Chapter 49
Dakota’s Revenge

"Can SOMEBODY help me here??"
Danny yelled up the stairs from the living room. Tyler ran out from his bedroom
and Cody ran out from his room. Upon meeting they stopped and looked at each
other.
"I'll go," Tyler said.
"Fine," Cody said turning around and going back into his bedroom.
"At least he spoke to me...," Tyler mused aloud. "What's up?" He asked coming
down the stairs. "Oh... yeah, I see you need some help," he said, grinning.
"Can you hold the 'Y' up on your end and I can centre it and then tape it down?"
Danny asked.
"You're really getting into all this shit, eh, Puckhead?" Tyler teased.
"It fills in the silence around here," Danny said.
"You're preachin' to the choir again, Father Armitage," Tyler joked.
"Stand back here and tell me how it looks?" Danny asked and Tyler got down from
the kitchen chair and stood beside Danny.
"Looks good!" Tyler said with his arms crossed. Danny picked up both chairs and
returned them to the dining room table.
"You noticed they spelled birthday wrong?" Tyler asked.
"Huh!" Danny said spinning around.
"Ha! Made ya look," Tyler teased.
"At least someone else has a sense of humour," Danny said.
"I better not piss you off or no one in this house will be speaking to me,"
Tyler joked.
"That's not even funny, Ty," Danny said. "We're friends for life."
Tyler put his arm around Danny's shoulder and leaned into him.
"I love you Danny," Tyler said. "Thanks for being here for me."
"Love you too, Puckhead. Anytime!" Danny replied.
At that moment they heard the door to the garage open and Echo and Chaos headed
downstairs to see Derek. Derek came up the stairs followed by Echo and Chaos. He
stopped before reaching the top step to see the 'Happy Birthday' banner strung
across the mantle.
"Fuck off!" Derek said in a whispered voice that no one else heard. He stopped
at the top of the stairs and looked at it again. He looked over to see Danny
grinning at him and Tyler working away in the kitchen.
"What do you think?" Danny asked proudly pointing to the banner.
"I'll bet it's in the garbage before the night is over?" Derek said coldly. He
dropped his backpack, removed his coat and hung it up, and then headed upstairs.
Danny returned to the kitchen shaking his head. He grabbed a stack of plates,
knives, forks, and napkins to put out on the table.
"Ty, do you want to push the table against the wall now?" Danny asked.
"Yeah, good idea. We can place the extra chairs around the room in pairs so
people can sit and talk if they want to!" Tyler said.
"I hate this time of the year...," Danny said.
"Why is that?" Tyler asked.
"Because it's only 6:00 p.m. and it's already dark outside." Danny said.
"Speaking of the time... I better get going and pickup the stuff at the Boyd
house and get the cake," Tyler said.
"What time is everyone coming?" Danny asked.
"I told them that between eight and nine was a good time to show up," Tyler
said.
"Is Brendan making the cake?" Danny asked.
"Yup. I saw it last night! Looks fucking awesome," Tyler said laughing.
"I've never seen a penis cake before!" Danny said.
"The balls on the one end of the cake are the best part of it. Brendan shaved
fine pieces of chocolate to give the effect of pubes growing," Tyler said, and
Danny started laughing.
"Thanks for all of your help Danny. I couldn't have made it through the last two
days without you," Tyler said.
"Is Derek speaking to you at all?" Danny asked.
"All the time. The only difference is that it is either a 'yes' or a 'no' and
his tone is very cold," Tyler said.
"What about Cody?" Danny asked.
"He just said the word 'fine' to me so I guess that's a start?" Tyler suggested
and grinned.
"I tried talking to him but he won't talk about it," Danny said.
"Cody is angry with me because I got mad at Chris and Kyle," Tyler said.
"Huh?" Danny asked.
"Chris and Kyle were having sex in our bedroom, make that Derek's bedroom,
without anyone's permission to be in there. Luke and Casey were running around
the house and Derek's parents were downstairs. Anything could have happened and
ended up causing a whole lot of shit," Tyler said.
"You mean Mom and Dad, not Derek's parents?" Danny said.
"It's a package deal Danny. Think about it. If Derek decides we are finished
then I won't be back to that house," Tyler said.
"That would kill them. Especially Luke and Casey!" Danny said.
"Daniel, think about Derek? It's his home. I will always be an outsider no
matter how much I am welcome there," Tyler said.
"That's not true! They adopted you!" Danny said.
"When you stayed the night at Cody's house weren't you a little more cautious
about what you said and did?" Tyler asked and Danny shrugged his shoulders.
"I guess...," Danny said.
"If Derek decides to break up with me and date someone else he won't want me
around. Life's just like that," Tyler said.
"What about Kyle?" Danny asked.
"I had my MSN on a couple of times. Kyle appeared online once and then he went
invisible immediately after he saw I was online," Tyler said.
"What about Chris?" Danny asked.
"He's fine but he has no choice but to side with Kyle. I messaged him with 'Hi'
and the message came back with 'Hey, got to go, laterz...' and then went
offline," Tyler said.
"You really do have the touch! This is kind of like the hockey orientation
dinner?" Danny teased.
"I better get out of here and let them relax a little," Tyler said looking up at
the ceiling as he put his coat on.
"How long will you be?" Danny asked.
"About 45 minutes? I just need to load a few boxes into the Jeep and then pick
up the cake from Brendan at Ciccone's," Tyler said. "I'll have my cell phone
with me if you need anything."
"Anything else you need done here?" Danny asked.
"Nope, just make sure the bathroom upstairs is clean... and I do mean clean!"
Tyler said and winked as he left out the front door.
Danny ran up the stairs to find Cody standing in the doorway talking with Derek
in his bedroom. They both stopped talking when the saw Danny.
"Did you finish cleaning the bathroom?" Danny asked.
"I said I would get to it!" Cody yelled and stormed past him and went back into
his bedroom.
Danny went into the washroom and removed some cleaners from inside the vanity
and began cleaning the bathroom. Just as he finished Cody appeared.
"It's all done now... you don't have to worry about it," Danny said.
"I said I would do it!" Cody yelled and stormed back into his room slamming the
door behind him. Danny put everything away and flushed the toilet of the
chemicals he had used to clean it.
Danny opened his bedroom door quietly and closed it behind him.
"I think we should have a calm talk, Cody?" Danny said.
Cody ignored Danny as he began getting changed for the party.
"I really don't know why you are angry with me but unless I've done something
that I need to apologize for then I want you to stop taking your anger out on
me?" Danny asked. Cody didn't respond.
"Don't treat me the way Dakota treated you!" Danny said and Cody lunged forward
at Danny with his right fist clenched and ready to strike him. Danny flinched
and took a step back but still held his ground. Cody stopped only two feet from
Danny and glared at him. Cody lowered his arm and unclenched his fist. He
grabbed his socks and belt and left the room slamming the door behind him. Danny
could hear the footsteps jogging up the stairs to the third floor.
Danny got dressed and tidied up the room. He opened the bedroom door and saw
Derek's bedroom door was closed. Danny tapped lightly on the door awaiting an
invitation in but it never came. He cautiously opened the door and saw Derek
lying down on his side facing the wall.
"Sorry to disturb you and it's none of my business but Cody just tried to take a
swing at me. <Derek rolled over and looked at Danny> we can't live like this
anymore. Make a decision; any decision that you want about your relationship
with Tyler and our family but just make one! Nothing is going to change or get
better until you decide?" Danny said and quietly closed the door behind him.
Danny climbed the steps to the third floor and walked into the computer room
where Cody was silently doing homework.
The sound of Danny closing the door alerted Cody that he wasn't alone.
"Go away... I'm busy," Cody said without looking over.
"It doesn't matter what you are doing because this is more important. We're
going to talk right now or you can beat the crap out of me. Your choice?" Danny
said and Cody threw his pen down.
"Tyler said you were mad at him for being angry with Chris and Kyle?" Danny
asked.
