Chapter 43
After leaving the jail, I headed to the school. I was just in time for lunch. I got my meal then relieved Ed. He looked at me. “Man how do you keep up with them?”
I sat down and smiled. “It’s easy once you get the hang of it.” Ed joined me for lunch then I escorted the boys to their next class. Once the bell had rung, I walked Ed outside. He dropped a bombshell on me. “Ace, I want you to be one of the first people I tell this to.”
My heart and stomach traded places. “You’re not sick are you buddy?” I asked.
He smiled and shook his head, “Oh no, nothing like that. I’ve submitted my retirement papers.”
“What?” I almost screamed.
“Calm down buddy,” Ed said softly.
“What will I do without you? I asked as I fought to keep back tears.
“You’ll be fine Ace.” Ed said pulling me into a hug. “You’ll be my successor as Special Agent in Charge.”
I looked at him. “You were hell bent and determined to get me into that position, weren’t you?”
He smiled. “Ace, I’ve always felt you were the best man for that job.”
I sighed because that was now inevitable. “Alright now who will be your replacement on the team?”
“I’ve given that a lot of thought. My recommendation will be Pete Morgan. He’s come a long way and his attitude has really changed for the good.”
“I have to admit you’re right there. He’s even gained Bennie’s trust and that’s saying a lot.”
“I know and that’s why I think he’ll do a good job.”
“Have you talked to him about this?” I asked.
“No, not yet,” He started. “Right now the only people I’ve told have been Ben and Evelyn.”
“How long have you been with the service?” I asked.
“I’ve been here over thirty years and it’s starting to take its toll on me.”
“Have I missed something? You always look so fit and healthy.”
He pulled his pant leg up showing me his knee. “Arthritis is setting into my joints. I can’t run like I used to. I barely passed my last physical agility test.”
“Have you seen the house doc?” I asked.
“Yeah and he said it looks like rheumatoid arthritis. He’s got me started on some medication but he told me I need to slow down.”
I knew slowing down in this job wasn’t really an option. I took a deep breath. “I understand buddy. When will this become public knowledge?”
“The end of the month, this is my anniversary month and I’ll have thirty five years.”
“You don’t look all that old.” I said.
“Thanks, I’m sixty six years old.” Ed said smiling.
“I’m going to have to plan a big send off for you.”
Ed started shaking his head. “You know I’m not into huge parties for me.”
I started laughing. “Sorry buddy, this isn’t an option. Besides, do you really think you can just leave without Gloria having a special dinner for you?”
“No, I suppose not.” Ed said. “Just don’t go too overboard, please?”
I giggled. “I’ll try not to. Now you better get back inside. We’ve been talking here for almost an hour.”
I gave Ed a parting hug then hurried to the classroom. Just as I got there, the bell rang then it was on to physical education.
I was lost in my own thoughts and Bennie saw it, “What’s on your mind Ace?”
That brought me back to reality, “Oh nothing love.”
“Bull,” Bennie said. “I can read you like a book.”
We went into the dressing room and we quickly changed into our shorts. We entered the gym and it was then I heard rain pounding on the roof. It seems the bottom opened up while we were changing and I hadn’t heard it.
The coach came in. “It looks like Mother Nature has changed the lesson plans I had so let’s all go into the wrestling room.”
We got up and started to go into the room when Bobby came running in. “Sorry I’m late Coach,” Bobby said as he handed him a piece of paper.
“Just don’t make a habit out of it. How are you doing?”
“I’m doing great now. What I did was really stupid.”
The coach put his arm around his shoulder then led him into the room. As soon as the boys saw him, they let out a big cheer. Bobby turned red as he didn’t like being the center of attention. “Thanks guys. It’s good to be back and I have to apologize to everyone for my actions. I acted like a total jerk and I hope you all can forgive me.”
Bennie was one of the first to jump up and go over to him. “Don’t worry about it buddy.”
Just then one of the jocks stood up. “What the fuck are you doing back here? Shouldn’t you be in special education?”
Bennie started for the boy when the coach blew his whistle, almost shattering our ear drums. “Williams, that’s just enough.”
“Why coach?” The smart ass kid said as he stuck his foot out tripping Bobby as he walked past.
The coach was pissed. He went over and grabbed the boy by the shirt to lead him out when the kid threw a sucker punch and caught the man off guard. Bennie was on the kid in a second. “Bennie NO,” I shouted.
“That’s right Jacobs, listen to your mommy.” The kid spouted.
Before I could get over to him, the kid went flying into the wall. “Don’t you ever lay a hand on a teacher here again.”
I went over and pulled the kid to his feet. “That’s enough out of you.”
He tried to sucker punch me but before he could, I had his arm behind his back. “Let me go you kike loving fag.”
I reached into my fanny pack and put him into cuffs. “You’re under arrest for attempted assault on a federal officer. Bennie, with me.”
“What about the coach Ace?” Bennie asked.
Jake and Carl came over and held on to the big mouth while I checked on the coach who was now sitting up. “Are you alright?” I asked helping him to his feet.
“Yeah, I’m fine. I didn’t expect that but I’ve been hit worse. Why is he in cuffs?”
“Because he tried to assault me,” I answered.
I took the boy down to the office then talked with James. He saw the jock in cuffs. “Well Mr. Williams, it looks like you’ve finally done it this time.”
“I didn’t do shit.” He spat.
“Watch your language. You know I don’t tolerate the use of profanity.”
“Get me out of these NOW!” He screamed.
I went over to him. “They’ll be off as soon as you’re booked into the detention center. Terry, can you contact this boy’s parents please?”
I had to stay in the office while I waited for the boy’s parents. Bennie came over and hung his head. “I’m sorry Ace but I wasn’t about to stand by and watch him beat up the coach.”
James came over. “Benjamin, did you put your hands on another student again?”
Bennie nodded his head meekly. “Yes sir but it was only to defend the coach. Williams started everything when he tripped Bobby Brinkman then threw a sucker punch that put the coach on his butt.”
James looked at the kid. “What do you have to say for yourself?”
“I don’t have shit to say. That kid Brinkman has no business being here.”
James went nose to nose with him. “And who gave you the right to say who can come here?”
“I did.” He spat.
Just then a voice said, “You did what?”
I looked and there was an older version of the boy. “I’m Special Agent Mason with the Secret Service.”
“I’m Kent Williams and that’s my son Marvin. What did he do now?”
“It seems Marvin here decided to trip another student then he hit the coach. The reason he’s in hand cuffs is because he tried to assault me.”
“You kike loving faggot,” Marvin shouted. “You all should burn in hell.”
