Chapter 11
12

Undawa smiled to Ron and Murray and asked, “To what do I owe this pleasure of seeing the two of you tonight?”

Once they were safely in the suite, Murray advanced on Undawa and taking him in his arms he said, “Ron would like to join with us tonight.”

Undawa raised his eye brows and looked at Ron, “Is this true?”

Ron cleared his throat and said, “Yes, after the rapport session, I have felt a need to be with you two.”

Undawa smiled and gave Murray a kiss, then slipped out of Murray’s arms and walked toward Ron with open arms. “Come and give me a kiss.”

After exchanging a passionate kiss with Ron, Undawa found he was quite flustered. In order to regain his equilibrium he moved to the buffet asking if anyone wanted to join him in a glass of wine. Hearing both men consent, he poured three glasses of a dark red pinot noir and handed the glasses to the men. Taking his own glass, he glanced at the men, held his glass in a toast position and said, “Here is to a blossoming relationship,” and downed his wine in one swallow.

He then asked the school system to play Handel’s Water Music throughout the suite and poured another glass of wine. Seeing that his guests also needed top-ups, he did so and opened another bottle to breathe.

He told the other men that he needed to take a shower and invited anyone who felt the same to join him in the bathroom. Murray and Ron smiled at each other and followed Undawa into his large shower area. Quickly disrobing, they all entered the shower, once Undawa had set the proper temperature. He had activated the rain shower heads that would send down a relaxingly warm rain on the three men as they grouped together and started using face cloths and soap on each other. Ron and Murray started with Undawa and soon had cleaned every each of his skin, giving him a pounding boner. He and Ron then worked on Murray, receiving the same effect. Then Murray and Undawa started working on Ron’s body. He stood six feet two inches and had an eleven inch cock and massive balls. Undawa whispered in Ron’s ear that he wanted that eleven inches shoved up is rectum.

Once the men had finished in the shower, they dried each other with thick towels and went into the bedroom. Undawa got up on his hands and knees in the centre of the bed. He conjured lubricant a long way up his love tunnel and smothered over Ron’s cock. Looking over his shoulder he saw that Ron had a big smile on his face and was advancing towards the winking rosebud that was now very visible. Murray was on the bed, working his way under Undawa to enjoy a great sixty-nine and watch Ron’s massive meat move in and out of Undawa’s hole.

Undawa grunted when Ron pushed his man-meat at this willing anus, gasped as it entered and almost whined as it began its journey in and past the magic button that was stroked for the entire length of his massive organ. Murray quickly took Undawa’s wonderfully shaped cock into his mouth as it was producing copious amounts of precum and Murray did not want to miss out on the nectar this time. Undawa was having a chow-down on Murray’s full pelvic area, taking each ball in turn into his mouth, laving each with his tongue. Then he progressed up Murray’s massive meat, remembering the last time it was stretching his hole. He started licking around the glans and sticking the tip of his tongue in between the cock lips then around the circumcision ring, which had Murray’s body twitching and then taking the whole thing in one breath down to the root. Murray’s moans and groans were setting up quite a vibration on Undawa’s cock and could also be felt by Ron’s monster as it continued to plough its way in and out of Undawa’s hot love channel. Undawa started the link and quick as a wink had all three men in a deep rapport. He called out to TA, who monitored the rapport and insured it did not exceed its boundaries.

With the rapport, each man felt what each was doing and it was breath-taking in its wonder. The love that started to flow soon had all three men basking in its splendour as they started to ride the wave that would take them to the pinnacle of their love-making and promised all a massive orgasm. Soon, they were all dripping in sweat with their exertions and panting, moaning, groaning and in the case of Ron, screaming their way to the top. All three couldn’t take anymore and started to unload their passion into each other at the same time. Undawa’s ass was milking Ron’s meat for all it was worth trying to get every last morsel of cum out of his cock, Undawa’s mouth was doing the same to Murray’s organ, causing Murray’s toes to curl. Murray was busy taking all of Undawa’s tasty cum onto his mouth and throat, setting up a suction that reminded Undawa of a milking-machine. Ron collapsed onto Undawa’s back and started showering it with kisses, Undawa rolled to the side so that poor Murray wasn’t suddenly crushed by two men above him. Murray scooted around so that he could face Undawa’s face and started layering kisses all over him. Ron moved back a little so that Undawa was able to be on his back and was alternating kisses with Murray to cover Undawa’s face. Undawa tried, but failed to be able to reciprocate the kisses as they were coming in too fast for him to catch up. His body was also undergoing the post-orgasmic shivers that were almost as strong as his orgasm had been.

