Originally written in the mid-1990's, the following became what is known as a "Guided Meditation" which I used weekly in classroom settings and also as Saturday night "sessions" on a Chat Room on the Internet for about three years.  On the Internet, I was known as "The Falcon of Shangri-Lah" and my friends called me "Falc" or "Falcon".  Those were some of the happiest days of my life.  And I would like to share them with known and unknown friends on the Tickie Stories Website.

A big "Thank you" to all who will take the time to read this.  May it help you to find happiness and peace in the turbulent society we live in today.

In the United States of America, whether your religious affiliation is Christian (78.5%), Unaffiliated (16.1%), Jewish (1.7%), Buddhist (0.7%), Muslim (0.6%), Hindu (0.4%), or Other (2.0%) [according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religion_in_the_United_States as of 18 September 2011], there should be nothing in this that contradicts your personal convictions.  As a matter of fact, this COULD help to make each of us more appreciative of the rites, rituals, and beliefs of the religious systems under which we were raised, or into which we have submerged ourselves.

If you have a program on your computer like "Text Aloud", you will probably find it more beneficial to become as relaxed as possible, either sitting in your most comfortable chair with your arms uncrossed and your feet flat on the floor, or by lying on the floor, ground, pad, bed or recliner, then have the volume of your speakers or headset soft, and listen to the following guided instructions.

One last word before we begin … a guided meditation should be approached with quietness, stillness, calm and expectation.  Its rewards cannot be achieved by listening to it at fast speed.  So, if you come here with a bit more than curiosity, slow the speed of your 'talking program' to a soothing, gentle, slow intonation.  Thank you.

— THE  CRYSTALLINE  PYRAMID —

a Guided Meditation

by the Falcon of Shangri-Lah

— Introduction —

Peace be with you, and Greetings in the Light of our Radiant One.

As an introduction to this Guided Meditation, it is well to become familiar with the different techniques employed before actually beginning the experience.

In this exercise, it is recommended either to sit facing East, or to lie with the head to the East and the feet to the West.  In so doing, we align our physical bodies with the Etheric Lines of Inspiration.

Rather than concentrating on correct posture (which of course has its own merit), it is of greater benefit to enter into Meditation with Pure Motive and to have the firm desire to attain and maintain the Highest Conscious Awareness that is possible for you RIGHT  NOW.

Three different techniques are to be employed in this Guided Meditation.

The first is a simple, easy breathing exercise designed to fill the body, the entire body, every cell of the body with Light.

The second surrounds your being in the Light and re-activates the chakras into whirling vortices of energy, which is their natural function.

And the third takes you to a place of serene beauty and peace, surrounded by Nature in all her magnificence.  You will be guided up a Crystal Pyramid, and at the top, you will create your place of solitude, your place of peace, your place of healing, of learning, of worship, your place of Conscious Oneness with the Loving Father-Mother-Principle.

Then, rather than remaining in your blissful place, you will return to physical consciousness, totally aware of all you have experienced, and filled with the desire to share with others and to permit the Father-Mother-Principle continually to work through you.

And before we begin, let me just say that I know that some of you will vividly be able to follow these guided techniques through your creative faculty of visualization — you will be able to 'see' the experiences.  While some of you have a more highly developed 'feeling' ability, others of you have a greater degree of 'knowingness'.

Whether you 'see', 'feel', or intuitively 'sense' things, use whatever YOU have developed, in order more fully to benefit from this guided experience.

For sake of brevity in the following exercises, I shall use a singular directive such as 'see', 'feel', 'visualize', etc., but I would ask that you simply RELAX, LET GO, become quietly receptive to the words, and let the Divine Flame within you Flow and take you on its Wave of Inspiration to your Highest Good, Right Now!

Just one last thought before beginning:  "As you expect, so you direct."  Let your expectations be great, and direct your receptive consciousness to take you to your expected results.  The rewards are there for the mere acceptance.

And now — let us begin.

— Breathing  With  Light —

Sitting or lying quietly where you are, visualize or imagine the air around you to be filled with vibrant, sparkling points of Light — silver Light, golden Light, white Light, healthful, peaceful, harmonious Light, floating all about you.

Now, slowly through your nose, breathe deeply of this loving Light, and see your lungs filled with this Light.  As you gently and slowly exhale through your mouth, see the exhaled breath filled with impurities and negative energies which are now leaving you.