Kent walked over to his son. I stood back hoping he wouldn’t backhand his son, even though he deserved it. “Agent Mason, get him out of here before I lose control.”
I sat the boy down in a chair then he tried to kick me. I managed to grab his leg and in doing so, he slipped out of the chair and landed hard on his ass. “Listen punk, if you try that again, I’ll have you wrapped up like a Christmas present, do you understand me?”
He got his other foot up then Bennie ran over and grabbed it and pulled it making a wish. “Don’t you kick at him or so help me god, I’ll break this leg.”
“Fuck you.” He said spitting at Bennie.
Bennie put his foot on the boys stomach then stepped on him. He went to stomp on him but I reached out and stopped it. “Don’t Bennie.”
“Yeah, listen to your mommy.”
Bennie leaned down and snatched him up. “Hand cuffs or not, I should kick your ass just for the pure fun of it.”
Williams spit in Bennie’s face then Bennie head butted him sending him back into the chair. I stepped in between them. “Now stay there or I’ll put you back in it myself.”
Bennie went to the boy’s room and washed his face while I called Metro PD to transport the kid. When they arrived, reality hit home. “Dad, don’t let them take me.”
Kent walked over to him. “You’ve done this yourself.”
“WHAT? You’re not going to help me?”
“No, not this time. It’s time you learned there are consequences for your actions.”
Kent turned and walked away. “Fuck you old man.” Marvin spat. “I don’t need you anyway.”
I could see the pain his son’s statement caused. I went over to him. “I’m sorry Mr. Williams.”
“It’s not your fault. I’ve always tried to raise him right but since his mother passed away, he’s become more and more rebellious. I never thought he would take things this far.”
Kent watched has Metro PD took the boy and led him over to their car. Before they left he went over to it. “Listen well Marvin. You’ve done this to yourself. I’ve tried to teach you right from wrong and be a decent man but it seems I’ve failed you.”
“You want to help me?” Marvin shouted. “Then get me out of here.”
“I’m sorry son but that’s not going to happen.”
“Fine, I’ll use my own money to find a bondsman.”
Kent stopped and turned around. “No you won’t because I’ll lock your bank accounts. I opened them and I still control them. Now you’ll have to stand on your own two feet.”
“WHAT, YOU CAN’T!!!” Marvin screamed as the officer closed the door.
Kent turned around and slowly walked away as tears rolled down his cheeks. I went over to him. “You’ve done all you could.”
“I know but it seems it wasn’t enough Agent Mason.” Kent said softly as he wiped his eyes.
“You can’t force things on them. All you can do is teach him and guide him and hope he takes the right path.”
He took a deep breath. “I suppose you’re right. So what should I do?”
I thought for a moment. “Maybe some counseling would help.”
“I don’t know,” He said. “He’s never been one to open up with his feelings. It took him ages to morn his mother’s death but he never really got past that.”
“That could account for all of the anger in him. I think counseling should at least be tried.”
“I’ll yield to your judgment.” Kent said. “But how could it be enforced?”
“Court ordered.” I said. “He’d have to attend and the judge could request progress reports to see how well it’s working.”
Kent thought for a moment. “Maybe that will work. He’s really a good kid with a lot of potential.”
“Let’s hope this works because I’d hate to see him lost in the correctional system.”
Kent and I walked back to James’s office. James looked at Kent. “I’m sorry Mr. Williams but Marvin’s behavior was totally unacceptable today.”
“I understand Sir, I can’t understand what got into him. Now, I’m not making excuses for him.”
James nodded weakly and slid a piece of paper towards Kent. “I’m sorry to have to say this but I have no choice but to expel him.”
“I understand,” Kent said. “He’s made his choices, now he’ll have to live with them.”
James sighed. “I hate losing a child.”
“Don’t blame yourself Mr. Robinson. I’m the one who bears the responsibility here.”
Bennie came up to me. “Ace, we better get back to the gym, class is almost over.”
I shook Kent’s hand then Bennie and I returned to the gym. When we returned, I saw Joey sitting with Bobby and he was still visibly upset. Bennie ran over to him. “What’s wrong Bobby?”
“I shouldn’t have come back.”
Bennie gently slapped his hand. “Don’t talk like that.”
Bobbie got up and ran out of the class with Joey hot on his heels. Bennie took off and followed them into the locker room. Bobby was sitting on a bench crying. “Why am I being treated like a leper?”
“Because they’re small minded twits” Bennie said wrapping his arms around his friend.
“I should have…”
“Don’t think like that baby.” Joey said.
“He’s right,” A voice said.
They looked up and saw the coach standing there. “Bobby, you’re a bright student with a lot of potential. I see a great future ahead of you.”
Bobby looked up and wiped his eyes then smiled weakly. “Thanks coach for just being nice to me.”
Joey slapped his hand. “Stop it Bobby. The coach isn’t just being nice.”
“Yeah right,”
“Stop it Bobby.” Bennie said firmly as I came into the room. “Ace, will you talk some sense into him please?”
I went over and sat down beside Bobby. “What’s going on son? You’re not letting that small minded individual get to you?”
“Ace, look you all are just being nice to me.”
“Am I just being nice to you? I thought you knew me better than that.”
“Yeah but…” Bobby started.
“No buts son.” I said. “I am your friend and you know it and so is Bennie.”
Joey held Bobby in his arms until he heard the others coming in. A few of his friends came up to him. “Bobby, what’s wrong?”
Joey spoke up before Bobby could speak. “He thinks everyone is just pretending to be his friend.”
“That’s crap Bobby. We are your friends. If that asshole ever comes back here, he’ll get an ass kicking he’ll never forget.” One of the boys said.
“Don’t talk like that.” I said. “He’s been arrested on charges of assault. If he should get out and returns to school, I DO NOT WANT ANYONE OF YOU TRYING TO EXACT A POUND OF FLESH. DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR TO ALL OF YOU?”
My words got everyone’s attention. “Yes Agent Mason,” One of the boys said. “We will let you and the laws take care of Williams.”
“Thanks boys,” I said. “You don’t need to get yourselves into trouble over someone who’s not worth it.”
Joey let go of Bobby’s hand so he could take a shower. “NOOOOOO!” Bobby wailed. “Don’t leave me alone.”
Bennie took the crying boy’s hand. “I’ll stay with you.”
Bobby relaxed as he saw Bennie. I went outside and called Bob and explained everything to him. “Ace, I can’t take off and my wife isn’t home. I don’t know what I’m going to do.”
I thought for a moment. “What about Joey, could he stay with him?”
“Gee Ace, I don’t know. He told me his parents don’t know he’s gay and was afraid of what they would do if they found out. I guess you can talk to Joey.”
