The boys did their homework then it was time to go to the last
class of the day. English was both boys favorite subject so this class flew by
for them. When the bell rang, the homeroom club met at their newest member’s
locker to head home for the day.
Chapter 2
Billy decided to break the ice with the new boy. “So Colin, tell me where do you
live?”
Without tensing or looking to Shawn for approval he quickly answered. “Ardmore
Estates, we moved in on Tuesday. It’s a nice house and I do have my own room.”
Ardmore Estates was a community of multi-family homes that vary in size. Colin’s
home was a modest one and was nicely kept. One street over was Shawn’s. His
house was larger and he knew that as soon as his new friend saw it, he would be
worried that he wouldn’t be equal. Shawn could care less about where his friend
lives. He liked Colin for what he saw inside and not the material things he
owned.
The six new friends made the turn onto Colin’s street. As they all neared his
house, fear began to over take him again. Nobody had ever seen where he had
lived before and now 5 classmates were about to for the first time. Colin inched
closer to Shawn. Shawn could feel his friend start to get tense. He reached down
and quickly squeezed Colin’s hand but for some reason, it wasn’t helping this
time.
Colin didn’t relax until he heard Maggie speak. “God Colin, this is so cool. I
wondered who bought that house. Lance and I live over there.” Maggie was
pointing to a house diagonally across from Colin’s.
Colin looked at Lance as if to confirm what she was saying was in fact the
truth. Once that was done, he looked at Shawn and said, “I need to call my Mom
to see if I can go over to your house.”
Lance smiled and said, “Cool dude. Tell her I live almost behind you on the next
street. If she wants, we can call her back when we get there just so she knows
you’re safe. I can even have my Mom talk with her if she wants.”
Colin was so happy when he heard that. He literally ran to the front door and
quickly opened it so he could make his call. He was in such a hurry; he forgot
to close the door behind him. The excited boy grabbed the handset and quickly
dialed the number. It seemed like an eternity to Colin before someone answered
the phone. “May I speak to Helen Ferguson please?” The lady put Colin on hold
and soon he was talking to his mother. “Mom hi, I’m home from school. I don’t
have any homework and I was wondering if I could go over to my new friend’s
house for a little while? He said I could even call you to let you know I’m
safe. He lives right behind us. Please Mom may I go?”
Colin was firing questions at his mother at a furious pace. She let him finish
the barrage before she tried to speak. “Slow down son. Are you saying you have a
new friend from school? All right Colin, you may go over to his house. I would
like you to call when you get there so I know you are all right and I’d like to
speak to your friend’s mother.
Colin suddenly froze and sucked air in the middle of his mother’s sentence. The
thought of her speaking to his friend’s mom scared him. The last thing he needed
was for her to be telling his new friends mom every thing about him like Leave
it to Beaver. Suddenly the thought of not being able to go over to Shawn’s seem
much worse that her talking with his mother. Gathering his inner strength, Colin
relented. “Alright Mom, I will call you and ask Shawn’s mom to talk with you
too. What time do I have to be home?”
Helen didn’t pick up on the fact that Colin wasn’t too keen on the idea of her
talking with his friend’s mother. She simply told him to be home by 6 so he
could eat dinner.
“Yippee!” Colin shouted. He could be heard outside and down the street to Lance
and Maggie’s house. Everyone outside roared with laughter when they heard him.
The happy lad came running out of the house and almost knocked his new friend
down he was so excited. “I can go.” Colin said holding his friend’s hand and
tugging it leading him towards his friend’s house.
Lance and Ray were still laughing as the four boys headed down the street. They
all chatted and carried on as they walked. Ray and Lance left the other two when
they got to Lance’s house. All four boys said their good byes and Colin and
Shawn continued on to Shawn’s house.
It took the two boys about five minutes to circle the block to get to Shawn’s
house and as soon as Colin saw it, his eyes got big. Colin was tensing up and he
even stammered as he said, “Its huge Shawn,” as both boys headed for the front
door.
Shawn looked over to his friend and said, “It’s just a house dude. Same as yours
only a little bigger is all, so calm down.” Shawn opened the front door and
hollered to his mother. “Mom, I’m home. I have a new friend I would like you to
meet.”
Kelly was amazed when she heard this. Shawn had never brought a sole into their
house so she was dying to meet this person who he calls his friend. She walked
into the living room where she saw her son and his new friend.