"I don't want to talk about this, alright?" Cody said louder than was necessary.
"You don't have a choice Cody. I can't help you or support you when I don't know
what is going on between the two of you? I don't even know what is going on
inside your head? I try not to be nosey and I try to listen when you need me to,
but saying nothing to the one person in your life that you are suppose to trust
is saying a lot about our relationship," Danny said and Cody dropped his head
into hands.
"You can say whatever you want to Dr. Reynolds or Ryan but right now the one you
should be talking to is me. You just tried to hit me. You have so much rage
built up in you right now that you almost hit someone. Someone that I don't
think is even a worthy target of your anger?" Danny said and then leaned quietly
against the door.
<Four minutes pass>
"I'm sorry," Cody said and then took a deep breath.
"Thanks, but that really doesn't tell me what the problem is?" Danny asked as he
stared at Cody.
"You're mad at Tyler because Chris and Kyle were doing something that they
really shouldn't have been doing in this house without someone's permission?"
Danny asked.
"No... or only in part anyway," Cody said and sighed.
Danny walked over to the desk and sat on the corner of it next to Cody. Cody's
head remained face down on the desk covered in the security of his arms. Danny
bent down and kissed the top of Cody's blond curls.
"Please talk to me, Cody," Danny asked, as he placed his right hand on Cody's
shoulder.
"I'm not as mad at Tyler over Chris and Kyle as I am over his fight with Derek!"
Cody said.
"I don't understand Cody? Help me out please?" Danny asked.
Cody raised his tear-stained face and looked up at Danny. "What happens when
Tyler and Derek break up?" Cody asked.
"I don't know? I'm guessing that Tyler will move upstairs and Derek will stay
there. I don't think they're going to start dating someone else right away?"
Danny said.
"No Danny! What happens to our family? Tyler is the hub! We have our family
through Tyler!" Cody said and dropped his head back down in his arms.
Danny thought for a moment trying to piece the puzzle together. "Oh shit!" Danny
exclaimed and Cody looked up to see Danny staring at the wall with his mouth
hanging open.
"What?" Cody asked.
"You're mad at Tyler because you're afraid of not being able to see Casey
anymore," Danny said as his gaze moved to Cody. Cody silently dropped his head
back down.
"You selfish fucktard!" Danny said calmly. "You think that anyone other than
Kathy or Casey is going to stop you from seeing Casey? Grow up, Cody! No one is
going to interfere with your love for Casey or his love for you! Everyone knows
he is the poster boy for a dysfunctional childhood! You're the best thing to
ever happen to him! You've been through what Tyler is experiencing right now! Of
all the people in Tyler's life you should be the most sympathetic? Danny said
but Cody remained silent and in thought.
"No, none of our family would have happened without Tyler being the hub! So
maybe you should be a little more appreciative of Tyler and stop thinking about
yourself. Thank God you are seeing Dr. Reynolds because you seriously need your
head read. I might be slow and selfish but at least I am learning to be better.
You really need to ask yourself if you are even worthy of Tyler's friendship?"
Danny said as he jumped down from the desk and walked out of the room, slamming
the door shut behind him.
Tyler pulled into Drexel University and stopped to chat with Mike at the
security booth.
"Are you dropping by the party tonight?" Tyler asked.
"I'll try my best. It's a house warming party?" Mike asked.
"House warming, and Derek's birthday party!" Tyler said.
"How old is going to be?" Mike asked.
"He turned 20 last weekend but we wanted to have a party for him with all of our
friends in Philadelphia!" Tyler said.
"Is there going to be cake?" Mike jokingly asked.
"You bet! In the shape of a huge penis because Derek's being a dick as of late,"
Tyler joked, and Mike laughed not sure if Tyler was joking or not.
"A big cake?" Mike asked.
"Ummm... yeah. Why?" Tyler asked.
"Cause if Gus is going then I want to make sure there is some cake left for the
rest of us?" Mike said and then released the talk button on his walkie-talkie.
"FUCKERS!!!!!!!!" They heard Gus yell back into the walkie-talkie. Mike howled
with laughter.
"Tell Gus I'm on my way in to clean out the security closet," Tyler said and
waved as he drove off.
By force of habit Tyler drove to his old parking space. He was surprised to see
it was still reserved for him and empty as well so he backed his Jeep into the
spot. Tyler locked the Jeep up and headed in through the rear entrance.
"I don't see any packages in your hand?" Gus asked and started laughing.
"You have to come to the party tonight for that," Tyler teased.
"I'm not sure if I remember the code to get in there or not?" Gus joked.
"It's a big cake... really big cake," Tyler said with a grin.
"Really big?" Gus asked as he rubbed his jaw and licked his lips.
"Really, really!" Tyler said nodding.
"Do I have to share with Mike?" Gus jokingly asked holding the walkie-talkie
button.
Tyler leaned into the walkie-talkie microphone and said, "Of course you do
because Mike will kick my ass if there isn't a big piece of cake saved for him."
Gus laughed along with Mike's voice coming through the speaker.
Gus unlocked the door and began helping Tyler carrying boxes out to his Jeep. It
only took two trips to fill up the back of the Jeep and the rear seats.
"Thanks a lot Gus for your help here and all of last semester." Tyler said
shaking his hand. "You are going to come to the party tonight, aren't you?"
Tyler asked leaning on his Jeep.
"Oh, I wouldn't miss the opportunity to eat cake for the world," Gus said
laughing. "That reminds me! I have some cutlery of yours. C'mon in for second
and I will give it to you." Tyler followed Gus back in and returned with a
plastic bag filled with forks. Tyler laughed at the bag as he walked back to his
Jeep.
As Tyler pulled his key out to stick it into the lock in the back of Jeep, his
face was slammed into the rear window and he dropped the bag of forks on the
ground.
"DON'T MOVE!" The voice said. Tyler's left side of his face was pressed against
the rear window.
"My wallets in my back left pocket if you want it?" Tyler asked remaining
motionless.
"I don't want your money! I want you, Mr. Peel!" The voice said. Tyler was about
to speak until he saw the bright stainless steel knife two inches from his face
reflecting light from a lamppost above.
"Recognize it?" The voice asked.
"Yeah...," Tyler said.
"Good! I've been waiting around here every night since the new semester started.
I was worried you weren't coming back but I knew you wouldn't let the team down.
Now you know I'm not afraid to use it right here and now so why don't you be the
good little boy that everyone thinks you are and do exactly as you are told or I
can slit your throat right now?" The voice said as he twisted the knife back and
forth to catch the reflection of light. He wanted Tyler to know that he was
serious.
"And if I don't?" Tyler asked. The voice then pierced the side of Tyler's throat
with the knife and a gloved hand pressed over his mouth muffled Tyler's scream.
Tyler was turned around 180 degrees so he could now see his captor before him.
He wore a black balaclava, black coat, black jeans, and black Doc Marten boots.
Tyler confirmed his suspicions when he saw the eyes peering through the black
mask.
"What do you want, Dakota?" Tyler said as the knife's blade rested against
Tyler's jugular vein.
"You!" Dakota said laughing. "Maybe you're not as smart as everyone thinks after
all? Now we're going to walk around to the right side of the Jeep and you will
unlock the door, hand me the keys and then crawl in through the passenger side."
Dakota let up on Tyler slightly to reach into his pocket and pull out a pair of
handcuffs. "Put these on first!" Dakota ordered and Tyler put them on with the
knife still held against his throat.
"You're perspiring, Mr. Peel!" Dakota said with a short chuckle. "Don't waste
that energy because you'll need it later," he added, as he grabbed hold of
Tyler's member through his jeans.
Tyler walked slowly around the side of the Jeep with Dakota's left hand on his
left shoulder and the knife held firmly to his throat. He opened the door,
handed the keys to Dakota, and crawled inside. Dakota slid in along with him.