“Alright Bob. Worst case scenario is Bobby stays with Bennie and me at the residence.”
“Ace, I can’t put you and the President out like this.”
“Nonsense,” I said. “You let me handle this now, alright?”
“Alright Ace and thank you. I owe you big time.”
“Just stay safe out there tonight. I’ll talk with you later and let you know what’s going on.”
“That’s fine. Bobby has a key to the house so he can get some clean clothes for tomorrow.”
I ended the call then went and talked with Joey. “Gee Ace, we have company so I doubt my parents would let Bobby stay over.”
“Alright Joey, not to worry. I’ll use plan B.” I said reaching for my phone.
I called Ben and I was glad he wasn’t busy. “Mr. President.”
“Yes Ace,” He said. “What’s this going to cost me?”
I turned red knowing he could read me like a book. “Sir, we have a small problem here and I was wondering…”
“Small problem?” Ben said laughing.
“Well, he’s not so small but he is in need of some help.”
“Who is it?” Ben asked.
“It’s Bobby Brinkman Jr.” I said.
“Oh no, don’t tell me he tried to hurt himself again.”
“No Sir, nothing like that but…” I started then Ben interrupted me.
“He needs a place to stay for the night?”
“You read my mind Sir.” I said laughing.
“Bring him over, he can stay as long as needed and I’ll let Gloria know we’ll be having guests.”
“Thank you Sir.” I said.
“No problem Ace. You know how I feel about kids who’ve tried to hurt themselves and besides, Bennie would never let me hear the end of it, if I refused.”
I ended the call then went back inside. I found Joey then motioned him to come over to me. “OK son, that’s been settled now do you think you can stay with us?”
“Us?” Joey asked as his eyes got huge.
“Yes, Bobby will be staying at the residence with Bennie and me.”
“Oh wow, that sounds so cool. I’ll call my parents and ask.”
Joey called and I could only hear one side of the conversation but I could tell the answer was no. he had to pull the phone away from his ear and I could hear someone screaming at him. “Listen, you get your ass home NOW. Your grandparents are here to see you and they damn sight will. DO YOU HEAR ME?”
Joey was in tears. “Yes ma’am he said weakly then ended the call.
I quickly got a shower then put my clothes on. Bennie, Joey, Bobby and I headed for the busses followed by Tonka. When we got there, we saw the busses leaving and Joey started crying. “Now how am I going to get home.”
I wrapped my arm around his shoulder. “Don’t you worry now, I’ll see to it you get home, now everyone into the Hummer.”
As soon as I opened the door, Tonka took his spot followed by the boys. I got the directions to Joey’s house but on the way, I dropped Bobby off at his so he could get some clean clothes. “Thanks Ace, I’ll walk up to Joey’s and meet you all there.”
I waited until Bobby went inside then drove up to Joey’s. He got out then I waited until he was safe inside. As soon as Joey went to open the door, I saw a hand reach out then grab him by the hair then pulled him inside then the door slammed shut. Right away I could hear Joey screaming. “Ow stop that hurts.”
I put the Hummer in park then got out with Tonka hot on my heels. “Stay here Bennie.”
“No Ace, if someone is hurting Joey, I want to protect him.” Bennie said with a look on his face that said he wasn’t going to take no for an answer.
“Alright love, but stay behind me.”
“Yes Ace.” He said as he jumped out.
We ran up to the door as I hung my credentials on my pocket. Right away, I started banging on the door. “Federal Agent, open the door NOW!”
A woman opened the door and I could hear crying inside. “What do you want?” She screamed at me.
“Back up,” I said.
“Fuck you!” She said then slammed the door in my face as I heard someone yelling, “You son of a bitch, you called the cops.”
“Hold the screen door for me Ace.” Bennie yelled.
I opened it then drew my weapon. Bennie stood there for a moment then with one move, he kicked the front door open. The woman came running towards Bennie with a knife in her hand. “Get the hell out of here.”
Bennie used his foot and connected with her jaw. It’s a good thing I had my weapon out because then some teen came in holding a shotgun. “My mom said get out, now you can watch this queer die.”
He moved the gun towards Joey who was nearly unconscious. “Drop it kid, don’t make me kill you.”
I was aiming at his chest and I was hoping he’d drop the shotgun. But he raised the weapon.
<BANG>
I fired one shot hitting him in the middle of the chest. He went down in a heap as the father came in “You bastard, you killed my son.”
“FREEZE!” I said as he knelt down then tried to hit on Joey.
“Fuck you” He said then I sent Tonka over to protect the unconscious boy. “ARGH,” he screamed as Tonka had him by the wrist.
I got my cuffs out then called Tonka off. After I secured the man I called Metro PD and an ambulance. I checked on the teen and he was dead. I then turned my attention to Joey. I gently slapped him on the cheek to see if I could revive him. “Come on Joey, wake up son.”
Bennie was standing over the woman he’d knocked out. “How is he Ace?”
I heard Joey moan as he came too. “He’s regaining consciousness.” I said.
“Oh Ace,” He started saying.
Bennie and I traded places “Hold on Joey,” Bennie said holding his hand.”
I heard sirens in the distance getting louder so I had Bennie stand outside so he could direct the medics. The woman was coming around then she started cussing. “That punk kid hit me, I’ll sue his ass.”
“Shut your mouth,” I said as I heard Bennie talking to a police officer.”
As soon as he stepped in, he saw the carnage. “Ace what the hell happened?”
I looked and saw Bob standing there. “These so called people decided to use their son for a punching bag and then one of them tried to shoot him. Hand me your cuffs please.” I said reaching my hand out.
He went over and cuffed the woman. As he tried to help her to her feet, she decided she was going to try and kick Bob but all that did was cause her to be put back down again. “Don’t try that again. Ace, hold on to her while I get my hobbles.”
He hurried out to his car then returned and quickly had her wrapped up like a Christmas goose. “Let me go,” She said as we tried to get her to her feet.
I was in a real pissy mood so I wasn’t going to put up with her shit. I loosened my grip on her letting her face hit the floor. “You said to let you go.”
“You fucking bastard.” She screamed.
“Shut it lady,” Bob said pulling out his taser. If you fight us again I’ll tase you.”
Metro’s Crime Scene Unit came out and one of the officers held his hand out. “I’ll need your weapon.”
I shook my head. “Sorry but that’s not happening.” I said.
He looked at Bob. “Lieutenant, will you tell him we need it.”
“I know you do, I said but I’m still on duty. If you contact the Secret Service, they have a round on file.”
“Ace,” Bob said as he put my hand on my shoulder.