All three men fell asleep in each other’s arms.

The following morning Undawa and Murray woke to find that Ron had already left, but had left them a note stating how wonderful he felt the experience was with them and wanted a repeat as soon as possible. Undawa and Murray kissed and decided to have another go at it, so they were a little late making it to breakfast.

After breakfast, the teams assembled in the Hidden Chamber. The newer members were given their reading assignments. Undawa, Murray, Randy and Pete walked through to the recreation part of the room and sat together to discuss the creation of the transport pads. Randy and Pete explained that they required copper and silver wires, to create the boundary and inscriptions within the transportation pads. Undawa informed them that it was available in large quantities from a basement storeroom. Undawa had the men follow him from a secret stairwell within the hidden chamber into the storeroom that they required. Again he did the incantation to remove any dust from the air and surfaces of all objects in the room. It was quite a large room and held many bins of interesting items, but the men kept their minds on the job at hand and soon found the bins containing the silver and then the copper wires.

With the assistance of TA, and building a very strong rapport, they transported themselves and the materials to the first of the chambers in the roof. TA highlighted the area on the floor where the transportation pad was to be placed and the men got to work. The copper wire was used to form the boundary. They took three strands of the wire and wrapping them around each other; they formed it into a ring and placed it on the boundary. Randy led them into a rapport and used the incantations that made the copper form into one thick wire and then flatten out into a thin ring and settled into the top strata of the floor with a slight displacement of existing material. This would be taken care of at the end of the process. The men then worked three wires of silver together to form an inner ring, whose position was shown on the floor and repeated the process. They then took individual wires and began creating the magic symbols that were to be placed between the rings. These symbols indicated where they could transport to and would increase in number automatically when more transport pads were created; they also contained the magical spell that would increase the power of the transfer. They had to set up fifteen symbols to start with and left fourteen strands of silver wire in the centre of the transportation pad. The men then took the cardinal points outside the pad, linked and went into deep rapport to recite the incantation that Pete supplied them with. This resulted in the symbols being incorporated into the floor and the displaced material as evenly spread out over the whole and sunk into place leaving the floor level and without trace of the pad. Randy explained that once they had created the whole network of pads, that it would then be TA’s job to link them together through his intelligence; when the need arose, TA would activate those pads required to transport people to their destinations.

The four men completed the rest of the originally required pads by the end of the day. As the last pad was located outside Randy and Pete’s suite, the guys invited the other two in for a refreshing shower before they headed to dinner. In the shower, some horse play occurred but nothing serious; they dried off and refreshed their robes before donning them.  Then they decided to test the pads as they needed to make additions to the two attic rooms. They contacted TA to initiate the pad outside of Randy and Pete’s suite and stepped into the inner circle. They then asked TA to take them to the first attic room which they dubbed EW 1. They smoothly transitioned to the location. Undawa, with a wave of his hand created a second set of chaise longue in the exact pattern as the first set but to the south of the first set. The north bed of the second set was touching the south bed of the first set. The first set would be used by a defensive team and the second set would be used by an offensive team.

Once this was completed, Undawa began to understand that physical touching would no longer be required to link and create rapport, so he removed all the ottomans. Their powers with regards to linking and rapport were growing exponentially and soon the others would reach their stage.

They proceeded by pad to the second attic room which they dubbed EW 2. The same setup was created and the ottomans removed. They then went to the pad and requested that TA rapidly take them to each of the other destinations, in sequence, to ensure all were in place. They proceeded to pop into rooms and corridors for the next ten minutes, occasionally surprising other apprentices and or teachers and staff. Undawa mentioned to those they met that all would be explained at dinner.

