Chapter 26
Call Me Sir

As Doctor Gordon and Doctor Campbell were leaving, Bill looked at Dr. Jaime Campbell, "I'll make sure the guys get to your office tomorrow, so you can get samples you need."

Mrs. Archer was coming up the sidewalk as the two doctors were leaving, "Who were those guys?  I don't think I've met them before."

Bill was so cool, "Mom, they were the boys' urologist and pediatrician."

Mrs. Archer scowled, "Why were the boys' urologist and pediatrician making a house call?  I'm beginning to smell a rat. You'd better come clean, or I'll go ask the boys.  I don't think they know how to lie."

Bill and I were completely honest with his Mother.  She said nothing until I had stopped, "Guys, I already knew that David was having wet dreams.  I washed too many of Bill's underwear when he was younger to not be able to detect the signs.  I'm glad that you had the boys checked and I applaud you for being able to talk to them about that subject.  That was something that Bill's Father and I never did with Bill, until it was too late."

"Guys, I need to go to bed, tomorrow is another busy day."  She hugged and kissed both of us before she started up the stairs.

Bill and I made sure the house was secure and made our way up the stairs.  We checked in Denny and Danny's room and they were both sound asleep.  When we got to David and Darrin's room, they were both reading.  "Guys, you need to go to sleep.  You won't be able to get up for school in the morning."

Darrin looked at us, "Dads, why do we have to go to Doctor Campbell's office so he can check our pee?"

I sat down beside Darrin, "When I have a physical, I have to pee in a cup so the doctor can make sure that my body functions are working properly and that there are no traces of blood or any foreign substances in my urine.  It's probably the easiest test that a doctor can ask you to do.  All you have to do is to go to the bathroom by yourself and pee into a cup.  If the cup is full then you finish in the toilet.  You put the cup where the nurse tells you to and you're done."

Both boys let out a sigh of relief, "Phew!"

David grinned, "I thought it was going to be like what Doctor Gordon had me do.  That was so embarrassing."

Bill answered, "Nope, it's just going to be you, the toilet and the cup."

Bill and I hugged the two boys and went to our room.  After we took a shower and were in bed, naked of course, since it was a Monday. I hugged Bill, "Were we ever that innocent?"

I should have guessed that I was in trouble when Bill propped himself up on his elbows and had a glint in his eye, "What do you mean were we ever that innocent?  I still am."

He started to manipulate my penis, "What do you do with this little thing?  Doesn't it get in the way when you go to the bathroom?  Why is it getting bigger?  Are you inflating it with air or something?  Aren't you afraid it going to burst when it gets so hard?  What's it taste like anyway?  What this this little hole on top for?  I guess I need to check it for myself."

Bill must have liked the way it tasted because he was sure checking every inch of it.  I decided that I had better check to see what his little thing, that was not so little, tasted like.  I maneuvered so I could get a sample of Bill's wares.  I liked what I found and could fully appreciated why Bill seemed to be enjoying what he was doing, so much.

After the excitement had passed, I turned around and looked at him, "Did we lose our innocence yet?"
He shook his head no, "Nope, we'll have to take care of the rest another time.  You wore me out."

After a quick trip to the bathroom, we cuddled, and the next thing I remember was being awakened by Danny, "Dads, I think you overslept.  We're getting ready to go to school.  Daddy Bill, when are you going to take us to Doctor Campbell's office?"

Bill sat up on his elbows.  Fortunately we had a sheet over us.  "Danny, tell the guys that I'll pick all of you and Kent up at school after you're dismissed for the day.  Tell them to look for the van."

Danny turned to leave, "Bye Dads, see you later."

It was a very busy day at work and the last client had just left for the day when Linda stuck her head in the door, "Les, Dr. Roy Anderson is on the line."

I had a sinking feeling.  'Oh no, something has happened to Darrin.'

I picked up the phone with trepidation, "Hi Roy, is there a problem?"

"Not exactly.  I have a favor to ask of you.  Would you be willing to feed Kent and have him spend the night at your house?"