Breathe in deeply again, and see the inflowing points of Light being absorbed into your blood stream and carried throughout your body.  Gently and slowly exhaling through your mouth, you see more impurities and more negative energies withdrawing from your Light, for they can exist only in darkness, and you are now becoming filled with Light.

Breathe in deeply of the points of Light a third time, and as they travel to every cell of your body, see each cell become luminous, giving forth its own Light.  Let your whole being be filled with Light, with Love, and with Life.  Exhale gently and slowly, and resume your normal breathing patterns.

Now, direct your attention to your heart, and there you will see a single cell which contains a pulsating flame, a living spark of Divine Life.  This is the center of your being, and it maintains perfect balance in your life, if you but acknowledge it.

Now direct the flame within your heart to expand and fill the entire heart muscle, A loving warmth immediately pervades the chest cavity.

Now direct the flame to expand more, and to fill your entire physical body with a joyous warmth of total relaxation, of perfect health, and of a state of well-beingness.

Once again, direct the flame to expand ever farther to encase, surround, and enfold your body with balanced peace and harmony which touches and blesses all who pass within your environment.

You are now very peaceful, harmoniously alive in thought and bodily functions, and you are now a radiant, loving Child of Light.

— Reactivating  the  Chakras —

As the Flame-Light increases in brightness and ever-expands to enfold in Peace and Harmony all that it touches, see it attracting a ray of heavenly Light from on High, which descends and completely surrounds you.  Feel its soothing effect as it enwraps your entire body from your head to your toes.

Now sense a tingling sensation at the base of the spine as the Sacral Chakra begins whirling 'round and around, blessing and renewing your physical vitality with its beautiful light in shades of RED.  This is the true Fountain of Youth, and know that its whirling action, when coupled with all the lights of the other chakras, renews you and helps to make you strong and eternally youthful.

A little farther up the spine, you notice a tingling sensation coming from the Spleen Chakra.  Whirling 'round and around, it blesses and renews your Intuitive faculties with its beautiful light in shades of ORANGE.  Know that its whirling action, when coupled with all the lights of the other chakras, renews your intuitive abilities, allowing you correctly to interpret influences from beyond the physical plane.

Still a little farther up the spine, you notice a tingling sensation coming from the Solar Plexus Chakra.  Whirling 'round and around, it blesses and renews your Emotional Sensitivity with its beautiful light in Shades of YELLOW.  Know that its whirling action, when coupled with all the lights of the other chakras, renews your sensitivity, and allows you fully to enjoy and respond to positive emotions, and know that it will repel all negative emotions when activated and called upon.

Yet a little farther up the spine, you notice a tingling sensation coming from the Heart Chakra.  Whirling 'round and around, it blesses and renews your growth and healing powers with its beautiful light in shades of GREEN.  Know that its whirling action, when coupled with all the lights of the other chakras, renews your powers to heal yourself and to heal your loved ones.

A little farther up the spine, you notice a tingling sensation coming from the Throat Chakra.  Whirling 'round and around, it blesses and renews your power of the spoken word with its beautiful light in shades of BLUE.  Know that its whirling action, when coupled with all the lights of the other chakras, renews your power to speak aloud and to have your command externalized immediately.

Now, your attention is drawn to a tingling sensation within the brain directly behind the brow of the forehead and a little above and behind the eyes.  This is the Third Eye Chakra.  Whirling 'round and around, it blesses and renews your clairvoyant abilities with its beautiful light in shades of INDIGO — that's darkish blue through grayish purple.  Know that it's whirling action, when coupled with all the lights of the other chakras, renews your abilities to see and hear at a distance, even into the realms beyond the physical.

And now, your focus of attention is drawn to a tingling sensation at the very top of your head.  This is the Crown Chakra.  Whirling 'round and around, it blesses and renews your Knowingness with its beautiful light in shades of Violet.  Know that its whirling action, when coupled with all the lights of the other chakras, renews your ability to perceive pure truth from the fountain-head of Truth and Knowledge — the Father-Mother-Principle.

By following these directives, you have obeyed the Law to "Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind…", and no matter what age you ascribe to your physical body, you realize that you ARE and always HAVE BEEN a shining, radiant Child of the Most High. 