Shawn looked at his mother and said, “Hi Mom, this is Colin, he’s my new friend.
He is new to our school and we have every class together. Oh I almost forgot
Colin has to call his Mom back to let her know he’s all right and she would like
to talk with you too. Is that alright?”
Kelly introduced herself to Colin. “Hi Colin,” she said. “I’m Mrs. Maxwell, and
it is very nice to meet you. Shawn has never had a friend over before so you
should feel very special. The phone is right over there on the counter.”
Colin smiled at Shawn’s mother. He didn’t get tense or scared like he thought he
would. He walked over to the phone and called his mother at work and let her
know he was safe at Shawn’s and would be home on time. He also told her that
Mrs. Maxwell wanted to speak with her for a few minutes also. He handed her the
phone and went off with Shawn to see his friend’s bedroom.
Both boys bounded up the stairs like they were 5 instead of 14. Mrs. Maxwell had
to call to the boys while she was speaking to Colin’s mother. “No running in the
house boys. That’s the only rule here.”
They quickly slowed down and when they reached Shawn’s door, they looked at each
other and just giggled. Shawn turned the handle to the door and gave it a gentle
push open. Colin just stood there in awe of everything he saw just from the
opening of the door. He felt Shawn take his hand and led him inside. Looking
around the room Colin said, “Man dude, this place is so cool. You have
everything here. I love that poster of Mel Gibson from Braveheart, he is
fantastic.”
Shawn closed the door so they could play without disturbing his mother. He
turned towards Colin and caught sight of his eyes and reached for his friend.
Colin saw this and he stepped forward so his friend could hold him. Shawn was
able now to look deeper into his friend’s eyes. He held him close and said to
him, “Colin, I love you. I have never felt like this before and to be honest, I
don’t know why I do.”
Then Shawn did something that even surprised himself. He lifted his friend’s
head and gave him a gentle kiss on the lips. Colin shuddered when he felt his
friend kiss him. Colin hugged Shawn closer to his body and said, “I love you too
Shawn. I have never felt this way either but I do know this. I am so happy that
I have met you. I don’t ever want to be without your love or friendship ever
again. I can’t imagine my life without you being a part of it and I don’t know
how I lived all these years without you.”
Colin looked up at his friend holding him and gently kissed his friend back.
While he was kissing Shawn, Colin felt something else beginning to happen. He
felt his manhood stir inside his jeans. Shawn had the same thing beginning to
happen to him at the same time. Both boys wiggled a little and felt each other’s
hardness. Colin suddenly got very scared. His eyes filled with tears and he
began to weep uncontrollably. He tried to pull away but Shawn held him tight.
“Oh Shawn,” Colin cried. “I’m sorry. Please don’t hate me. I don’t know what
happened. Just let me go so I can leave and never come back.”
Shawn held his friend tight and let his tears subside. When Colin had calmed
down so he could hear Shawn said, “I don’t hate you Colin. Did you feel me? I’m
just like you. Mine is hard too so don’t worry about it. It gets like this a
lot. I just think of something else and it goes away but this time, it felt
good. I don’t know why it does that, do you?”
While he was talking, Shawn felt something sticky against his skin. Not thinking
anything of it, he stepped back and simply dropped is pants and underwear to see
what it was. Colin gasped when he saw his friend pull everything down. He also
giggled. Colin said, “That’s the baby stuff. My Dad and I had the talk about
that stuff last year. It’s called sperm. When that stuff meets with a girl’s
egg, a baby is made.”
Shawn touched the sticky liquid on the end of his penis and said, “It feels
sticky. What else did your Dad say? My dick felt weird when I touched it too.”
Colin had never felt the baby stuff on his skin before but he too was feeling it
today. He did just like Shawn and dropped his pants to the floor. Colin rubbed
the tip and he felt a lightening bolt course through out his entire body. “Wow,
so did mine. Dad says when it’s touched just right or the end is rubbed, the
baby stuff comes out.”
Each lad was amazed at seeing someone else’s most private things for the very
first time. Shawn was in a trance. He stepped close to his friend and lightly
touched the tip of his friend’s penis. As soon as he had made contact, he saw
Colin shudder. Colin looked up at his friend. “God Shawn that felt good. It felt
better than when I did it.” Shawn did not need a second invitation. He took his
finger and rubbed it around the tip of his friend’s penis. Colin sucked air in
and said, “Oh my Shawn, something is going to happen.”