I was about to say something when Ed came in. “Ed, what are you doing here?”
“Bennie called. What the hell happened?”
Bob took his tape recorder out and I gave him my statement. I handed my weapon to Ed then Bob went over and picked up the shotgun. It was a double barreled model so he had to break it open to unload it. He looked at me. “Ace, we have a problem here.”
I looked and there were no shells in it. “I didn’t know that.” I said to my friend.
“This is going to make things difficult now.”
Before I could reply Ed did. “What would you have done Lieutenant? Ask him if it was loaded then watch as someone is killed in front of you?”
Bob closed the shotgun then shook his head. “I would have done the same thing, “Protected the public.”
The woman saw this and started screaming. “You murdered my son. MURDERER, MURDERER.”
Two uniformed officers came in and carried the screaming woman outside and loaded her into their car. The medics had checked Joey out and he was very lucky. The coroner came in and removed the body then I looked at Bob. “Oh god, I hope Bobby doesn’t have a meltdown now.” I said as I hurried outside.
The sight I saw wasn’t pleasant. Bennie was in the Hummer with the door open holding on to Bobby as he cried while he held on to Joey. “Bob, I need to get these two to the residence.”
Bob went over to the officer’s car and opened the back door. The woman was shouting and cussing at Bob. “Let me out of here now.” She spat.
I heard the screaming then went over. “Shut your mouth now. You beat the hell out of your son.”
“That faggot!!! He’s no son of mine. Why aren’t you arresting him?”
“Because he’s not broken the law,” I said.
“Bullshit, he broke God’s law.”
“That’s none of my business. I’m here to enforce man’s laws.”
“Well smartass, I only listen to God’s laws and his words.”
“Then you should be aware that God says thou shalt not kill.”
“It also says man shouldn’t lie with another man as he does with a woman.” She fired back but I wasn’t going to stand there and debate this with her.
“That’s between him and his God but now you have to answer for your crimes.”
“He’s no son of mine.” She shouted loud enough for the whole street to hear.
Just then, Joey came over. “Fine, if that’s the way you want it, I’ll pack my things and stay with Bobby and his father. He loves me just as I am.”
“Good riddance.” She spat.
Joey turned around and shocked the hell out of me. “Fuck you bitch.” He said as he extended his middle finger then walked back towards the Hummer.
I closed the door on the car. “Get her out of here.”
Joey was sitting there with his arms around Bobby when I got to the Hummer. “Son, what are your parent’s names?”
“Lois and Henry.” He said. “Why do you need that Ace?”
“So they can be booked into the jail.” I answered. “I’ll also need your brother’s name.”
Joey looked calmly at me. “Lois and Henry are my parent’s names and my brother was named Brian.”
“Thanks son.” I said rubbing his knee. “Now, I don’t want you or Bobby worrying about anything. You’ll have a place to live.”
“Where are we going now?” Bobby asked.
I smiled. “You’ll be staying with me and Bennie tonight.”
“What, at the White House?” Bobby almost screamed. “Where will we sleep?”
“Well, I could let you sleep on the roof.” I said as Bennie broke into a fit of laughter.
Bobby started giggling as I closed the door then went around to the driver’s side and got in then it was onto the residence.
I proceeded through the gate then parked in my usual spot. Joey saw the Charger and he hurried over to look at it. I took out my keys and unlocked the door with the remote. He heard the door unlock so he opened the door and sat inside. “Wow Ace, this car is so cool.”
Bennie was standing beside him. “Yeah buddy, I’d love one of those for my birthday.”
Joey looked up at him. “Yeah right dude. I can see you getting one of them.”
He smiled, “Well, I can dream, can’t I?”
I had to check with Ben but I made a mental note of Bennie’s wish. We started inside when I saw Joey wince. “What’s wrong buddy?” I asked as I pushed the button calling for the elevator.
“My ribs are really sore.”
When we stepped off, I took out my cell phone and called Dr. Phillips. When he came over he took me aside. “Ace, I’m going to need to get some films of his chest.”
I thought for a moment. “Do you suspect a broken rib?”
He nodded. “Yes I do and I don’t need one puncturing a lung.”
“OK, I’ll tell him.” I said.
Joey wasn’t scared but Bobby didn’t want to see his boyfriend to have to leave him. “Where is he going Ace?”
“Relax son, he’ll be back.” Dr. Phillips needs to see if Joey has any broken ribs.”
Bobby relaxed when he heard that Joey was being looked after. I saw the clock and realized it was time to meet someone else. I took Bobby by the hand and we headed to the living room. Bobby’s head was swimming as he looked at everything. I saw Ben sitting on the sofa so we came in. “Good evening Ace, and who is this young man.”
Joey started shaking when he met Ben. “Sir, this is Bobby. Bobby, this is…”
“T…the P…President of the United States.”
I wrapped my arm around his shoulders and drew him close to me. “Relax Bobby.”
“T…that’s easy for you to say.” He stuttered.
Ben let loose with one of his belly laughs. “He’s right Bobby, I don’t bite.”
Bennie came into the room and immediately gave Ben a hug. “Bobby, have you met my dad yet?”
“Yeah…yes.” Bobby stuttered.”
“He’s really cool, just like your Dad.” Bennie said giving Ben a kiss on the cheek. “Come on guys, we need to get cleaned up before Gloria serves dinner.”
The boys scampered down the hall then I quickly followed so I could get cleaned up. I went into my room and washed my face and hands then changed my clothes. Once I was dressed, I went to Bennie’s room. I saw the boys sitting on the bed chatting away. Joey saw me standing there. “Ace, where are we going to sleep?”
I hadn’t seen Joey return so motioned for them to follow me then I led them across the hall to my room. “You two can sleep in here. Now, there are a few ground rules. That computer sitting there is off limits, it’s my work computer.”
“Do you have the internet here?”
“Yep,” I replied smiling. “Bennie will help you get connected.”
“Thanks Ace, now where will you sleep? Bobby asked.
Joey looked at his boyfriend then up at me smiling. “I bet I know.”
“Where,” Bobby asked
“Across the hall with Bennie,” Joey answered.
Bobby wrapped his arms around me. “Man, I wish I had that every night.”
Joey snuggled up to Bobby. “Don’t worry love, you’ll be having me all the time real soon.”
The boys changed their clothes then joined us in the living room until dinner was served. Bennie sat down beside me and snuggled then Joey and Bobby decided to do the same thing. Ben looked at the two love birds and smiled. “How are you doing back at school Bobby?”
Bobby started getting scared so Joey wrapped his arms tighter around his lover as Bennie moved over and sat beside Bobby. “Dad, some jerk tripped Bobby then attacked the coach. He tried to hit me but I sent him flying into the wall.”