— The Crystal Pyramid —

And now, as the Violet whirling Light of Truth and Knowledge increases in brightness and ever-expands to enfold in All-Knowingness all that it touches, let yourself bask in the ray of heavenly Light shining down on you.  Enjoy the Peace and Harmony 'round about you, and gently, slowly, see yourself moving to a serenely beautiful place, such as a spring-time meadow, in the early morning.

You are there … now.

Off in the distance, the spray from a mighty waterfall catches the rays of the sun and reflects back to you a shimmering, radiant rainbow.  Each end of the rainbow seems to dance upon the surface of a crystal-clear, sparkling blue lake, in which you see the reflection of the azure sky with fleecy white clouds above.

Oh, what a beautiful place this is.

A movement off to the side catches your attention, and you see a doe tenderly nudging her fawn to its morning meal.  Slowly, so as to keep from frightening the deer, you lie down in the cool, green grass of the meadow, just to take in all the beauty of the place.

Notice the air – so fresh and clean and pure, carrying with it the perfumes of the still dew-damp wild flowers growing abundantly everywhere.

A gentle breeze brushes against your face, and the swaying flowers loose their glistening dew-drops so as to stretch and face the warmth and light of the morning sun.

The call of one bird to another draws your attention to a tall, stately dark blue-green Spruce tree.  From its branches a beautiful Golden Eagle takes flight across the sky, and soon disappears beyond range of vision toward a high, cloud-enshrouded crystalline Pyramid.  What a majestic, shimmering Pyramid it is!  Something within urges you to go and discover for yourself what lies hidden behind the cloak of clouds.

You arise from where you were, and as soon as you take the first step toward the Pyramid, behold!  You are there at the foot of the Pyramid … now.

(Piano:  repetitive up-and-down scales of "C")

You immediately discover that this Pyramid is different from any other you have ever seen or imagined, and yet, from deep within you comes the knowingness of familiarity with this place.

The Pyramid itself is aglow with various colors radiating from the different levels, with each level emitting its own color, and all the colors fusing together into a radiant, WHITE aura of Love and Understanding and of Protection.

The base of the Pyramid, which is really the first level, seems to be on fire with its flashes of RED flame-light.  But the flame-light is cool, and you cautiously approach this strange and marvelous thing.  You reach out and touch the base of the Pyramid.  It's solid!  It's a crystal!  It's a gigantic solid Ruby crystal!  Immediately comes to mind the idea:  "I AM right now truly ready to begin my ascent into higher conscious awareness."

You look to one side and then the other along the wall of the base, and notice some steps cut into the Ruby crystal itself, leading up to the next level.

As you slowly, in awe, cautiously climb the steps upward, the vibrant flame-light gradually changes to REDDISH-ORANGE.  This new reddish-orange flame-light is also cool and comfortable, and so, you reach the top step and onto the top of the Ruby crystal below.

Directly in front of you a short distance away, is the base wall of the second level.  The reddish-orange flame-light being emitted here is intense, and slowly you approach the wall.  You reach out and touch it.  It, too, is crystal, a solid reddish-orange Padparadscha Sapphire!  Oh, so rare and so beautiful!  Immediately comes to mind a new idea:  "I HAVE deep within me the right understanding of how correctly to use and control physical matter."

While pondering this new idea, you look from side to side and notice some more steps cut into the reddish-orange crystal itself, leading up to the third level.

As you, still in awe, climb the steps upward, the vibrant flame-light gradually changes to the purest orange you have ever seen.  This orange flame-light is also cool and comfortable, and so, with calmness, you reach the top step and onto the top of the reddish-orange crystal.

Directly in front of you a short distance away, is the base wall of the next level.  The ORANGE flame-light being emitted here is vibrant and stimulating, yet also cool and comfortable.  With more assuredness than before, you approach the wall and as you touch it, you realize that it is a solid crystal of Carnelian of the purest quality.  Immediately comes to mind the idea:  "I THINK of the great work ahead of me — that of unifying body and soul — that of blending knowledge and wisdom."

As you bask in the cool warmth of the orange flame-light and think of the great work ahead of you, you notice that the air around you is becoming finer, cleaner, and purer.  You're becoming more and more relaxed, the higher up the Pyramid you go.  Eagerly you search for and find the expected steps leading up to the next level.