"No problem, Roy.  Is Shay ill?"

"No, I want to take Shay out to dinner, a show and dancing.  I plan to propose to her."

I started to laugh, "Man, you don't waste any time, do you?  Congratulations."

He had the perfect comeback, "Well, you and Bill didn't waste any time either, did you?  Kent is already at your house.  I'll stop by and talk to him.  I've already checked with Mrs. Archer and she had no problem with him staying, but she recommended that I call you first, since she didn't know what your plans were.  Talk to you later."

After I hung up, I started to laugh, 'Score one for Darrin.'
When I arrived home, Bill and Mom Archer were in the kitchen.   Bill hugged me.  "It was a kick and a half taking the boys to Doctor Campbell's office today.  His nurse, Dieter, was lying in wait for the boys.  Jamie had obviously briefed him on what happened last night."

"When Dieter came into the waiting area, he stopped in front of us and immediately started, 'Okay men, line up by age.  Oldest first.  There is to be absolutely no talking unless I speak to you.  You will call me sir.'"

"He marched the boys down the hall to the scales. 'Get those shoes off and stand up straight.'  He turned to David, 'Get on the scales.  What's your name?'"

"I think David realized that Dieter was playing mind games with the boys.  He answered very timidly almost in a hush, 'David Phillips, sir'.  Dieter wrote the information on the paper and looked up, 'Age?' David mumbled, 'Eleven, sir.'  Dieter recorded David's weight and height."

"Dieter got another form and pointed to Darrin, 'Get on the scales immediately.'  Darrin must have realized that Dieter was putting on an act, because his response was priceless. 'If you say so, sir.'  I don't think that Dieter was ready for the response.  Darrin volunteered, 'Sir, so you don't lose your voice, my name is Darrin Phillips and I'm nine years old.'"

"Dieter started to laugh, 'Thank you for being so considerate, Mr. Phillips.'  Dieter recorded the information and looked at Kent.  Kent saluted, 'Kent Dillon, age nine, present and accounted for, sir.'"

"Danny climbed on the scales, 'I ain't got one, sir, and I'm seven.'  Dieter looked up from his chart, 'Is that spelled with an "a" or  an "e"?'
Danny giggled, 'An "a", sir.'"

"Denny climbed on the scales, 'Me either, sir, and it's spelled with an "e".  And I'm also seven.'"

"After the weights and heights were recorded, Dieter took us into a large exam room and had the boys sit on the exam table.  He took their blood pressures and pulses and recorded them.   When that was completed, he had David follow him to a chair that the other four couldn't see and drew his blood.  He handed David a container with his name on it and gave him the instructions.  'Go into the bathroom across the hall and pee in the glass and when you finish, there is a little door.  Put your container in it and push the button beside the door so the technician can get your specimen.'"

"The five guys were very brave, and just as Denny was returning from leaving his specimen Dieter handed me the forms.  'Father Phillips, you will need …'"

"Denny interrupted Dieter, ' Mr. Dieter, this isn't our Dad.  This is our other Daddy, Father Bill Archer.  Our other Dad is still at work.'"

"Dieter got a funny look on his face; he was getting ready to speak when there was a knock on the door and Doctor Campbell came in, 'Hi, guys.  Did Dieter take good care of you?  As soon as the results are back, I'll have Dieter call your parents.'  He turned to me, 'Bill,  it was fun last night and yes, Darrin, we did brush our teeth when we got home.'"

"Darrin smiled at Doctor Campbell, 'You and Doctor Gordon can stop over any time you feel like it.  We're usually home.  Thanks for everything.'"

'Doctor Campbell left and Dieter continued, 'Sorry for the confusion  Father Archer.  Why don't you take the history forms home and the boys' parents, or in the case of the four D boys, their father can complete them and bring them back.  I guess I will need to speak with Jaime and make sure he gives me all the details next time, so I don't make a fool of myself.'"