“Bobby, don’t let ignorant people push your buttons.” Ben said walking over and kneeling in front of him. “They’re not worth the sweat on your forehead.”
“Thanks Mr. President.” Bobby said softly.
Ben patted his knee. “When we’re here, just call me Ben.”
Bobby smiled. “Thanks Ben.”
Over at Adam’s office, he was shutting down his computer getting ready to leave the office when his phone rang. “Yes Judy.”
“Mr. Dechert is here to see you Mr. Graham.” She said.
Adam sighed. “Very well, show him back.”
A few minutes later the door opened. “Sorry to pop in so late Adam but…” Franklin Dechert said opening his briefcase.
“What is it Franklin?” Adam asked as he closed his briefcase.
Franklin pulled out a piece of paper, “My motion to exclude the credit card receipt.”
“You’re too late.” Adam replied. “Judge Wheeler has already ruled on that.”
“How is that possible?” Franklin fired back.
“Marcus did that himself during the arraignment.”
Dechert reached into his briefcase and pulled out another paper, “My motion to exclude everything as a result of the search warrant. There was no probable cause for that judge to issue it.”
“You’re really wearing blinders, aren’t you?” Adam fired back.
“I’m trying to represent my client to the best of my ability.”
“We connected all the dots before Judge Stein.” Adam said losing his patience.
“What dots were those?” Franklin said.
“I don’t have to lay my case out before you.”
Franklin slammed the lid down on his briefcase. “Did you ever hear of discovery?”
Adam sat down then glared at Dechert. “You really don’t know what Cole's been up to, are you?”
“I don’t follow.”
“Do you know where Cole got his big fat retainer?”
“What retainer?” Dechert asked. “We were taking Peterson’s case pro bono.”
“Did Cole know this?”
“Of course he did,” Dechert replied.
“Then you have a big problem.” Adam said. “If I play my cards right, I’ll be going through your firm’s books with a microscope.”
“Why?”
Adam smiled. “Because the money Cole got came from the offshore bank account.”
Franklin sat down then sighed. “Adam, the firm can’t continue to represent Cole. I had no idea Cole received any money from Harold Peterson. I’ll be filing a motion to step aside as his attorney.”
Adam sighed. “Judge Wheeler isn’t going to be too happy about this but I can’t blame you. You won’t get any objections from this office. Now you know why we had probable cause to search Cole’s bank records.”
“Yeah I do,” Dechert sighed. “I’ll see you in court first thing Monday morning.”
Dechert left Adam’s office then he was finally able to head home.
Back at the residence, Gloria called us for dinner. The chef rolled a cart into the dining room and stopped by Ben then lifted the cover. “Medium rare Mr. President?”
I got a whiff of the prime rib then my mouth started watering. Ben nodded his head. “Yes, thank you Marcel.”
Marcel placed his knife on the meat looking for Ben’s approval. Ben nodded his head the held out his plate. Marcel went around to Bennie next the stopped by me. “Let’s not forget our guests.”
Marcel quickly went over and asked Joey how he liked his meat. “Medium if you have some, otherwise Medium rare is fine.”
Marcel placed his knife on the meat. “A little larger if that’s alright.” Joey said.
I looked at the teen. “As long as you eat everything son. There will be more to come.” I said as Joey nodded his head to Marcel.
He held his plate out then Marcel moved over to Bobby. He got a piece like Joey’s then Gloria came in with potatoes and vegetables.
When we filled our plates, everyone dug in. Bobby and Joey cleaned their plates and went back for more potatoes and veggies. When dinner was done, Gloria came in with desert. She stopped by Ben and lifted the cover on the tray. “Would you care for cheesecake or strawberry shortcake?”
Ben got a piece of cheesecake while I indulged on the strawberry shortcake.
The boys had the cheesecake then Bobby let out a small burp. “Excuse me,” He said giggling.
Bennie giggled also. “In Japan, that’s high praise for the chef. It means you enjoyed the meal.”
“I did very much.” Bobby said as he put another piece of cheesecake into his mouth then chewed and swallowed it. “Do you eat this well every night?”
Ben set his fork on his plate. “Gloria feeds us very well.”
“She’s a great cook.” Joey said smiling.
“Why thank you Señor Joey.” Gloria said as she came around and picked up everyone’s plates and brought them out to the kitchen.
After dinner we retired to Bennie’s room. “Joey, do you and Bobby want to get a shower?” Bennie asked as he started getting comfortable.
“Sure, Joey said as he went over and took Bobby by the hand.
I led the boys over to my room then got some clean towels and set them on the vanity. “Here you go guys.” I said as Joey started stripping. “How are you feeling?”
“Thanks Ace,” Joey answered as he gave me a hug. “I’m sore but there is nothing broken. The doctor said I’m pretty bruised and I’ll be sore for a few days but otherwise, I’ll be fine. He gave me some ibuprofen and it’s working.”
“I’m glad nothing is broken.” I said then I returned to Bennie’s room and sat down on the bed.
Bennie started stripping. “Shower, my love?” Bennie asked as he shook his butt at me.
I hadn’t had one since yesterday so I needed one. I got up and dug out some clean undies then quickly stripped and followed him into the bathroom. Bennie was shaking his tail at me as he started the water. “Are you trying to tell me something?”
He stood up and turned around sporting a massive boner. “Would I do that baby?”
I reached down and stroked his dick. “Every chance you get.” I said then gently smacked him on his tail.
Across the hall, Joey and Bobby were in the shower locked in a passionate embrace searching each other’s oral cavities. Joey reached down and caressed his boyfriend’s ass then reached around and found his dick. Bobby gasped. “Joey, are you sure? We’re not home.”
Joey kissed his lover. “Relax baby, I’d bet Bennie is having fun with Ace in their shower.”
“They live here.” Bobby retorted.
“So, they know we’re boyfriends too.” Joey fired back and continued his ministrations on Bobby’s dick.
Since Bobby had been in the hospital he hadn’t had the opportunity to have any sort of sexual release so Joey’s caressing was bringing him to the brink faster than he really wanted. Bobby started to shake then he exploded over Joey’s hand. “Shit baby, I’m cumming.”
Joey continued to milk his lover’s dick then he cleaned his load off of his hand. He kissed Bobby sharing his lover’s juice then smiled. “How do you feel now?”
Bobby was breathing hard as Joey held onto him. “God that felt great.”
Joey washed his boyfriend then Bobby returned the favor when he started washing Joey. Joey’s dick was standing tall so Bobby reached down and started stroking him. It had been several days since Joey popped a nut so his staying power was about that of Bobby’s. Joey felt his balls start to churn then his load shot out of his dick covering his chest and Bobby’s hand. “Ungh baby, I’ve missed your hand on me.”