As you climb them, the flame-light anticipatedly changes to a living, YELLOW-ORANGE, and with confidence, you approach the wall of the fourth level, knowing it to be composed of a single magnificent Topaz crystal.  You reach out to touch it, and immediately comes to mind the idea:  "I FEEL intuitively that I am One with all Humanity, One with all of Creation, and One with the Creator."

In a state of peaceful excitement, you locate the steps leading to the next level, and as you go up them, the flame-light changes — this time to the clearest, purest YELLOW you've ever beheld.  Without hesitation, you walk over to the crystal wall of clear yellow Citrine, and with love in your heart, you reach out and touch it.  Immediately comes to mind another idea:  "I WILL into being that the little personality be subdued and begins to allow the Divine Individuality to flow through my entire being."

Glancing about, your attention is drawn to a shinning silver inlay embedded in the top of the Topaz crystal upon which you stand.  The inlay depicts the four arms of a compass needle, with each arm pointing to one of the cardinal directions.  You determine from its indications that your adventure on this Pyramid has been upward and southward — from the low emotional world, up into the realms of perfected oneness.

Lovingly and thankfully, you touch your fingertips to your lips, kneel down, and press your fingertips to the center of the inlayed design.  You become aware of a movement in front of you, and as you stand up again, you see an opening becoming larger and larger in the wall of Citrine crystal.  When it is large enough for you to walk through comfortable, it ceased to open farther.

You enter into the citrine opening only to find a passageway, tunnel-like, gradually sloping downward into the crystalline Pyramid itself.  Intrigued by the beauty within, you begin your descent down the tunneled passageway.  A beautiful pink-hued golden light, irradiated by the living crystal, pervades the very air you breathe.  You feel more alive than ever before, and you feel as if you are breathing the very essence of Life.

But you also notice that the deeper you go into the crystalline Pyramid, the heavier you become.  Deeper and heavier.  Deeper and heavier.

The descending incline now levels off, and, a few feet away, you notice an ascending stairway;  to the left, you also notice another sloping passageway, descending farther into the depths.  At this point, you have a choice to make — will you continue the easy, though heavy, descent?  Or will you continue on, ever-upward?

Remembering the ideas which have come to you at each different crystalline level, you choose to take control and to allow the Divine Individuality to flow through your entire being.

Having chosen to continue on, you take the first step upward, and already find the heaviness beginning to drop away.  At the second step, you're becoming lighter still, and with the third step, you feel absolutely free of any heaviness.

(Flute:  repetitive modulating scale of "F" from lower note to higher)

You seem to be swiftly whisked through the Citrine level by some unknown energy, on up into the next level, a Peridot crystal.  You rest, and bask in this beautifully cool YELLOWISH-GREEN flame-light.  You hear your own inner voice speaking to you, and it says, "I ANALYZE my life, and consciously renew all my lower energies by continuing onward in this Light.

Immediately, upon hearing these words from your own inner voice, the unknown energy force again embraces you and carries you up the stairway into the very heart of the crystalline Pyramid.  As you enter the heart chamber, you become aware that this level is composes of a pure, flawless Emerald crystal.  The truest of scintillating GREEN colors fills you with a sense of awe and of wonder, of peace and of love, and of harmony within and without.  You think of all that lies behind you, and of the great expectations ahead of you.  Here in the very center of the Pyramid, your inner voice speaks to you again, and says, "I BALANCE my energies with compassionate understanding for the highest and the lowest, the lofty and the insignificant."

And in this awareness you are effortlessly lifted up the stairway into the next level, a BLUE-GREEN Aquamarine crystal.  The passageway into the chamber here is small, and so, you bow down, as in reverence, and pass through the doorway.

Upon entering this chamber, you gaze to the right in wonderment upon a totally unexpected thing — a slab of opalescent BLUE-GREEN granite about seven feet long, three feet wide, and two-and-a-half feet high.  With closer observation, you are fascinated to find that the top of the granite has been hollowed out in a manner which would perfectly and comfortable fit every contour of your body. How inviting it looks!  Do you dare to try it out?  Yes!

As you lift yourself onto the top of the granite, you note that it is aligned north and south, with the hollow for the head to the north.