"Now lets suppose you want to honk the horn?" Dakota said with a smile. "Knife
through the throat and I'm gone before anyone can identify me! So behave and
we'll get along just fine. Be foolish, and you will die," he said, as he reached
into the same pocket again and pulled out another pair of handcuffs with 12
inches of chain between them.
"Put these on your ankles." Dakota said holding the knife carefully at Tyler's
throat. Tyler could now feel the trickle of blood running down to his chest as
he bent down to shackle himself.
"Start this piece of crap up and lets get out of here." Dakota said grinning
behind the mask.
Tyler started the Jeep up and put it in drive. He stopped before rounding the
bend to head past the guard booth.
"I didn't tell you to stop!" Dakota said.
"Mike at the booth is going to want to talk to me?" Tyler said.
"Drive up slowly and nod. If he attempts to come out of the booth then I will
handle it!" Dakota said and Tyler looked over at him in fear of what might
happen.
"You've really got this planned out, don't you?" Tyler asked looking over at
him.
"I've had a lot of time to plan this out." Dakota said. "Now drive!" Tyler
pulled out and turned right. He slowed down as he approached the booth hoping
Mike would simply raise the bar and let him pass.
"If you let me open the window I can just tell him that I am late and have to
run?" Tyler asked.
"In case you haven't noticed you're not in charge anymore, Captain Peel," Dakota
said.
As Tyler approached he slowed down and Mike came out of the booth laughing as he
spoke into the walkie-talkie. Dakota jammed his left foot down on the
accelerator and they drove through the bar breaking it into pieces and just
missing Mike.
"What the fuck?" Mike yelled with his hands up in disbelief.
Tyler grabbed the wheel and swerved to the right to avoid an oncoming car.
Dakota release his foot off the accelerator and began laughing. Tyler looked
over and shook his head.
"Where are we going?" Tyler demanded.
"Turn when I tell you to is all you need to know," Dakota said pulling his
balaclava off.
"You don't need to hold that against my throat. I can't do anything with
handcuffs on." Tyler said.
"Fair enough! Go over the speed limit by one mile and I'll slit your throat
right then!" Dakota said pulling his hand back a few inches. Forty-five minutes
later they arrived at their destination.
"We could have been here in twenty minutes," Tyler said.
"I just wanted to make sure we weren't being followed," Dakota said with a grin.
Dakota instructed Tyler to pull up on the very left side as close as possible to
the white box.
"What now?" Tyler asked.
"Roll down your window and punch in the code 4653 and hit the enter button,"
Dakota said.
"What a strange code...," Tyler mused.
"It spells the word 'gold'! The only thing of value to my grandfather," Dakota
said. Tyler punched in the code and hit enter. The gold tipped iron gates began
opening. Tyler drove forward along the tree lined driveway and the up the hill
to the right of the mansion. He saw the gates begin to close in his rear view
mirror.
"Pull up over on the right, just by that tree!" Dakota said pointing off to the
right. Tyler parked the Jeep just off of the paved driveway and over to the
right. He put the Jeep in park and turned the engine off. Tyler looked to his
left to see a barn. He then peered out his side view mirror to see the well-lit
mansion in distance. Dakota pulled the keys out of the ignition and put them in
the same pocket that had previously held the two pairs of handcuffs. Dakota
opened his passenger door and instructed Tyler to make his way out via the same
door.
When Tyler was outside of the Jeep, Dakota locked the doors and said, "We don't
want anyone to steal anything." Dakota wiped the handles down with his gloves
making sure he hadn't left any fingerprints and then removed his gloves. At that
point Tyler knew he was going die.
Dakota pointed in the direction of the barn at the back of the mansion with his
knife. As Tyler began to walk his chains dragged on the ground.
"Please spread you legs a bit. We don't want to wake anyone with the sounds of
those chains, do we?" Dakota asked laughing.
When they reached the back of the barn Dakota opened the door by sliding a piece
of wood across. Once inside he slid it back to the closed position. Tyler
immediately noticed the lack of any smell of farm animals. Dakota pushed Tyler
forward through the darkness towards one corner of the barn where an open
stairway without any railing went down. Dakota stopped him and handed him a tiny
key.
"Remove those ankle shackles. We don't want you falling down the stairs and
hurting yourself... before it's time," Dakota said, and then flashed another
short cheesy grin.
Tyler removed his ankle bracelets from his legs and carried them downstairs.
Dakota flipped a switch and a long straight underground hallway appeared. They
walked slowly towards a door that was about one-quarter of the way down the
hall. Tyler counted the seven lights as they climbed the slight slope upwards.
"Stop!" Dakota said. Tyler stopped and felt his cell phone buzzing in his front
pocket. He looked in the reflection of the tiny window opposite the door to see
the drying trail of blood running down his neck.
"Go!" Dakota said after opening the door. Tyler walked into a darkened room a
few steps ahead of Dakota only to be blinded by the light being turned on. When
his eyes adjusted to the light he saw a single sized cot on the right hand side,
a table without any chairs, and barn pole in the middle of the far wall opposite
the door. There was another door going back to another room but it was closed.
"Stand against that pole and put those shackles back on but make sure you run
the chain around the back of the pole first." Dakota ordered and Tyler did as he
was told. He put cuffs back on so that his feet were out in front of the pole
but chained from behind. He then looked at Dakota for the first time. He
obviously hadn't shaved in a day or two or showered, it appeared. His hair was
messy but his eyes hadn't changed at all. That intense rage of fire still burned
within.
Dakota removed his coat and then tossed a different set of keys at Tyler. Tyler
caught them in his cuffed hands. He was told to unlock his handcuffs and remove
his coat and shirt. Tyler pulled his sweatshirt off and saw the trail of drying
blood running down the inside of the front of his shirt. He tossed the keys back
to Dakota without being asked.
"Good boy, Captain Peel! I like obedience and foresight." Dakota said. "Now cuff
yourself behind the pole." As Tyler cuffed himself behind the pole he felt his
phone begin to vibrate in his front pocket. He hoped that Dakota wouldn't notice
it.
"Stretch your arms out!" Dakota ordered as he began removing his own shirt.
"Faster!" he yelled as Tyler appeared as if he was trying to flap his arms.
"Turn around slowly!" Dakota added. He wanted to see that the handcuffs really
were properly attached.
"Nice...," Dakota said as he set the knife down on his bed. Dakota approached
Tyler feeling more secure now. He stood face-to-face and Tyler stared deep into
his eyes.
"Don't be afraid, Ty... at least not just yet." Dakota said and grinned. Dakota
placed his left palm on Tyler's chest. He thumbed Tyler's nipple. "I see you're
not much of bleeder?" he said, as he wiped some of Tyler's dried blood on his
finger. He held it up for Tyler to see and then Dakota sucked the blood off of
his finger.
Dakota laughed and then ran his index finger horizontally across Tyler's throat
very slowly. Dakota could feel Tyler swallowing from the touch.
Dakota slid his hand down on to Tyler's member. Tyler prayed that Dakota
wouldn't notice his phone. Tyler's member noticed Dakota's hand and immediately
became erect.
"Awww... isn't that sweet. You've missed me?" Dakota asked but got no reply as
Tyler's face remained motionless. Dakota placed his lips on Tyler's left nipple
and began sucking. Tyler felt his phone vibrate again and decided he had better
distract Dakota.
"Oh God that feels so...," Tyler said and then began moaning. Dakota stopped and
smiled. He reached down and began undoing Tyler's belt. Tyler's phone was still
vibrating.
"Kiss me," Tyler moaned. Dakota blinked for a second and then pressed his lips
against Tyler's. The smell of Dakota's unwashed body made Tyler want to throw
up. Tyler's phone stopped vibrating as Dakota went back to undoing Tyler's belt
and opening his jeans. Dakota bent down and pushed Tyler's jeans and boxers down
to the floor in one fell swoop. Dakota looked straight at Tyler's erection.