Bobby kissed his lover then washed his body. Once that was done, they got out and dried off. After they got dressed, they came across the hall. Joey came over to the bed and sat down when I saw him wince. “What’s wrong man, are you sore again?”
He turned red. “Well, let’s say I’ve used better judgment in my time.”
“Did you have a little fun in the shower?”
Joey nodded. “Yeah we did and it felt so good at the time I didn’t stop but after I came, I realized it was a mistake.”
I knew it was too soon to let Joey have any more ibuprofen so I gave him a couple of Tylenol. We decided to spend the night relaxing watching television.
Before bed, Joey took his ibuprofen then he and Bobby went over to my room to get some sleep. I gave them a hug and kiss then joined Bennie. It didn’t take me long to fall asleep as the next thing I felt was Bennie easing out of bed to use the bathroom. I closed my eyes then Bennie shook me gently. “Come on sleepy head, it’s almost time for breakfast.”
I rolled over and looked at the clock. I’m glad it was Saturday because it meant I really didn’t have much to do. I got up while Bennie went over and checked on Bobby and Joey. Our two guests were awake and quietly watching television. Bennie told them breakfast would be served in a few minutes so the boys got washed up then we met in the dining room. Ben was already in there having some coffee. “Morning boys, did you sleep well last night?”
Joey looked a little better. “Yes Sir, we both slept like logs.”
“How are your ribs Joey?” I asked.
“A little sore but not too bad.” He said as I got up and got his ibuprofen.
I gave him two tablets and he took them with his juice. After breakfast, Bennie and his guests played video games. I was taking it easy when my cell rang. “Mason.”
“Agent Mason, there are several officers from Metro PD here.”
“What do they want?” I asked.
“You Sir, they say they have a warrant for your arrest.”
“What?” I almost shouted.
“That’s what they said.”
“I want you to look at the warrant and make sure it’s legitimate, then call me back.”
I immediately called Adam. “Adam, I need you man. Metro PD is here supposedly with a warrant for my arrest.”
“For what?”
“When I shot Brian Livingston. It was self defense. He came out with a shotgun.”
“OK, calm down Ace. Wasn’t Lt. Brinkman there too?”
“Yeah.” I said then I heard my other line beep.
“I know where to meet you.” Adam said then I ended my call with him. “Mason.”
“Ace, it’s Bob. I’m sorry buddy.”
“Yeah, I am too. You’re really going to take me or allow me to appear before the judge on my own.”
“Come to the gate please and we can talk.” Bob said.
“Alright, I’m on my way up.” I said then ended the call.
I went over and told Ben and the boys I had to step out for a few minutes but didn’t go into details. I didn’t want to alarm the boys. While I was on my way to the gate I called Evelyn and told her what was going on. No sooner had I hung up and got out, there were a bevy of uniformed division patrol cars at the gate. “What’s going on Agent Mason? The director said you might need our assistance.”
“Look, just stay here and don’t do anything.” I said as I walked up to the fence. “What’s going on Bob? I thought your report ruled…”
“Relax Ace, it was.” Bob said. “We’re
supposed to bring you to the DC Circuit court for arraignment.”
“What?” I shouted. “Who is the idiot that can’t read a police report?”
“He’s some wet behind the ears new ADA and I guess he’s trying to make a name for himself.”
“Yeah, at my expense.” I fired back.
“Look, I’m going to be there with you and tell the judge everything.”
“Good,” I said. “I’ve also called Adam Graham and he’s on his way to the courthouse too. I didn’t think you all had sessions on Saturday?”
“Normally they don’t but this ADA is a real piece of work.”
“Can I drive myself?” I asked.
Bob thought for a moment. “Since you are a federal law enforcement officer, I’ll let you but I’ll need to ride with you. I have your sidearm in my vehicle but I can’t give it to you right now.
We walked towards my car then got in. went I started it up, the Metro officers drew down on it. Bob stepped out and gave them all a firm look. “If any of you interfere, you’ll be walking a beat for the rest of your career.”
They backed down then the officer opened the gate. “To the courthouse?”
Bob nodded his head then we took off. Since it was Saturday, the streets weren’t that crowded so it only took about 15 minutes to get there. I found a place to park then saw Adam standing outside.
We walked up the steps then I gave Adam a brief hug. “Thanks for being here buddy. I never thought I’d be on this end of things.”
“Don’t worry, after today you won’t be. Now when we get inside, you let me do the talking.”
“Alright buddy.” I said letting Adam handle my fate.
We started walking towards the courtroom when some baby faced person came out. “Why isn’t this man in shackles?”
Bob went over to him. “He’s a federal law enforcement officer, he’s not going anywhere.”
“I said cuff him.”
Bob looked at the kid and said “Shove it, we shouldn’t even be here to begin with and when the judge hears everything, you’ll be losing a few pounds of your ass.”
“Oh yeah,” He said. “We’ll see.”
When we walked in, I couldn’t believe my eyes. There sitting in the courtroom were Joey’s parents.
I looked at Bob. “What’s going on here?”
“I don’t know but I’ll find out.”
“If I’d have known they were going to be here, I’d have had Joey here too.”
Bob made a few phone calls then sat down beside me. “It seems this ADA is taking their side that you murdered their son.”
“What about the felony charges against them?” I asked
“It seems he’s not pressing them.”
Adam heard this. “He isn’t?” He said as Bob shook his head. “Well then the Federal Government will.”
Just then a door opened and a middle aged woman came out. “All rise, this court is now in session, Judge Janice Lewis presiding.”
“Be seated,” She said. “What case has us here on a Saturday?”
The bailiff handed her a file and she looked at it. “Is this right? A Secret Service Agent is charged with murder?”
The kid shot up. “Yes Your Honor, Deputy District Attorney Jim Grainger representing the District.”
Adam stood up. “Assistant US Attorney Adam Graham representing Special Agent Rich Mason.”
The judge was glaring at the ADA. “I want to know the circumstances behind this shooting.”
Just then a woman shot up and started shouting. “That cop shot my boy, he murdered my baby.”
< BANG, BANG, BANG >
The Judge had banged her gavel and she wasn’t happy. “Ma’am sit down and remain silent or I’ll have you removed.” The judge said firmly. “Is the arresting officer here?”
Bob stood. “Yes Your Honor, I’m Lt. Brinkman, I was on scene and what I’d like to know is why two prisoners I arrested are here and not in cuffs.”
The ADA stood. “This office feels there is insufficient probable cause to prosecute these two.”