"The five guys hugged Dieter as we were leaving and I swear he had tears in his eyes."

Our conversation was interrupted by Danny, "Hi Dads.  Grandma, we'll be finished in about twenty minutes.  See you later."

Mrs. Archer laughed, "The whirlwinds have struck again.  Why don't you two guys take Grandma Hattie's food to her so we can eat as soon as the boys get here, since Bill has to work tonight?"
Bill and I carried the baskets across the street.  We knew the drill.  We rang the door twice and went in.  Grandma Hattie was coming to meet us.  She started to chuckle, "I see they sent the big boys tonight.  Les, you need to talk to your boys.  They absolutely refuse to let me pay them for taking care of my lawn.  It is looking the best that it has since my husband died.  In fact this entire block is turning into a landscapers dream because of them."

She started toward the kitchen.  When we got there she pointed, "Please put the food on the counter between the stove and the refrigerator.  The things for you to take home are on the other side."

We emptied the food from the baskets and put the clean dishes in the basket to take home.  She hugged us and whispered, "Guys, just love your sons unconditionally.  They are beautiful creatures of God."

As we were walking across the street, Bill stopped, "I Think Grandma Hattie has just provided me with the subject of my message on Sunday.  How does the title 'They Are Beautiful Creatures of God' sound?"

As soon as we got inside the door, I hugged Bill, "Father Archer, the message will have a special meaning for me."

The boys were coming down the steps from washing up for dinner and as they passed us, they all said, "Hi Dads", including Kent.

I started to laugh, "I guess Roy didn't tell Kent that he was going to propose to Shay tonight."

Bill laughed, "Gees, the world keeps spinning faster and faster.  I guess Darrin's team gets another point."

"That's what I thought too."

Darrin came in, "Dads, dinner is ready."

I don't think anyone could ever say that dinner time around our table was a solemn affair.  The boys had us all laughing with their description of what had happened at the doctor's office  Dr. Jacobs commented, "I guess you showed Nurse Dieter who was in control."

Bill excused himself, "I'm sorry I have to run, but duty beckons.  I'll see you about nine o'clock."

The boys did the dishes and Dr. Jacobs and Mom Archer were going to play bridge in a tournament.

I was filling out the medical history forms for the boys when the guys came into the office where I was working and David spoke for the boys, "Dad, we're going to sit in the family room and do our homework.  When we're finished, can we watch a video?"

"Of course, I'll be here filling out your medical forms and doing some work that I brought home if you need me."

It was almost seven thirty when the doorbell rang.  David went to answer, "Dad, Granddad Witmer is here.  He would like to talk to you."

As I was walking to the living room, my mind was conjuring up all kinds of thoughts of what might have brought Mr. Witmer here unannounced at this hour of night.

"Hi Dad, I'm surprised to see you."

"Les, are there any other adults in the house?"

This was getting scary, "No, it's just the boys and me.  Bill is at the church and his mother is playing bridge."

"Les, do you have any friends that you could get to come and witness some documents, tonight.  I'll explain more after the boys have gone to bed."

"Dad, let me call George Degan, he's a lawyer and he has been very helpful in the past."

I made the call to George and Don Daniels answered, "Don, this is Les Phillips. is there anyway you and George could come over here tonight?"
"George is at the church for some meeting, but I can come, if you need me, Les."

"Great, we'll see you as soon as you can get here."

After I hung up, I motioned for Dad Witmer to follow me to the kitchen and the five guys were eating vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup.  Darrin looked up,  "Hi Granddad, we're just having a snack before we get ready for bed.  Watcha' doing here tonight?"

I wanted to know what the answer was too.  "Oh, your Dad and I have some business things that we need to take care of."

Darrin surprised me, "Granddad, how's our Grandmother?   I've been praying for her.  Please don't let her ever hurt any of us again."

Fortunately the doorbell rang and I went to see who was there.  It was Don Daniels as expected.  I took him to the kitchen and, of course, he knew the five boys from school.

David looked at him, "Mr. Daniels, are we in trouble or something?"