That was all the warning Colin could muster. Two very weak watery jets of liquid
came out of Colin’s tool and at the same time, Shawn shot also. No one touched
him but he climaxed just the same. Each boy was breathing heavy and Shawn went
to get some tissues so they could clean themselves up from their first joint
lesson in sex education. Each boy cleaned them self up and pulled their pants
back up. Colin leaned forward a little and kissed Shawn on the cheek. “That was
so cool,” Colin said. “Thank you. I think I love you even more now.”
Shawn brought his friend into a hug and said, “I love you too” then kissed him
on the lips.
The boys held each other for a few minutes until Shawn’s mother brought them
back into reality. “Boys, can you both come down here for a minute please?”
Colin froze in Shawn’s arms. Shawn could feel his friend tense up and start to
shake fearing that some how she knew what they had just done. “Shush babe and
calm down. No one knows what happened in here.” Shawn held Colin for a few more
seconds then as he felt him relax he started giggling.
All of sudden, Colin’s eyes got big and he started getting angry. “Just what’s
so funny?” Colin said.
Shawn looked at his friend then realized he was almost in deep shit. Shawn
walked over and took the love of his life into his arms and said, “Well if you
must know, it’s you. It seems all day you’re tensing up over almost nothing at
all. Just a minute ago you looked like you had yourself worked up into a
seizure. Babe, I won’t let anything happen to you especially if you and I are
together. And one more thing, when you are in this room here with me, this is
the safest place you can ever be.”
When he finished talking he kissed Colin on the cheek. Colin thought about his
words for a few minutes then a strange look came across his face. Shawn had to
take a step back so he could get a better look at Colin’s face. Then Colin
started giggling too. Shawn relaxed when he heard Colin say, “I know Shawn and
you’re right I need to learn to relax more. Please don’t be angry with me. I’m
trying but this is all so new to me.”
Shawn hugged Colin quickly and said, “I know babe. This is new to me too and I’m
sorry I laughed at you. Now, come on and let’s go see what my Mom wants or she
will be up here.”
That was all the encouragement Colin needed. He grabbed Shawn’s hand and was
almost dragging his friend down the stairs. Colin seemed to lose he fear because
he now had the lead. “You called us Mrs. Maxwell? Sorry, we were playing a video
game and didn’t hear you.”
Shawn gave his friend an evil grin as they headed over to his mother. Mrs.
Maxwell was just setting the hand set to the telephone back into its base.
“Colin,” she started. “I had a lovely talk with your mother. She tells me that
you are a very polite and well mannered young man.”
Shawn jumped to protect his love now. “Awe Mom, don’t embarrass him, please?”
Colin stepped in and said smiling at Shawn said, “It’s alright, I’m used to
that. My mom tells everyone that I’m polite. It’s not until people really get to
know me that they see how I really am.”
That got Mrs. Maxwell laughing hysterically. “Colin, I just don’t see you as
being unmannered.”
Colin had to wait a minute or to two before he could speak again. “No ma’am I’m
not but I did get you going, didn’t I?”
After she stopped laughing she said, “I must admit that you got me. It takes
quite a bit to do that but you did it and with a straight face too. I concede
that you are the better man now. The reason I called you boys down was I asked
your mom if it would be alright if you stayed here for dinner tomorrow.”
Colin’s eyes got huge. He looked over to Shawn who already had a huge grin on
his face then looked back to Mrs. Maxwell. As he started speaking, his eyes
started to well up with tears. “You mean it? No one has ever asked me that
before. You and Shawn are so nice.”
Mrs. Maxwell saw this and immediately came over to comfort the crying child. She
opened her arms, and gently drew him into her bosom and held him as gently as
she would a newborn baby. In a soft voice she talked to him. “Easy Colin it’s
alright. You’re all right now. We’re all friends here. Your mother did tell me
that for some reason you don’t seem to make friends easily. Look, there is
something I would like to tell you but before I do, Shawn can you show Colin
where the bathroom is so he can wash his face?”
Shawn took his friend by the hand and let him to one of the two downstairs
bathrooms. As Shawn reached for his friend’s hand, he noticed his mother wink at
him and gave him what appeared to be a very knowing and accepting smile. The
boys headed to the bathroom and Shawn was now thinking to himself about what he
just saw.