“What?” Bob almost shouted. “Your Honor, these two were arrested and charged with some major felonies.”
I’ll hear that in a minute.” Judge Lewis said. “Right now, I’d like to know the circumstances behind the shooting.”
“That shooting was in self defense,” Bob said. “The victim was pointing a shotgun at Agent Mason and refused to drop it when so ordered.”
“Is that true, Mr. Grainger.”
“That is the report from Lt. Brinkman but I’ve spoken to the parents at length and we feel that wasn’t the case.”
“Mr. Grainger, I find it very hard to believe that a Federal Officer would just shoot someone for no reason.” Judge Lewis said as the woman stood. “Ma’am did your son have a shotgun in his hands as has been alleged?
She stood there and didn’t answer. “Mr. Grainger, I suggest your witness answers my questions.”
She raised her head. “No, he didn’t”
“THAT’S A LIE,” A voice shouted from the back of the courtroom.
“Young man, how dare you interrupt this court?” Judge Lewis said.
I turned around and there was Evelyn along with Joey. “Your Honor, that is the young man who was being beaten by his parents.” Bob said.
“Is this true?” The judge asked.
“Yes Ma’am and I’m sorry for shouting like that.”
“The court accepts your apology. Now, were you there when all this was going on?”
“Yes Ma’am.” Joey said glaring at his mother.
“Can you tell us what happened?”
“I sure will.” Joey said.
The judge motioned him to come forward then the Bailiff swore him in. Judge Lewis looked at Joey. “Alright now son, tell us what happened.”
“Well Ma’am, when I got home from school, my father yanked me into the house by the hair of my head then started beating the crap out of me.”
“Why did he do that?”
“I don’t know unless he found out I’m gay and have a boyfriend. He hates gay people.”
“That’s right you fucking faggot. No kid of mine is a fudge packing queer. I should have kicked your balls up to your throat.”
< BANG, BANG, BANG >
“Mr. Grainger, control them or my bailiff will. Sir, that will cost you $1,000 and 10 days in jail for contempt of court. One more outburst will cost you $5,000 and double the jail time.
“Fag loving bitch.” He mumbled softly so it couldn’t be heard but it was heard by the bailiff.
The bailiff went over to him and dragged him over the rail slamming him onto the floor and putting him in cuffs. “Bailiff, what’s the meaning of this?”
He stood the man up. “Tell the court what you just said.”
“Fuck you!” He spat as he broke loose and rand handcuffed towards Joey who quickly jumped onto the bench.
Bob grabbed his taser and fired. The man fell to the floor and started shaking from the electricity. The woman tried to jump the rail so I quickly grabbed her. “Hand me your cuffs Bob.” I said.
“Order in the court.” Judge Lewis shouted as I cuffed the woman then assisted Bob cuffing that loud mouth.
Joey got so scared when his father came after him he landed in the judge’s lap and had a death grip around her neck and was crying out of control.
Judge Lewis caressed his hair and talked softly to him. It took ten minutes to get Joey calmed down. When he realized where he was, he turned a deep shade of red. “I’m sorry Judge, I thought he was gonna get me again.”
“It’s alright Joey and I’m so sorry that happened to you.” Judge Lewis said smiling at the teen. “Can you tell us what happened then?”
Joey stood up and retook his place in the witness chair. “He continued hitting me then I fell onto the floor. Them dear Mother got into it. She started kicking me. Then the front door got kicked open and Ace was standing there.”
“What did he say, do you remember?”
Joey nodded. “He shouted Federal officer, everyone freeze.”
“What happened next?” The Judge asked.
“That’s when Brian came out holding Dad’s shotgun. How or where he found it, I don’t know but Ace told him to drop it several times.”
“Ace?” The judge asked.
“Oh, that’s Agent Mason. That’s his nickname.”
“I see, please continue.”
Brian didn’t put it down. Instead he pointed it at Bennie.”
“Bennie?” Judge Lewis asked.
“Yes Ma’am, that’s Bennie Jacobs.”
“The President’s son?”
“Yes Ma’am. When Ace saw that he had no choice but to defend Bennie. He’s Bennie’s bodyguard.”
“How many times did Agent Mason tell your brother to drop the gun?”
“I dunno, several times, I think.”
Judge Lewis looked at Lois Livingston. “Did you kick your son?” She asked as she stood there and said nothing. “A wise decision. Mr. Grainger, I’m quashing your arrest warrant and ruling the shooting justifiable. As to why you’re not prosecuting these two for child abuse, I’ll never know since I've seen more than enough here today to charge them with child abuse.”
“As I said before, there isn’t sufficient evidence to go forward.”
Joey heard this then pulled off his shirt and stood on the chair in the witness box. “No evidence? Look at me, I’m black and blue.”
Adam stood. “Your Honor, there is sufficient evidence for the US for file charges as a hate crime, if the ADA still refuses.”
“We do.” He said smugly.
Judge Lewis was fuming. “Very well. Agent Mason, you’re free to go. Mr. Graham, you’re free to file Federal hate crime charges against these two and Mr. Grainger, I’ll see you in chambers NOW! Court is adjourned.”
“Your Honor, before you leave.” Adam said quickly
Judge Lewis stopped then looked at Adam. “Yes Mr. Graham.”
“The government asks that the parental rights of Lois and Henry Livingston be terminated until such time as the charges against them have been litigated. We ask the Lt. Robert Brinkman be given temporary custody of the minor child, Joey Livingston.”
The judge looked at Bob. “Sir, do you have enough room in your home to care for him?”
“Yes Your Honor, we have a three bedroom home and a son so there is a bedroom for Joey.”
“Very well Mr. Graham. It is the order of this court that temporary custody of Joey Livingston be awarded to Robert Brinkman.”
She banged her gavel then left the bench for her chambers. I went over to the two parents. “On your feet, you’re under arrest.”
Lois shot her mouth off. “Like hell, you heard the ADA.”
Adam came over to us and looked at the woman. “Yes I did, but I’m filing federal hate crimes against you and you will stand trial for those.”
They were taken into custody and transported to jail. Then I turned around and looked at Evelyn. “Good timing there.”
“It’s a good thing Adam called then I called Bennie. He told me what happened so I got Joey and brought him here.”
“Thanks, without him, I think it would have been tough to persuade the judge Joey had really been the victim.
Mr. Grainger was still standing there. “You think you’re so smart.”
I looked at him. “Aren’t you supposed to be with Judge Lewis?”
“I’m the ADA and I’ll do as I want.” He said. “I believed them.”