Don was laughing, "Not that I know of, guys.  Your Dad asked me to come and help with a problem."

That comment caused five heads to turn to me.  "Guys, Granddad Witmer and I have some things that need to be taken care of, and we needed someone to be a witness for us.  I asked Mr. Daniels to come so he could watch to see if everything was legal.  As soon as you finish your snack, it is time for you to go get ready for bed."

Darrin frowned, "We know when we've been told to disappear."

When we were in my office and I had shut the door, Don looked at me, "Les, you do have your hands full, don't you?  Those are five of the best behaved young men in our school.  Now why am I here?"

I turned and pointed to Mr. Witmer.

Mr. Witmer started, "Don, some of this is not going to make much sense to you.  Mrs. Witmer is confined to a rehabilitation correctional facility for what she did to Darrin.  She is probably going to be released in the near future, because she has been pushing all the right buttons.  I went to see her today and boy did she let me have it.  She informed me that she was going to take me for everything that I was worth, and she was going to make Les and the boys pay for causing her dear Lisa to die."

Both Don and I were sucking wind.  But Mr. Witmer wasn't finished, Virginia was very wealthy on her own.  I have no idea how much  money she has of her own.  I own a cabin on Lake Azure which is about twenty miles from here.  Les, give me five bucks, and it's yours.   Don can be the witness for the sale.  I have the documents right here.  I figure that you, Bill, Mrs. Archer and the boys could move there until the bitch drinks herself to death.  It's only twenty miles from here it's the only cabin on the lake.  Actually it's a lodge where twelve people can sleep very comfortably."

I pulled out my wallet, took out a five dollar bill and handed it to Mr. Witmer; the paperwork was signed and I now owned a cabin/lodge, somewhere in the mountains nearby.  I figured that was the last order of business.  Wrong.

Mr. Witmer handed me four checks, "Les, if my grandsons don't already have an investment account, set up for each of them, then do so.  This should help insure that they can go to college and enjoy themselves."

I looked at the certified checks and almost choked.  They were each for a $100,000 and were made out in the boys names.  Dad stood, "I gotta go, I have a date with a really hot stud tonight.  I just hope he is as hot as he seems."

I ushered him to the door, "Dad, thank you for everything."

When I returned to the living room, Don was laughing, "Les, I have to say this for you and your boys.   You certainly do have an interesting and charmed life.  I need to go, so I'm fresh the children at school tomorrow.  Talk to you later."

To be continued...

Editor's Notes:  I must admit that I was a bit taken by surprise, by that turn of events.  Let's see, now they have a cabin/lodge in the mountains, and there is plenty of money for each of the boys to attend college where ever they might want to go.  Somehow I suspect that no matter what kind of evil things that bitch has planned that the boys, their dads and their loving grandmother will do just fine.

I have a few interesting and considerably painful ideas of what should be done to that bitch of a woman who birthed the kids' birth mother.  They seem to have been a closely matched pair.  I will see if E Walk wants me to pass them along, and then see if he will want to use any of them. To give you an example, I was thinking of her possibly being in a bathtub and having a conveniently placed radio or hair dryer accidentally fall into the tub. I am afraid that the wiring in that old house they live in is not quite up to the standards of the national electrical code, and therefore it doesn't have a ground fault circuit interrupter on it. Such a shame, too, considering what a lovely person she is, and all. She shouldn't have climbed into the tub to sober up. It is too bad that she wasn't enjoying that music that was playing on the radio. She reached out to change it, and knocked the radio into the tub and the cord of the hair dryer got tangled in the radio's cord, and when the radio fell in the dryer got pulled in too, and bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzt.

Oh my goodness, I do get carried away.  Of course that is only a thought, and certainly I would never expect anything like that to actually happen to her, after all, we couldn't really be that lucky could we?

Sometimes I get a little excited when I think of evil things like that. Please forgive me for such wicked thoughts.

I'm ready and waiting for another chapter, please!!!!!!!!!!!
