Chapter 14

PLAYED WITH DIGNITY

By the time the end of the 3^nd year was coming to a close, Logan and Calvin were living together in their own townhouse in Greenwich village.

They had made numerous friends, both black and white and life was good.

They were in sound shape financially and they pooled their incomes in a joint bank account.  Gay marriage was now legal and accepted in New York State, so in the spring of 2018 they did what everybody said shouldn’t be done. They got married.

Logan was a pillar of loyalty and strength, and he lived every day loving his soul mate.  Calvin was filled with devotion and love for one man – Logan.

There were no misgivings for what they accomplished or who they were.  In truth, they were academy winners of gay life.

Calvin laid day dreaming on their neatly made bed, starring out the window at the blue sky.

“What are you thinking about?”  Said Logan cuddling next to him.                

“I think we are so blessed that I don’t understand it, until I look at other gay couples.”

“It’s not what you take; it’s what you give. I love you Cal, you give me a reason to exist and we’ll go on forever”

“Yeah, forever, I like how that sounds” mumbled Calvin.

“Me too sweetheart – me too.”