“And I’m an Assistant United States Attorney and I know what prosecutorial misconduct is and I’ll be filing charges against you with the District Bar Association. So even after you saw the boy?” Adam asked.
“What makes you think they did it?”
“I know better.” I said starting to lose my cool.
“Well, parents can discipline children as they see fit.”
That tore it and I got into the jerks face. “Discipline is one thing but that was a beating.”
“I didn’t see anything all that bad.” He said then we heard a voice.
“Mr. Grainger, I said in my chambers and I mean NOW!”
I watched as he slowly walked over to the door, “Oh to be a fly on the wall.” Adam said.
“Can we get out of here?” I heard Joey ask Bob.
We left the courtroom and headed for the parking lot. Bob saw his vehicle in the lot that one of his officers must have dropped off for him. Bob got his keys out of his pocket then went into the glove box. “Ace, this is yours.”
He handed me my gun then we headed back to the residence. “Adam, fry their asses.”
“I’ll do my best Ace but I’ll probably have to turn this over to another prosecutor.”
I knew he had his hands full with the conspiracy trial coming up. “I know buddy, you have your hands full. Call me if you need anything.”
Adam waved as I got into my car then we all returned to the residence. When we arrived, Bobby and Bennie were outside with Tonka. Bennie was standing where I park my car and as soon as I stepped out, he hugged me. “Where’s Joey.”
“He’s with his new dad.” I said.
Bob pulled in then parked. Bobby ran over and hugged Joey. “What happened, tell me everything.” Bobby said, firing a load of questions.
Bob walked around and put his arm on his son’s shoulder. “Relax son, everything is OK now. Why don’t you and your brother go and get your things? I’d like you at home with me.”
Bobby started to head inside then it hit him what his dad had said. “Brother?”
Joey took his boyfriend’s hand. “Your dad has temporary custody of me but after my parents wind up in jail, I’d love to be your brother forever.”
“Let’s get our things.” Bobby said giving Joey a quick hug. “We can talk about that when we get home.”
Everyone headed to the residence then we talked for a few minutes before Bob wanted to get the boys home. After everyone left Evelyn looked at me. “Why didn’t you tell me about the shooting?”
“I gave Bob Brinkman my statement then did a report and filed it. How come you didn’t see it?”
She closed her mouth. “Uh, I haven’t checked my computer today.”
I shook my head. “I’m not a rookie Evelyn. Bob said that they were ruling it as a justifiable shooting. That kid ADA decided to play own games but I have a feeling, he’s going to need a new ass and maybe even a new job.”
“I’m not a lawyer,” Evelyn said. “But from all I’ve heard, I can’t believe he did such a shoddy job of investigating the case before charging you.”
“That’s just it Evelyn, he did nothing.” I started. “You heard what he said in court that parents have the right to raise and discipline their kids how they want too. I bet he’s homophobic too which would account for why he never bothered to talk to Joey.”
“Well, that’s all behind us now. You just need to concentrate on the upcoming conspiracy trial.”
She was right. Adam was going to be super busy while my life seemed to get back to a little bit of normality. Evelyn stayed for dinner then Bennie and I got a shower and spent the night relaxing.
The next afternoon, Bennie was studying while I was working on the conspiracy case. I was printing out papers and putting them together, when I heard Bennie come in. “Ace, can I ask you something?”
“Sure baby.” I said. “This has to be important, you called me Ace.”
He smiled at me then looked down for a moment. “Well, it is.”
I went over and sat on the bed and patted a place beside me. “I’m all ears.”
Bennie came over and sat beside me. “I have an idea about something. I’ve talked to Bobby’s dad already and he seems cool with it so how would you feel about maybe teaching some of the kids some self defense?”
I thought for a moment. “It seems you’ve thought this through, haven’t you?”
Bennie smiled at me. “I think so.”
“So who would be teaching this?” I asked
“Well, you and maybe me.”
“OK, now where? Were you thinking of opening a studio or something like that?”
Bennie shook his head. “Oh no baby, nothing like that. I was thinking more along the line of maybe an hour during school a couple days a week.”
“Well, you have to sell this to Mr. Robinson and to the coach before anything can happen.”
“Yeah, I know.” Bennie said then handed me a paper.
I read it over then smiled at him. “You did think this through love. But there is one think I don’t think we should get too much involved in and that’s throwing punches. We want this to be defensive and then only as a last resort.”
Bennie smiled. “Yeah, if they can get them off of their feet, maybe they’ll realize not to mess with them anymore.”
“I know, that is in an ideal situation.”
Bennie got a cheeky look on his face. “Well, a quick stomp on the balls works if they don’t want to take the hint.”
I had to laugh. “In a street fight, all is fair because an opponent won’t follow any rules.”
“Yeah, I’ve seen that too. I remember when you brought Nate in. He threw dirt in your face.”
“Then you played field goal kicker.” I said causing Bennie to laugh.
“Hey, he cheated so I leveled the field again.”
I put my arms around him and held him for a while. Things had been so hectic; this was the one thing I missed then most. Bennie was leaning against me and had dozed to sleep. My back was getting stiff sitting without any support so I had no choice but to move him.
He scooted towards the head of the bed and stayed there so I went back to work on my papers.
After dinner, I wanted some quiet time with my lover so we just got into bed and watched the TV. We had gotten into watching a show when my cell rang. “Ace, it’s Adam.”
“What’s up buddy?” I asked as I got up and went over to my room.
“I just learned that Samuel Grayson is being arraigned tomorrow but with what we have on him, I don’t think we can keep him in jail without bond.”
I thought for a moment then had a brainstorm. “Well, try this on counselor, how about charging him with conspiracy to assassinate the president?”
“Are you serious?” Adam asked. “Conspiracy?”
“Very my friend.” I said. “One hand doesn’t have to know what the other is doing in order to prove the charge. He’s also being charged with obstruction of justice when he tried to get Kahliel deported. Isn’t that enough to hold him without bail?”
“I’ll do some research and see what I can find out.”
“Oh, before you go, any word on the jury? They’ve been out now for several days.”
“I’ll talk with Judge Matthews.” Adam said then we ended the call.
I returned to Bennie and I saw his hand under the covers. His eyes were closed so I tried to slip into bed without him feeling me but I wasn’t successful. He turned his head and wiggled his eyebrows at me and I knew what was on his mind.
He kicked the covers down then I took the lead and dove onto my lover’s dick. Bennie wasn’t one not to want to give pleasure so he turned around and we got into a 69. Bennie started sucking on me while I was pleasing him and soon, we fired huge loads down our respective lover’s throats.
It took us a few minutes to come down off our orgasmic high then we cleaned up and cuddled together then drifted off to sleep.
To be continued...