"Damn, that really is one fine piece of cock! It almost brings back fond
memories of our shower together. Almost... I think it would look nice mounted on
a piece of cedar plank tacked up over the door. What do you think?" Dakota asked
and laughed as he moved Tyler's foreskin up and down. Tyler remained motionless.
"Looks like you haven't shaved in a week or so?" Dakota asked looking down at
Tyler's pubic hair. Not waiting for response Dakota said, "We know how to take
care of that don't we?" Dakota walked back over to bed and picked up his knife.
Tyler could see the bulge in Dakota's jeans.
Dakota grabbed hold of Tyler's erection and pulled it downward. Tyler moaned.
"You like that, don't you?" Dakota said, looking up but Tyler just looked
straight ahead. "Now don't move while I shave you or else we're going to see
where else you bleed!"
Dakota pressed the blood stained knife against Tyler's waist at the top of his
pubic hair. As he held Tyler's member in his open palm the foreskin began to
retract as his erection grew down Dakota's arm. Dakota had barely begun to shave
him when Tyler's orgasm spewed forth and shot down Dakota's arm. Dakota began
laughing and then jerking away on Tyler to milk everything he could from his
member. Tyler moaned as he felt it would never stop.
"Nice load!" Dakota said standing up and looking at his cum soaked arm. He
lifted his arm up to his mouth and licked up all of Tyler's orgasm while staring
at Tyler with an evil grin. When he finished he pressed his lips to Tyler's and
inserted his tongue into Tyler's mouth.
"Sorry about that. It was just the way you touch me that turns me on," Tyler
lied.
"I knew it!" Dakota said beaming. "I knew you were turned on by me." Tyler gave
a partial smile.
"I need to pee!" Tyler said hoping to get the handcuffs off.
"Never let it be said that I didn't do something nice for Captain Peel!" Dakota
said grinning. He stripped off all of his clothes with the exception of his
boxers and returned to face Tyler. Dakota stared Tyler down and then grinned and
winked. Dakota dropped to his knees and took Tyler's now flaccid member in his
mouth.
Dakota inserted his tongue into the foreskin and licked up Tyler's remains.
Tyler became erect again.
"Go ahead," Dakota said, holding Tyler's member on his lips.
"Now?" Tyler asked.
"Yes!" Dakota said still grinning.
"Here?" Tyler asked and Dakota nodded. "It's going to make a mess." Tyler added.
"We're in a barn Tyler... think about it?" Dakota said rolling his eyes.
Tyler closed his eyes and concentrated. It didn't take much for him to begin
urinating on Dakota.
"Here it comes." Tyler said as he opened his eyes and looked down to watch
Dakota with his mouth open. His flow began right into Dakota's mouth. He could
see Dakota swallowing as much as he could but most of ran down his face and
chest. Dakota pulled Tyler's cock out of his mouth and stood up. He directed the
stream all over his chest and then pushed Tyler's cock down inside his own
boxers. Tyler could see Dakota become fully erect.
"Almost done," Tyler said, and Dakota dropped to his knees to drink the last few
drops.
"Thanks, that was so fucking hot!" Tyler lied.
"I didn't know you were into... alternative activities like water sports?"
Dakota asked grinning.
"Not normally," Tyler said aloud, and then thought 'but you're not normal'.
"Not normally?" Dakota asked.
"Most aren't into the finer pleasures of life," Tyler said and winked.
"You know I might just keep you around a little while longer to videotape us.
Something to have for later," Dakota said and Tyler stared coldly at him.
"I could use a drink of water," Tyler requested.
"I have a better idea." Dakota said. "Get down on your knees!" Tyler held the
back of the pole with his hands and slid himself down as slowly as possible. He
swallowed hard knowing what was coming next.
"I need you down on your knees too!" Tyler requested to vie for more time.
Dakota dropped to knees and put his face within inches of Tyler.
"Hold me please?" Tyler begged and Dakota paused wondering if he was trying to
trick him. Dakota cautiously wrapped his arms around Tyler. Tyler took a silent
deep breath before leaning in to kiss him. Tyler moaned enough to convince
Dakota that it was real. Tyler began flexing his muscle to try and make himself
hard again. Tyler began sticking his tongue inside of Dakota's mouth. Dakota
felt Tyler's erection against his own and started to believe he really was in
love with him.
"Hold me tighter!" Tyler lied.
Dakota stood up and pushed his erection in front of Tyler's mouth. Tyler wasted
no time in taking Dakota's member in his mouth and sucking away. He didn't want
to Dakota to think anything other than he was in love with him.
Tyler moaned and sucked as Dakota moaned along as well. Dakota placed his hands
on Tyler's head and began forcing himself inside Tyler's mouth.
Tyler began choking and Dakota suddenly backed off and asked, "Are you scared,
Ty?"
"Terrified!" Tyler said honestly.
"Good!" Dakota said. "It means you're being honest with me. I like that despite
the fact that I hate you and I'm going to kill you," Dakota said laughing and
Tyler felt his phone vibrate again.
"Why are you going to kill me?" Tyler asked.
"Because you hate me!" Dakota justified.
"I don't hate you Dakota. I never did. Why do you think I helped you out in the
Coach's office that day?" Tyler asked.
"Because you wanted to torment me some more!" Dakota yelled.
"I've done everything I could possibly do to be nice to you. I've tried to help
you and be a friend but you wouldn't allow it," Tyler said calmly.
"I gave you the DVD but you didn't help me," Dakota yelled into Tyler's face.
"What DVD?" Tyler asked.
"You know what I'm talking about." Dakota said.
Tyler thought about for a moment and then said, "The third DVD?"
Dakota nodded and asked, "Did you like it? Did you get off on it?"
"I didn't watch it. I still have it but I never watched it. I kept it in case
you tried to do something to Cody or Ryan," Tyler said.
"I don't believe you!" Dakota yelled in Tyler's face.
Tyler's cell phone began vibrating again.
"STAND UP!" Dakota yelled.
"I can't without your help!" Tyler said. Dakota slapped Tyler across the face.
Tyler feared that his time was even more limited and needed to calm Dakota down.
"I promise you Dakota. I never watched it. I don't even know what is on it?"
Tyler said.
"STAND UP!" Dakota repeated even louder. Tyler tried but couldn't with his legs
cuffed behind the pole.
Dakota put his hands under Tyler's arms and forcibly lifted him up in the air
Tyler's legs swung around to the front of the pole and stopped when the chain
pulled tight.
Dakota release Tyler and went over to his bed and picked up his knife. He
returned with knife held out and the blade approaching Tyler's neck. Tyler
looked into his eyes and no longer saw Dakota.
"You didn't watch huh?" Dakota yelled. "Because you didn't care what happened to
me? You'd help any asshole with anything but you hated me too much!" Dakota
yelled. Tyler could feel the heat from his breath on his face.
"WHY?" Dakota yelled.
"Why do you hate me? I gave you that video to help me!" Dakota yelled as tears
began to flow.
"You were my only hope...," Dakota said as his words began to slur. He dropped
down to the ground and leaned against his cot. After a few seconds he looked up
at Tyler. Tears ran down Tyler's cheek.
"I didn't know what was on the DVD. If I had known I would have watched it. I'm
sorry. I still have the DVD and I can help you?" Tyler pleaded.
The rage returned to Dakota's eyes as he lifted himself back up with a clenched
fist holding the knife. "A little too late to say you're sorry now... Tyler
Peel," Dakota said.
Dakota began to shake as he said, "You left me in this prison to rot and die!
Now it's your turn! Payback's are a bitch, aren't they?"
"Where's Tyler?" Derek asked Danny.
"He went out to pick up our stuff at the school and then over to the restaurant
to get your cake. I've been calling his cell phone but all it does is ring,"
Danny said, and Derek suddenly became nervous.
"Did you call the restaurant? Maybe they have him working?" Derek asked.
