Chapter
17
Kevin's Next Victory
Although Kevin seemed to enjoy the horseback riding the next
morning, Jerry could tell that he was preoccupied, which was not
surprising. Having been encouraged to practice his novice skills of
finding a partner and especially having been given a license to have
sex with Casey, Kevin was understandably distracted.
Casey had briefly spoken to Kevin at breakfast and they had agreed
to meet in the pool after lunch. Casey's family would be exploring
the hiking trails throughout the afternoon and Jerry said he would
relax in the lobby of the Lodge.
"You don't want to swim with us?" asked Kevin.
"No. I think it would be better if you and Casey were together in
the pool without your grandpa around. That would probably discourage
Casey from giving or accepting any suggestive comments."
"Yeah. I suppose you're right," Kevin admitted. "But I don't like
the idea of leaving you alone. It doesn't seem fair."
"Don't worry, Kevin. I really do want you to gain experience in
finding somebody who shares your intersts. And I'm quite sure that
we'll be together tonight. All night. I'm looking forward to that."
During most of the horseback ride, Kevin's agile mind was busy
plotting a strategy while simultaneously appearing (poorly) to be
interested in the ride. By the time they returned their mounts to
the stable, Kevin felt comfortable with his afternoon plans.
At lunch, Casey once again made it a point to stop by Kevin and
Jerry's table. "We're still on for swimming this afternoon?" he
asked Kevin.
"Sure thing," he responded, perhaps a little too eagerly.
Turning to Jerry, Casey said, "I hope it's all right with you, Mr.
Knowland. It doesn't interfere with your plans, does it?"
Jerry was pleased that Casey was considerate enough to ask and
replied, "Not at all. I thought I would take my Jeep into town for
servicing and a check up before the long drive home.
That leaves Kevin here alone all afternoon and I know he'll enjoy
himself with you as company. I don't think I'll be back until at
least five o'clock so you two have fun." Mentioning that he would be
gone all afternoon was, of course, deliberately telling both Casey
and Kevin that they could be alone together. Casey smiled but Kevin
showed a little surprise since he thought Jerry would spend the
afternoon in the lobby.
After leaving the restaurant, Kevin said, "I still can't believe
you're doing this for me, grandpa. But I'm worried that I'll do
something stupid and screw things up."
"I'm doing it because I want to. I want you to learn how to find a
partner. You may make a mistake -- it's basically a trial-and-error
process -- but if you do make a mistake, it's something you can
learn from. Then again, you may make no mistakes. You've got a good
mind and good instincts. Who knows, Casey might want the same thing
you do and you'll have a very satisfying afternoon. And by the way,
when I get back from town, I won't go to the cabin. I'll meet you in
the lobby for dinner."
Kevin was the first to get to the pool. He looked around for Casey
and was disappointed not to see him. He swam a few laps and looked
again. Still no Casey. His spirits were sinking until he saw Casey
come through the outside door looking absolutely stunning. At 17,
Casey had developed into an extremely virile-looking hunk that was
only barely detectible when he wore shirt and pants. Kevin called to
him and Casey's face lit up before he jumped into the pool alongside
Kevin.
The two boys swam, dove, and enjoyed the water for a while but both,
unknown to the other, were working up courage to take the first,
tentative step toward what each wanted. Each boy was encouraged by
the other's increasingly obvious glances but each boy was also
hesitant to do more than look.
They sat on the edge of the pool to rest and Kevin's impatience
prompted him to make the first move. "You've got a great body. For
swimming, I mean."
Casey looked at Kevin quizzically, unsure of whether to respond to
the 'body' or the 'for swimming' part of the comment. He chose to
take the next step. "Thanks. I could say the same about you." He
then looked long and admiringly at Kevin and let his eyes linger
tellingly on Kevin's crotch.
Kevin's smile could have simply meant he was flattered but it might
have meant he understood and welcomed the underlying meaning of
Casey's uninhibited stare. Kevin took what, for him, was a bold
step. He spread his legs just enough to be noticed and said, "Do you
like what you see?"
It became quite obvious that Kevin was sending a signal. "Yes, I
do," he replied. "You've got a great body, too. At least the parts I
can see."
They grinned at each other knowingly. Kevin was amazed at how easy
it had been to uncover Casey's interest and pleased to know that it
was what he hoped it would be. But then a thought crossed his mind
and he chuckled.
Casey was now confused. "What's funny?" he asked.
"Sorry," Kevin replied. "I was just thinking of Dustin Hoffman."
Now Casey was thoroughly confused so Kevin had to tell him what
happened to Dustin Hoffman in Tootsie, concluding with "I wanted to
say something like that right after we met in the game room but I
was afraid you would punch me out or something."
Casey then laughed along with Kevin and said, "I did too. In fact,
I'll say it now." He looked around to see if anyone might overhear
and in a soft voice said, "I like you. I'd like to go someplace and
get naked with you. I'm getting hard just thinking about it."
"As long as we're being honest, I'd like that, too. Let's go back to
my cabin. Grandpa will be gone all afternoon. We'll have two or
three hours alone."
"But what if he comes back early and catches us?"
Kevin knew that Jerry would not walk in on them but, of course,
couldn't tell Casey that his grandpa had promised the two of them
private time just in case things worked out between them. Instead,
he said, "No problem. Grandpa knows I'm gay and he's cool with it.
He would understand. He'd probably just say excuse me and leave us
alone until we're finished."
"You're sure?"
"No doubt about it at all."
"Geez," Casey exclaimed. "My parents would yell and scream at me if
they knew. They'd probably make me go to a shrink of something."
"Trust me. My grandpa's not like that. He's very open-minded."
"Well..." Casey said. "If you're sure, then we're wasting time
sitting here talking about it."
To be continued...