When they were finished they found that they were on the pad outside of the Dining Hall, so they proceeded into the room and took their places. Undawa again suggested to Randy and Pete that their places were at the Head Table due to their accomplishments and not among the student body. Randy and Pete looked at each other and decided that Undawa was correct, so they took their original places. The Dining Hall filled quickly and there was a buzz of conversation and many wondering glances towards the Head Table. Undawa rose and signalled for silence. “We were finishing the final parts of our early-warning network today and inadvertently surprised people along the way. What we were creating was a network of teleportation pads that will take your defence and offence teams to their required destinations should the following sound be heard – TA rang the klaxons throughout the Academy – this will inform the teams and the rest of the school of danger. The team members are to make their way to the closest pad and will be transported to their destination. If you were not already in the Dining Hall the pads will transport you there. We would like all apprentices, teachers and staff to make their way here to the Dining Hall, where you will be able to create a force field to protect yourselves. There is a pad directly outside of the Dining Hall doors for transportation from any other area in the school where you see a glowing copper and silver circle on the floor. You will only see these at the time of an emergency. There may be other times that the circles show up, please do not step into them if you do not hear the klaxon as you will end up somewhere you did not want to be. TA, I think it is time that you made yourself known to the rest of the Academy. ‘Greetings, I am TA, an intelligent entity that was created with the founding of the Academy to assist the Circle of Magi and the Headmaster in matters that will become clear to you in the future. The major item was the formation of the early-warning network that will provide your teams a warning should an entity try to force its way into the Academy’s plane.’

“Now, if we could have dinner served, I’m sure we are all hungry,” requested Undawa. The kitchen staff worked diligently and soon all had food in front of them. After the meal was finished, Undawa requested that TA contact all members of the defensive/offensive teams and request that they meet in the Hidden Chamber. The pad, outside the Dining Hall, was activated and quickly deposited the sixteen members in the recreation area of the chamber.

Undawa requested that they form the tables back into one and take their appropriate seats. “Now comes the time when we determine who is on which team. We will go into rapport and search ourselves and others to find the most suitable matches for each of the four teams, this may take a while, but at least it is an exercise that we will definitely enjoy. I would like us to first try to link without physically touching as this should no longer be needed.”

Undawa commenced the link and quickly was able to pick up each individual. He then took them into rapport and started the exercise. TA joined to assist in the search and quicker than was realized, the teams were formed. The first defensive team was made up of Mage Jess Bond and apprentices Josh Beck, Anthony Buttons and Alex Higgins; Defence Two was made up of Mage Adolfo Lomez, and apprentices Elliott Goodkin, Manjit Sandhu and James Donaldson; Offensive 1 was made up of Headmaster Undawa, Mage Murray Matheson, Magus Randy Conner and Magus Peter Cormier; and last but far from least, Offensive 2 was made up of Magus Ron Armstrong and apprentices Joseph Teller, Grant Murphy and Shumata.

Undawa then directed that this was the time when the bedroom was to come into play, he asked everyone to disrobe where they stood; then make their way into the far section. Once they were all assembled in the far section, Undawa pointed out which bed would be for which team. “The exercise here is to get to know each other well, if intimacy occurs, mores the better as we will be creating our own rapports and then joining them through the centre pillar. Please lie down on the indicated bed, Defence 1 is to use the North Bed, Offence 1 to use the South Bed, Defence 2 is to use the East Bed and Offence 2 is to use the West Bed.” No further instruction was needed as each of the teams was based on their desires and aptitudes. Within seconds the rapports were established and then joined through the central pillar. TA was busy integrating all the rapports and channelling those outward to the early-warning network so that everyone and each team was keyed into their section of the web. The offensive teams were hidden under the defensive teams so that an enemy would not be aware of their capabilities.

TA found it interesting to note, that though it didn’t necessarily start out that way, by the time all were in rapport, all occupants on the beds were involved in stimulating daisy-chains. The culminating climaxes created a surge in the rapports. The power was then transferred to the web, increasing its strength by a factor of ten. There had never been a force field of such magnitude created within known history.

While the team members were coming down and cuddling together, TA transferred their robes and undergarments to their rooms and brought back fresh robes and undergarments for all except those who went commando, which were ten of them.

Unbeknownst to them all, The Darkness had been attracted by the final power surge and came to investigate what was occurring in phased time. The Darkness contained a rudimentary intelligence that informed it that within the sphere was a large population that could nourish the entity for a long time to come. The Darkness sent out tendrils to investigate the sphere and suddenly found itself enmeshed within the web.

Klaxons went off throughout the Academy; TA quickly woke the team members and activated the pad in the room. Defence 1 and Offence 1 were quickly whisked away to EW1 and Defence 2 and Offence 2 were as quickly whisked away to EW2. TA informed each individual where they should go and that they must enter rapport as quickly as possible. He had also activated the pads on every floor to transport the residents to the Dining Hall.