"Do you have the number?" Danny asked and Derek went to get the phone book and
look up the number.
"Ciccone's Trattoria!" The voice said.
"Hello, I was wondering if Tyler Peel is there?" Danny asked as Derek listened
to one side of the conversation.
"No, I'm sorry he isn't working tonight," the voice said.
"Ummm... he was supposed to pick up a cake," Danny said.
"Right! Just let me check with Brendan," the voice said.
"Hello?" Brendan said.
"Hi, Brendan?" Danny asked.
"Yes?" Brendan said.
"This is Danny Armitage, Tyler's roommate. Has he been by to pick up the cake?"
Danny asked.
"No and I was wondering why he hasn't been here? He was supposed to be here
before seven and it's almost eight now!" Brendan said. Danny shook his head and
Derek now became worried.
"Okay, thanks Brendan. If he shows up will you tell him to phone me please?"
Danny asked.
"Sure. Is everything alright?" Brendan asked.
"I'm not sure," Danny said and closed his cell phone.
"He's not answering," Derek said snapping his phone closed so hard that he
checked to make sure he didn't break it.
Danny grabbed the open phone book and began flipping pages.
"What are you looking up?" Derek asked.
"Gus's phone number. He should be working until ten. I want to see if Tyler's
been there," Danny said.
"Good idea," Derek said as he began pacing the room.
"Could you put me through to Gus?" Danny asked of the person answering the
phone.
"This is Gus, how can I help you?" Gus said.
"GUS!" Danny yelled. "Thank God it's you. We can't find Tyler and we were
wondering if he was there?"
"What?" Danny yelled and Derek ran over to Danny.
"Say that again, Gus. I have Derek listening in as well," Danny said.
"I said, he was here and got his stuff. Everything seemed fine and then the next
thing I hear is that he drove out of here at such a fast speed that he almost
hit Mike and he took out the crossing barrier!" Gus said. "When I get a hold of
that boy's ass..."
"Hang on Gus! We'll be right there!" Danny said slamming his phone shut. "Get
your keys!"
Derek ran to the front hall closet and grabbed his coat. He looked up at where
Tyler had hid his present and saw it was gone.
"Cody????" Danny yelled up the stairs! "We're gone! You've got the house and the
dogs!" Danny said and raced downstairs after Tyler.
Derek drove as fast as he could for the six blocks it took to arrive at Drexel.
He slowed down for Mike but just barely.
"Are you okay?" Derek asked in a panic voice.
"I'm fine but your Tyler won't be when I get a hold of him!" Mike said.
"Something's not right, Mike!" Danny yelled from the passenger side. "We all
know Tyler!"
"Maybe?" Mike said unconvincingly. "Go see Gus," he said popping the gate up.
Danny and Derek ran through the back door to Gus at the Boyd House security
desk.
Both boys were panting as they stood there in front of Gus.
"Can you tell us what happened?" Danny asked and Gus relayed the events in
chronological order.
"Something isn't right here?" Derek said as he tapped on the counter.
"Could he have been angry that you teased him about not bringing anything for
you?" Danny asked.
"Not a chance boys. Lots of times he doesn't bring something and I always tease
him."
"Something had to happen between here and the guard house?" Danny mused aloud.
"Hmmm..." Gus said and the boys paused to look at him. Gus began playing with
the equipment on his desk.
"A-ha!" Gus said and smiled. "We still have the video camera pointed where Tyler
parks his Jeep! That boy is a bit neurotic about that thing!" Gus said smiling.
"You should have seen him when dad brought his Jeep back covered in mud!" Derek
joked.
"What the hell is that?" Gus said and Derek and Danny leaned over trying to see
his monitor.
"Come around here, boys." Gus said and they came in behind Gus and leaned down
to look closely at the monitor.
"Now let me back this up. You see... right there <Gus pointed> are Ty and me
carrying the last load out to his Jeep. I know it's the last load because he
opened up the right passenger door... right there." Gus said pointing again at a
spot on the screen giving a play-by-play of what was happening.
"He put the seat forward and then closed up the Jeep," Gus said.
"There you guys are talking," Danny said, and Gus looked over his right shoulder
at Danny.
"Sorry!" Danny said grinning.
"He came back in to pick up a bag of forks I had collected from him. Now watch
closely. See that!" Gus said, pointing at the monitor.
"There was a bunch of utensils scattered all round where Ty parks!" Danny said.
"Looks like someone dressed in black walked by Ty's Jeep?" Derek guessed.
"Let's see where this goes?" Gus said.
"There's Tyler with the bag in his hand!" Danny said and Gus looked back at him.
Danny grinned.
"What's that?" Derek yelled.
"Someone just slammed Tyler against his Jeep." Gus said stopping the tape.
"Why did you stop it?" Danny asked. "Sorry!" Danny said before Gus could turn
back around.
"I want to zoom in closer and play it in slow motion," Gus said.
"What's that flashing?" Derek said.
"Looks like a knife?" Gus said as he picked up his phone.
"Can you zoom in more?" Danny asked.
"SHIT!" Danny yelled and Gus jumped.
"What is it Danny?" Derek asked and Danny turned white as a ghost.
"That's... that's... Dakota Thompson's knife! I remember it from the bus! It's a
very rare knife. His grandfather gave to him when he graduated from
something...," Danny said.
"It's Gus at Drexel Security! Can you put me through to Officer Brady or the
Sergeant on Duty please? Yes, Ma'am it is. We have a kidnapping in progress,"
Gus said and Derek started to shake.
"Where would Dakota live?" Danny asked.
"I dunno..." Derek said.
The both looked at each other and said, "With Dean Thompson!"
"Where's Dean Thompson live?" Danny asked interrupting Gus on hold.
"No, boys! This is a police matter!" Gus said.
"Yes, Sergeant!" Gus began...
"We're going to need some tools... equipment... flashlight... weapons?" Danny
said quietly to Derek.
"What would Dakota Thompson want with Tyler now?" Derek asked and Danny's eyes
lit up.
"The DVD!" Danny yelled.
"Huh?" Derek asked.
"Tyler has a DVD hidden of Dakota's sexual relationship with Cody and Ryan.
Tyler was holding on to it for security. Any idea where it might be?" Danny
asked as he dialed up Cody's cell phone.
"Where the hell are you?" Cody demanded to know.
"Some might say 'Hi' when they answer the phone. Now shut up and listen!" Danny
said.
"You shut up! I've got Austin, Justin, Ryan, Ben, and Cody numbers one and three
here! Where the fuck are you?" Cody yelled.
"Shut up and listen! The party's over so send them home. Do you know where Tyler
hid that DVD of Dakota?" Danny asked and Cody pulled the cell phone away from
his ear and looked at it.
"What?" Cody asked.
"Where is the fucking DVD Cody? Tyler's been kidnapped by Dakota Thompson!"
Danny yelled.
"Will you keep it down, Danny!" Gus said holding his hand over the mouthpiece of
his phone. "What's Tyler's cell phone number? They want to put a trace on it
right now!" Gus asked and Derek wrote it down on a piece of paper.
"Sorry, Gus!" Danny said. "Find that DVD and we're picking you up in 10 minutes!
Get a flashlight and some weapons as well." Danny said.
"Weapons?" Cody asked still confused.
"Give me the phone, Danny!" Derek yelled.
"Cody?" Derek yelled.
"Stop yelling I can hear you!" Cody said as everyone in the room gathered
around.
"That DVD from Dakota... it was in an orange plastic CD case right?" Derek
asked.
"Ummm... yeah, I think so," Cody said.
"Go into my closet and look for a box on the floor with a red lid! Look in
there! Grab your coat, a flashlight, and some weapons! Make sure someone stays
around to look after Echo and Chaos!" Derek said and closed up Danny's phone.
"What are you doing?" Derek asked of Danny.
"What does it look like dumbass? I'm reading the phonebook to kill time!" Danny
said shaking his head.