Slowly and carefully, you ease yourself into every contour, surprised at the exquisite comfort derived from the stone's embrace.  All is peaceful and quiet, and you feel you could fall into a deep, deep slumber.

Your own inner voice speaks once again, and says, "I DESIRE to transmute my base energies by invoking the Transmuting Violet Flame, and I DESIRE to rise to the higher dimensions.

Suddenly, you notice a point of Light on the ceiling above you.  It expands and becomes a swirling vortex of iridescent points of Light.  It descends and completely surrounds you and the granite.  This is the unknown energy force — the beautiful, loving force of Light.

A part of you seems to be rising above the body.  Oh, FREE at last!  Quickly you rise up within the iridescent swirling vortex of Light into the next level of the Pyramid.  This level, you know to be the refined essence of beautiful BLUE Sapphire  crystal.  As you enter the heart of the Sapphire, you hear these words, "I ASPIRE to gain complete control of all my thoughts, and in so doing, I enter the Great Silence."

After a moment, the vortex of Light carries you up to the next level, into the pure essence of BLUE-VIOLET Tourmaline.  And you hear, "I USE the higher aspects of mind, soul, and body to help up-lift all humanity."

(Oboe:  repetitive modulating scale of "A Sharp")

Quickly you are carried up into the next level, into the pure essence of VIOLET Amethyst, and you hear, "I KNOW that I can now master the lower nature and be of service to all my brothers and sisters."

(Oboe:  repetitive modulating scale of "B")

Feeling freer than ever before, you quickly rise into the topmost level of the Pyramid, into the pure essence of REDDISH-VIOLET Alexandrite, and you hear, "I BELIEVE that all will eventually be raised into this Light of Wisdom, of Truth, and of Love."

(Oboe:  repetitive modulating scale of "High C")

Immediately you find you have taken the form of a living Flame, rising ever-higher above the top of the crystalline Pyramid of Life.  You are of the purest essence of crystal, like a CLEAR, perfect, Diamond, with every facet of your being, a Blessing, and shining forth in Peace and Harmony and Love to all.

(No music)

"Thank you, Father, for this awakening experience, for I now know that I am truly One with you.  As I return to the physical form, may your Angels always be with me and illumine my way.  I HAVE returned Home.  I love you, Father."

(Simultaneous sound of two sets of Finger-cymbals [a pipe chime and hammer would also work] clanging together, one clang until the sound fades out — about three seconds — for a total of twelve clangs or chimes)

After a time of blissful peace, you smile and, bringing your smile and peace with you to share with others, you re-enter the top of the Pyramid and come down through each individual level, giving thanks for each one.

Down through the Alexandrite.

The Amethyst.

(Organ:  "A" Chord)

The Tourmaline.

(Organ:  "A Flat" Chord)

The Sapphire.

(Organ:  "G" Chord)

And into the Aquamarine, where you re-enter the body, now wonderfully relaxed and rested, and feeling perfect in every way.  You now rise out of the granite mold, swing your feet over the side, and place them on the blue-green floor.  See yourself standing and stretching.

Now go over to the low doorway, bow, and begin going down the stairway, down through the Emerald heart center of the Pyramid.

(Organ:  "F" Chord)

Down through the Peridot.

(Organ:  "E Minor" Chord)

And down through the Citrine, to the landing where you chose to continue on, ever-upward.  Know here, that your loving super-consciousness is directing your life as you are expecting to unfold more fully.  Now walk up the sloped passageway and out through the opening into the sunlight.

The opening silently closes behind you, and from the indications of the inlayed design, you now know that you're going down into the world of emotional activity.  Now, thankfully, go down the Citrine steps.

Down the Topaz steps.

And down the Carnelian steps.  Know here, that your memory is perfect, and that your recall is exact.

Continue on down the Padparadscha (reddish-orange) steps as you take a deep, deep breath, filling your lungs with air and your body with energy and vitality.

Now, continue on down the Ruby steps, and know that your eyes are clear, cool, and comfortable, and you're feeling absolutely perfect in every way.

Now give thanks for the experience, and as you walk back into your meadow, you know that you have completely returned to perfect body-consciousness, fully awake and alert, feeling fine;  and with a loving, peaceful smile on your face, you are here, NOW!

May Peace always be with you and yours.
