his briefcase and pulled out some forms. “I found out what school Caleb was enrolled in and I sent them a request for his records. I was flabbergasted at the reply they sent me.”

“OK, keep going,” I said getting very impatient as he shoved a form at me.

My eyes almost bugged out of their sockets. “Can you see the dilemma I’m in here?”

I was looking at their letter and not believing what I was seeing. “This can’t be right.”

He shook his head. “It’s been signed by the school principle. I have no reason to doubt it.”

I slammed the paper down and walked over to the phone. “WELL I DO,” I screamed as I hit Jeff’s speed dial number. “Jeff Morris please, Mike Hollander calling and this is urgent.”

I was put on hold and was doing a slow boil. “Hi Mike, what’s?”

I didn’t even let him finish. “Jeff, we got a major problem here.”

To be continued...