"There it is!" Danny said. "Get me a piece of paper and a pen!"
Derek reached over the security desk and took a blank pad of paper and pulled a
pen from Gus' front pocket. Gus looked up at Derek and Derek smiled.
Danny and Derek began running back towards the door.
"BOYS! BOYS!!!!!!!! Shit!" Gus yelled into the phone.
Gus grabbed his walkie-talkie and called Mike. "Grab your truck, sign out two
guns from the bin, and meet me at the back of Boyd House!"
Mike jumped out of the way as Derek's red Jeep Cherokee sped out the entrance.
Derek scanned his cell phone directory as he drove. *Beep*
Luke looked around and saw no one. He grinned and rubbed his hands together.
Picking up the receiver he said, "Thank you for calling the Confessional
Hotline. Father Anderson is away at vespers right now, but if you'll leave your
name, number, and confession at the tone, he'll get back to you with absolution
as soon as possible. And remember, confession doesn't count unless you confess
all of your sins in vivid, graphic detail."
"LUCAS!!!!!!!!!!! Get mom or dad RIGHT NOW!" Derek yelled into the phone making
Danny jump.
"Dad's on the other phone line in his office and Mom is in the bathtub," Luke
said. "Something wrong?"
"YES! Take the phone to one of them RIGHT NOW DAMMIT!" Derek yelled and then
glared at his cell phone.
Luke ran into Larry's office and was waved off so he ran upstairs and banged on
his mother's bathroom door.
"I'm in the bath Luke!" Linda yelled.
"It's an emergency!" Luke yelled.
"Then open the door!" Linda said and Luke ran in handed her the phone.
Derek talked while Linda listened. "Oh my God, honey," Linda said.
"Pull over Derek! NOW!" Danny yelled and Derek pulled over to the curb. Danny
jumped out and made Derek move over to the front passenger seat.
"Sorry, Mom, we don't know anything else. The police are called and we're on our
way to see if we can locate his Jeep," Derek said breaking down and crying.
"Get your father NOW!" Linda yelled at Luke.
Luke ran back downstairs. "Dad?" he called quietly and Larry waved him away as
he continued his conversation.
"DAD!!!!!!" Luke yelled.
"Excuse me one moment Jim, LUCAS! I'm on the phone!" Larry yelled.
"It's an emergency, Dad! Mom said for you to haul your ass upstairs right now!
Derek's on the phone!" Luke yelled back getting angry with his father.
"Jim, we have a problem here, can I call you back?" Larry asked. "Great, sorry
about this," he said and hung up. Larry gave Luke a cold stare and ran out past
him. Luke followed Larry up the stairs.
"...we can be there in two and half hours Derek." Linda was heard saying as
Larry entered the bathroom followed by Luke.
"No Mom, we haven't found him and we don't know anything for certain yet. I will
call you when I know something," Derek said.
"Derek! You let the police handle it! You stay out of it, we don't need you
getting hurt as well!" Linda said and Luke and Larry's stomachs dropped as they
heard Linda speak.
"Okay, Mom," Derek said shaking his head and rolling his eyes at Danny while he
drove home."
"We'll keep the phone lines open honey, call as soon as you know anything,"
Linda said. "I love you, Derek."
"Love you too, Mom... I've got to go." Derek said and closed his cell phone.
Kyle could hear the commotion going on at the end of the hall and peaked around
his monitor.
"What's going on honey?" Larry asked and Linda stared off in the distance in
shock.
"Honey?" Larry repeated.
"Remember that Dakota boy who tried to hurt Tyler on the bus. The boy that
knifed two of Tyler's tires on his Jeep?" Linda said.
"Yeah... sort of...," Larry said.
"He's kidnapped Tyler," Linda said with her mouth hanging open.
"What?" Larry yelled.
Luke burst into tears and ran out of the bedroom. He dove on to his bed and
grabbed hold of Mango as he sobbed and screamed into his pillow.
Kyle heard Luke and knew right away that something bad had happened. Kyle
messaged Chris that something 'major was going down' and he would have to go for
a bit. Kyle hurried down the hallway and stopped at Luke's bedroom door to see
him face down and crying. He ran into his parent's bedroom to find his Dad
holding his Mother as she cried. Kyle took two quiet steps backwards out of the
room wondering if he even wanted to know what was going on. He stood outside the
doorway and listened.
"I think we should head up there right now, Larry." Linda said through her
tears. Kyle immediately knew they were referring to Philly.
"I don't think there's anything we can do right now. We should probably get
packed and ready to go when the time comes. Kathy can look after the boys,"
Larry said.
"We better tell Kyle," Linda said.
"Tell me what?" Kyle asked stepping inside the room.
Linda looked at him and burst into tears. Larry hugged and held her.
"What's going on?" Kyle asked holding back tears.
"We don't know much at the moment Kyle but something has happened to Tyler,"
Larry said. Kyle froze.
"Derek just told me that he was kidnapped by some former member of their hockey
team. They saw a videotape of it happening," Linda said through her tears and
Kyle ran out of his bedroom and headed downstairs.
"You take Luke and I'll get Kyle!" Larry said as he released Linda and headed
back downstairs.
Danny double-parked in front of their townhouse. They ran in to find everyone
there with their coats on ready to go. Cody had an orange DVD in one hand and
three hockey sticks in the other. Derek grinned and shook his head.
"We're all going!" Austin said and Danny began writing out copies of the
address.
"Someone needs to stay here and look after the dogs?" Derek said. "Justin? Would
you please stay here for Tyler's sake? He loves Echo and Chaos so much. Justin
nodded and went over and hugged Austin.
"Guys, no one parks in front of the house!" Danny said. "Do we have
flashlights?"
"We've all got them in our vehicles!" Ryan said. "Let's go get our Tyler back
and tear Dakota a new asshole!"
Derek looked down and grabbed the rechargeable flashlight that was plugged in
the wall.
Danny sighed watching this and then looked over at Cody.
"What?" Cody asked. "I was busy finding the DVD and getting weapons." All three
ran out to the Jeep and jumped in speeding off ahead of the others. They found
the street and decided to park and go for a walk. Shortly after they left the
vehicle two other vehicles pulled up and parked behind Derek's Jeep.
"There's no names or numbers on any of these houses?" Danny said as the group
walked down the long street.
"All these houses have gates and security systems as well!" Ben said.
"Okay guys! Let's split up! Ryan, Ben and Austin... go back and grab your
vehicle and drive to the other end and start walking towards us. Cody's one and
three you drive halfway down and start looking there. Who ever locates the house
be sure and ring the others right away! Everyone split up and began walking.
A limousine passed by Derek, Danny, and Cody. Cody said, "Isn't that the limo
that Dean Thompson rides in? I remember it being parked near the bus that night
with Dakota!"
They all picked up the pace and ran after the limousine.
Carl punched the code in and the iron gates began to open. The boys ran as fast
as they could with Derek in the lead and Cody closing in. Danny was lagging
behind because he was carrying the hockey sticks and flashlight. The gates had
begun to close as Derek reached the edge of the property. He managed to duck in
as well as Cody but Danny didn't make it in time. Derek and Cody were both bent
over trying to catch their breath when they turned to see Danny still on the
outside.
"So much for those morning runs, huh?" Cody asked. Danny glared and passed the
hockey sticks through the gate and then the flashlight. Danny looked up and then
took two steps back. He made a running jump up on to the iron gates. He was up
and over in less than ten seconds. Wiping his hands he grinned at both of them.
"Let's go!" Derek said.
"From now on you are officially nicknamed monkey-boy!" Cody said as he passed
each of them a hockey stick.
As the limousine rounded the fountain to the left, the headlights caught
something that attracted Dean Thompson's attention. Carl put the car in park and
jumped out and ran around the vehicle to open the door for Dean Thompson. Carl
held his hand out to receive the Dean's briefcase. He handed it back to the Dean
and said good night as he closed the door.