Shawn had firmly believed that his mother didn’t know or even wanted to know
much of anything about him. Was he wrong and if so, how could he have missed it
all these years. There was one thing that he, up until this day, had as a deep
secret. This was the fact that while he liked girls as friends, they did
absolutely nothing for him. His two closest male friends, Ray and Lance, on the
other hand were cute beyond his wildest dreams. He was also very aware what guys
like Ray and Lance were called. He had done a little research on that topic on
his computer and found out that today they are referred to as gay people. He
also didn’t know all that much about sex. Heck, he learned more about that
subject today then he had in his 14 years of life.
Colin had finished washing his face and he saw that Shawn had completely zoned
out on him. He was wondering just where his friend was so he thought it was time
to bring him back down to earth. Colin stepped a little closer to Shawn and gave
him a quick kiss on the lips to get his attention. “What’s wrong dude? Man your
mom is so neat. She even cares about you dude. Do you know when the last time my
mom held me when I cried like that was? I was about 6 or was it 7. Darn dude, I
don’t and can’t remember when it was and your mom held me just like I so wish my
own mother would. Now do you see why I say you are so lucky?”
Shawn looked at his friend and he did see why he thought his life was perfect.
He knew he had to tell Colin that he didn’t really like girls. He really didn’t
think that, by itself, would bother him but when he told him about Ray and
Lance; that was something entirely different. He knew if his mom were to say
something that Colin would pick up on, he would run right out of his life.
“Colin there is something I need to tell you and I want you to hear this from
me. Just promise me that what ever you do, please don’t hate me. I love you too
much to know that you would ever hate me.”
Colin first thought that his friend was being overly mellow dramatic but that
was just another of the many things he totally loved about him. He knew that he
had given his heart completely to Shawn in just a very few hours, so he couldn’t
think of anything he could tell him that would cause a change in the way he
felt. “Shawn, I don’t what it is you have to tell me, but I just want you to
know that I could never hate you. Now what is it?”
Shawn gently took both his friends hands into his and looked right into his soft
brown eyes. “Babe, I don’t like girls. Oh, they’re ok. Don’t get me wrong,
Maggie is real cool but to like them as to have one like Bill does, no way. I
think Ray and Lance are two of the cutest guys in class but not as cute as you.
When I saw you take your shirt off today, I so wanted to just hug you right then
and there. You are just so, ah, well perfect to me.”
Colin took a deep breath just so he could relax before responding to his
friend’s admission and declaration. “Well Shawn, I can say that in the girl
department, I don’t care much for them either. I like Maggie and she is so cool
but maybe that’s because of Lance. I also think Ray and Lance are real cute and
it’s good that they are like us. I thought I heard Lance refer to Ray as his
boyfriend too but I’m not sure there. If my loving you means that I’m gay too,
then so be it; I’m gay! If that’s what you had to tell me Shawn, I don’t hate
you. That took guts and I love you for that.” Then Colin slipped his hand around
Shawn’s head and gently pulled him towards his lips and gave him the most
passionate kiss he could muster.
Shawn was hypnotized now. “Wow babe. That was amazing. God how I love you babe,
but before this goes to far we better see what my mom wants to tell us.”
Both boys went back to the kitchen where Mrs. Maxwell had prepared a snack for
the boys along with some milk so she could talk. Mrs. Maxwell was sitting at the
table and as soon as the two hungry teens spied the plate of chocolate brownies
they quickly joined her and gave her their undivided attention.
Mrs. Maxwell took a sip of her coffee before she spoke. “Well Colin, like I said
we are all friends here. I know Shawn doesn’t make friends to easily himself but
I also know that he sure has friends outside this house. You are the very first
person he has brought inside here. His friends have all been welcome here and I
have told him that. Shawn, for some reason, just won’t let a single person get
close to him where he can be totally himself. I can see the way he looks at you
Colin. You have touched a nerve in him that has allowed him to break out of that
shell he has built around himself.”
Both boys were eating and listening intently to what Mrs. Maxwell was saying.
Shawn was hanging on every word because he had no idea what she would, could or
even possibly say that could account for that smile she gave him a few minutes
earlier. He did know this however, there was now nothing between him and Colin
that could tear them apart. But Shawn was still wondering just what his mother
knew. He would find out in just another few minutes.
To be continued...