Dean Thompson set his briefcase down on the front step and walked around to the
driveway side of the house to figure out what exactly he had seen.
"Car!" Derek yelled and all three turned around and began running back down the
driveway.
"Bushes!" Danny yelled and they all dove into hedges along side the driveway
just as the headlights of the limousine started down the driveway.
Dakota returned the knife to Tyler's throat. "Now Mr. Peel how would you like to
die? What's that?" Dakota asked.
"My cell phone is ringing!" Tyler said in a last attempt to buy him some more
time. Dakota bent down and reached into Tyler's jeans pockets until he found the
phone.
"Hmmm unknown number?" Dakota said holding the phone's screen to show Tyler.
Dakota answered Tyler's phone.
"Hello?" Dakota said grinning at Tyler.
"Tyler?" Asked a member of the Philadelphia Police Service.
"He's tied up right now!" Dakota said with a huge smile and a wink, closing the
phone and then throwing it as hard as he could into the wall. The phone burst
into more than thirty pieces.
"What was on that DVD?" Tyler asked.
"You really don't know?" Dakota asked.
"I really don't know." Tyler said.
"My grandfather has been using me for years now. Like he used my father before
he died," Dakota said thoughtfully and then sat down on his cot.
"I'm sorry Dakota. I really didn't know. If I had watched it I would have given
it to the police. I can understand why you hate me and you are right. I'm sorry
I let you down but I just didn't know," Tyler said with a tear running down his
face. Dakota watched Tyler carefully. He wasn't sure if it was real or an Oscar
winning performance. More tears began to flow from Tyler's eyes.
"Why didn't you give it to the police yourself?" Tyler yelled at Dakota.
Dakota stared at the floor in silence and his own tears began to flow.
"He's all I have after my father committed suicide," Dakota said.
"I'm sorry," Tyler said softly.
"SHUT UP! SHUT THE FUCK UP!" Dakota yelled grabbing the knife and moving back in
front of Tyler's face.
Dean Thompson walked over towards the vehicle and when he saw the red Jeep he
looked down at the new tires on the back and knew exactly whom it belonged to.
He turn towards the barn to see light coming through the two windows in the
tunnel. "SHIT!" he yelled and hurried towards the barn.
Danny, Derek, and Cody made their way up the driveway staying close the hedges.
"Look!" Danny yelled.
"Shush, Danny!" Derek said.
"It's Tyler's Jeep!" Danny said quietly.
Derek flipped open his phone and dialed Gus. "Gus?" Derek whispered.
"Derek? Why are you whispering?" Gus asked.
"We found Tyler's Jeep. It's hidden inside Dean Thompson's estate! Call the
police!" Derek said.
"They should already be there by now Derek! Get out of there before you get
hurt!" Gus said and the line went dead.
"Turn your phones off, guys. We don't want any extra noise!" Derek said.
Dean Thompson entered the barn and saw the light coming up from the tunnel
through the staircase down.
"Look!" Ryan said. "All those police cars! Let's go!" He yelled and all three of
them began running towards the Thompson barn.
Derek, Danny, and Cody turned around when they heard the arrival of several
police cars. Derek tossed his hockey stick away. Danny and Cody looked at each
other and shook their heads.
Dean Thompson went over to a cabinet and unlocked it. He very quietly removed a
rifle and loaded it.
The S.W.A.T. team was up and over the fence almost as fast as Danny. Passing
guns and night vision goggles through the iron bars. The police heard the sound
of five boys running towards them and one of the officers ran up to stop them
from coming any closer.
Ryan quickly explained that odds where likely that Derek, Danny, and Cody were
also in there trying to rescue Tyler.
"Captain!" The officer yelled. "We've got another problem!" The Captain came
over to talk with the boys.
"Have any of them got cell phones?" The Captain asked.
"I've Cody's number on my speed dial," Ryan said and clicked send. "His phone is
turned off."
The Captain took his microphone that was attached to his vest and talked quietly
to his team on the ground.
"I've got them in sight!" One of the S.W.A.T. members said. "Three of them just
entered the barn in the back."
Another member of the team radioed in that there are lights on in a tunnel and
it is shining through two windows. "Get a shooter set up at each of those
windows!"
"You three go in through the front of the house and make sure it is secure!" The
Captain ordered! The rest of you head to the back of the barn!
Dean Thompson turned the corner at the bottom of the stairs and moved towards
Dakota's room. He heard voices and approached silently to listen in on the
conversation.
"No more talking guys!" Derek whispered as he opened the barn door. "Not a peep,
not a sound!" Danny and Cody nodded as they readied their hockey sticks.
Linda threw on her nightgown and hurried into Luke's bedroom. She sat down on
his bed and touched his back. Luke shuddered from the touch.
"Honey?" Linda said. Luke turned around, sat up, and flung his arms around his
mother.
"I don't want Tyler to die," Luke said as gasped for air from chocking on tears.
"We can't think that way, Luke," Linda said. "We have to hope and pray that God
will take care of him."
"Why does everything bad happen to Ty? He's so good to us!" Luke said.
"I know honey. Life isn't fair," Linda said.
"Why would anyone want to hurt Tyler?" Luke asked as he backed away from his
mother's arm and sat on her lap.
"In the case of a kidnapping the person is usually held hostage and some demands
are made. This will give the police time to find him!" Linda lied, knowing full
well that Dakota wouldn't be making any demands.
"He can have all of my money!" Luke said.
"He can have all of my money too!" Linda said pulling Luke back into her arms
and rubbing his back. "Is Casey back yet?" She asked.
"No, he's still at his grandmother's. He said they might have to stay the
night," Luke told his Mom.
Larry searched the house and the garage looking for Kyle. He knew that he hadn't
gone out the front door or else he would have heard him. Checking the coat rack
at the front door he saw that Kyle's ski jacket was missing. He headed back to
the garage to check the rear door that led to the backyard. Larry walked around
to the side of the house checking if Kyle was up in Derek's favourite hiding
spot in the tree but he wasn't.
Larry came back inside and closed the door. "Ah hah!" Larry said grinning and
walked around behind the two Vans.
'Let's see now...' Larry said to himself. 'Derek took my Van to bring Tyler home
at Christmas so he must be smart enough to be in Linda's Van!'
Larry crept over to Linda's Van and popped the back door open. There sat Kyle
snuggled up with tears running down his face. Larry reached in with open arms
and Kyle grabbed hold and let his tears flow. Larry remained quiet while Kyle
wailed, screamed, and trembled.
When Kyle seemed almost cried out Larry said, "Let's go inside. It's warmer in
there!"
"NO!" Kyle said and began crying again as he hung on to Larry.
"If Derek calls with news about Tyler don't you want to be there?" Larry said
and Kyle pondered the idea and finally nodded in agreement. Larry closed the Van
rear door and took Kyle's hand. He squeezed it three times and Kyle looked up
and squeezed it back.
"How did you know?" Kyle asked as he wiped his tears.
"The Tyler effect spreads far and wide Kyle... far and wide!" Larry said without
looking at him.
They both removed their coats and Larry asked, "Where do you want to talk?"
"I don't want to talk about it, Dad," Kyle said.
"I think you do, but that is up to you. I know you love Tyler and I know there
is something else going on between the two of you," Larry said and Kyle
twitched.
"That just confirmed it! I'll be in the living room if you want to talk. If you
feel the need to leave the house please be respectful enough to tell me you are
leaving, where you are going, and when you will be back," Larry asked and kissed
the top of Kyle's head. Larry walked into the living room leaving Kyle standing
at the front door.
Kyle watched his Dad sit down on the sofa and simply stare off into the
distance.
Kyle leaned up against one of the French doors leading into the living room and
said, "I did something really bad." Larry turned to see Kyle standing there.
Larry tilted his head to the right as a sign to tell Kyle to come in and sit
down beside him. Kyle slowly entered and walked around the coffee table to sit
down beside Larry. Larry extended his right arm across the sofa and allowed it
to fall down around Kyle and pull him in.
They both sat in silence for a few moments and Larry said, "Do you think Tyler
loves you like you were his blood brother?"
"Yes." Kyle said.
"Good! I was afraid you would shrug your shoulders like you always do." Larry
said and Kyle looked up at him. "You don't need to tell me what you did Kyle. I
know you are hurting inside and you probably said something that you wished you
hadn't," Larry began.
"Actually no, but you're in the right area," Kyle said softly.
"You are to Tyler what you are to me. We both love you unconditionally Kyle.
Through good and bad times we still love you. If you told Tyler that you never
wanted to see him again I still don't think that would change how he feels about
you. He's probably hurting over it because he does truly love you but you can't
break him that easily," Larry said twisting sideways and pulling Kyle back into
his chest.
"How did you know that was what I said?" Kyle asked.
"When you're King you need to know these things," Larry teased and Kyle rolled
his eyes.
"I'm going to let you in on a little secret that parents never tell their 14
year olds!" Larry said. "When we scold you for doing something wrong we always
tell you that you're not acting your age and you should be acting like an adult!
The truth is you are acting like a 14 year old and we really know that inside.
I'm not saying that whatever you did is okay but coming from the point of view
of someone my age you can rest assured that it's not a surprise and doesn't
change how much we love you. I'm sure Tyler realizes that as well," Larry said
and Kyle took his Dad's right hand in his and squeezed it three times.
"Thanks Kyle. I need to hear that a lot more than you do!" Larry said kissing
the top of Kyle's head.
"Dad? Would you trust me with something?" Kyle asked.
"You can't drive the Van," Larry joked and Kyle ignored it. "Try me?" Larry
asked.
"Would you tell me the truth about what is happening with Tyler's kidnapping?"
Kyle asked.
"Right now I wish you would start acting like a 14 year old and stop asking
adult questions! Okay, here is what we know." Larry said. "All we know is that
Tyler has been kidnapped and they are pretty sure it is a former student named
Dakota Thompson whose grandfather happens to be the Dean of Drexel University!
Now what is really of great concern and makes things look very bad for Tyler is
that your mother and I know much more to the history of this," Larry said and
Kyle turned and looked up at him.
"Do you really want to hear this?" Larry asked and Kyle nodded.
"I need to know this, Dad, and before you say anything I know that Luke and
Casey can't know about it," Kyle said and Larry smiled.
"Fine... back in October, before Derek and Tyler got together, Dakota was the
captain of Tyler's hockey team. From day one they didn't get along. Things got
so bad that Dakota took a knife and flattened two of Tyler's tires on his Jeep.
They got into some sort of a fight on the bus coming home... or at least tried
to! I don't have all of the details but Dakota had a knife on him. No one knows
for sure if he planned to use it on Tyler at the time. Dakota ran what Tyler
called a posse! He had a group of his team mates under his total control and
that included Cody and maybe you've heard of Ryan?" Larry said and Kyle nodded.
"The things that Dakota did were bad enough for Cody and Ryan to go into therapy
as Cody mentioned at the dinner table on Wednesday night," Larry said and Kyle
nodded.
"Tonight they caught video footage of a masked man holding the exact same knife
as Dakota had forcing Tyler into his Jeep and then they drove off," Larry said.
"What does he want? Money?" Kyle asked.
"We don't know but I think you need to begin to prepare yourself for bad news,
Kyle. Dakota is the type of person that doesn't need money - he will want
revenge," Larry said.
"You mean...," Kyle began.
"He'll want Tyler dead," Larry said and Kyle turned and leaped on Larry as the
tears again flowed.
"You don't know what it's been like!" Dakota yelled holding the knife inches
away from Tyler's throat. "Chained down here! I've been his personal sex slave
since I was 11 years old!" Tyler's eyes poured upon hearing Dakota's revelation.
"What's on the video?" Tyler asked.
"It doesn't matter!" Dakota screamed as he placed the knife up against Tyler's
neck. Tyler thought he saw a shadow in the hallway move. He needed to buy a
little more time.
"If you're going to kill me then the least you can do is tell me what was on the
video so I can beg God forgiveness for letting you down!" Tyler said with tears
flowing to match Dakota's.
"I've been secretly videotaping Grandpa for almost two years. That DVD is has
enough evidence to put the bastard in jail for ten life times!" Dakota yelled.
"I didn't have the guts to do it but I thought you would? You helped everyone
else but me. You've let me down like everyone else in my life!!!" Dakota yelled
with his spit landing on Tyler's face.
One of the shooters positioned himself on the ground outside the window. He
reported that he could see a naked teen male tied up to a pole and another male
who appeared to be threatening him and waving a knife in his face. The Captain
told him to focus on the teen with the knife and that if he felt it necessary he
was to take him out.
Derek, Danny, and Cody heard Tyler's voice. They all grinned, as they were about
to go down the stairs. A large spot light flashed on the three of them and they
froze in shock. Another spotlight came on them from behind. One member of the
S.W.A.T. whispered 'Cody' and they turned around to look. He shone the
flashlight on himself and signalled them to come over quietly. All three crept
silently towards him.
As Dakota turned the knife to get a clean cut across Tyler's throat he looked
into Tyler's eyes. Tears flowed equally for both of them.
"That'll be enough, Dakota!" Dean Thompson said and Dakota turned around
dropping the knife on the floor.
"Grandpa? Thank God you're home! Tyler Peel was trying to kill me and I captured
him!" Dakota pleaded.
"Capt'n? We got a third party in there. I can't get a clear shot at the one
holding the knife. There's an old man and he appears to be holding a rifle or
shotgun!" The shooter said.
"Get the keys and unlock him!" Grandpa said holding his gun pointed at Tyler.
"But, Grandpa?" Dakota protested.
"DON'T TALK BACK TO ME!" Grandpa yelled and Dakota began to shake and stutter.
"Yesssss, Sir," Dakota said grabbing the keys. Tyler observed Dakota
transforming into a scared 7 year old.
One of the S.W.A.T. members quietly went down the stairs with his gun readied.
He turned the corner and slowly approached the open, lit room.
Dakota could barely get the key in he was shaking so badly. When the cuffs fell
off of his hand Tyler could barely pull his arms back around.
"Put your pants on!" Dean Thompson said to Tyler as he continued to hold the gun
pointed at him.
Dean Thompson looked around the small room. He knew the sound of a gunshot would
finish off what was left of his hearing. He slowly began backing out of the room
just enough that his body was in the hallway. He held the front of his rifle in
his left hand and his right index finger was on the trigger. Raising his right
arm up high he cocked the rifle.
The S.W.A.T. team member crouched down less than ten feet away in a shadow and
raised his weapon pointing it at Dean Thompson's upper arm.
Derek, Danny and Cody crotched down about twenty feet away from the staircase.
They couldn't make out what was being said but they could hear voices.
"Now step away, Dakota!" Grandpa ordered and Dakota moved about three feet away
ending up next to his cot.
"You've caused me enough trouble, son!" Dean Thompson said, and Tyler began to
shake uncontrollably.
Dean Thompson turned and quickly pointed the rifle at Dakota.
"Grandpa, no!!!!" Dakota yelled in shock.
Tyler and the S.W.A.T. team member could see Dean Thompson's finger moving on
the trigger.
"NOOOOOOOOOOO!" Tyler screamed and dove in front of Dakota trying to knock him
down as two shots where fired. Derek jumped up and Danny dove on top of him
knocking him down to the floor.
Derek screamed and cried out. Danny forcibly covered Derek's mouth.
A S.W.A.T. member waited a bit and listened for any noise. He slowly approached
the door into Dakota's room. Dean Thompson's legs lay in the hallway and the
rest of his body was face down inside the bedroom. He stopped shy of entering
and peaked around the corner. There lay three people on the floor and a pool of
blood.
To be continued...