The teams in EW1 found that the disturbance had occurred in their half of the web and quickly requested the reinforcement of the other team’s rapport. Once full rapport was established between the four teams, EW1 went to work. Defence 1 analyzed the situation and found that it was The Darkness that was trying to get through the web. They started to send out repulsions to throw The Darkness from the web; at the same time Offence 1 struck with their battery of spells; freezing and inflaming the strands simultaneously, The Darkness started to lose its cohesion. It struggled like a multiple-armed octopus to try to break the offending strands that had ensnared it. The rudimentary brain was going into overload as suddenly shock was applied to the strands and the brain was fried, the nervous system still continued to spasmodically attack the strands until the shock overwhelmed it and it shut down. Then there was only the mass of The Darkness; they quickly joined with TA and projected a spell to run along all web lines to disintegrate the mass. TA quickly changed it from running the web lines to a wave-length and suddenly there was nothing left of The Darkness. The defensive teams quickly went to work to repair any damage done to the web, by The Darkness and soon it resembled what originally stood before. Rapport was deepened further throughout the teams and another massive charge was built up to reinforce the web as they had just done earlier that evening.

Meanwhile; the teachers were able to calm the apprentices in the Dining Hall. They divided them up into their levels and took the opportunity to teach additional parts of their levels.

TA requested from the kitchen staff sixteen energy potions and transported eight to each of the rooms. TA informed everyone that the potions were available and they each drank one, for some, marvelling at the smoke coming out of their fellow team member’s ears.

Undawa made the announcement to stand down alert and had the team members return to the chamber. Once they were there, he introduced them to the showers which were hidden behind one of the tapestries and they all frolicked like ten-year-olds in a water garden. Once the grab-ass and games were over, they grabbed towels and dried off and sought-out their clothing. They were all amazed that fresh clothing had been made available where they had originally dumped their day-clothes. Undawa made it known that they were now excused and that he was very proud of their performance in overcoming the Darkness. Everyone had kept a level head and due to the teamwork involved, those who were still in their level 5’s would graduate tomorrow morning. This announcement produced a lot of whoops, back-clapping and applause. Once they quieted down, they departed in their groups, deciding on the teacher’s suite as the one where they would celebrate and sleep the night.

Undawa gave his key to Murray and the three men made their way to Undawa’s suite while he went to the Dining Hall. Upon entering the hall, he was greeted by applause. He quickly raised his hand for silence. He informed everyone what had happened and that they were victorious in destroying The Darkness. He then explained that the level 5’s who were a part of the defence/offence in the attack were graduating with full honours in the morning. He wished everyone a good night and dismissed the room.

Undawa made his way back to his suite and was greeted with a glass of red wine. He curled up on the couch with Murray; Randy and Pete had taken the chairs. They proceeded to finish off four bottles of wine and stumbled their way to Undawa’s bed where they crashed for the rest of the night. TA called a healer to the suite the following morning to help with the hangovers that were very evident.

Chapter 12
11

Life at the Academy went on. Soon the other students were being upgraded to their new Levels. Randy and Pete began research projects that they expanded to include those who graduated.

The new material created by Li’s group, was processed and all were enjoying the almost diaphanous robes that had been produced to replace the heavy robes that they had when they arrived in phased time.

There was the occasional skirmish with the denizens of phased time, but nothing that could not be met by the combined forces of the teams. They were a homogenous unit, building the rapports deeper and deeper as they found other partners who filled a need within themselves. A few were steadfast in their relationships, but did invite others into their beds to spread the rapturous rapport throughout the teams.

The crops continued to flourish as well as the livestock. After a few years it was noted that they, the people brought in to the phased time, were not aging in the least. This was met with joy and sorrow, for they also found that babies could not be conceived by the women.

As time passed, there were no longer apprentices in the Academy as everyone eventually graduated. The teachers were their peers and much time could now be devoted to magical research and finding a way home. Teams were established as the defence teams had been, though these were made up strictly with heterosexuals. The experiences that the original teams had were shared with the new teams. Their job was to find home. They would use EW1 and EW2 for their searches.

These searches also mapped phased time, a model of which eventually was projected in the Great Hall.

All of this took time; after more than three hundred years had passed, they finally found the end of phased time and the universe was revealed.

They kept mapping and eventually after another one hundred years, the full perimeter of phased time was revealed and they were finally able to locate Acadia.

They found that a new academy had been built upon the foundations of the old and that there were massive extensions added to the new academy.

There were many farm planes that were closer to the Acadia side of phased time, and they eventually started moving the Academy closer. That began a long process for as they had stayed so long on the first farm plane, phased time was fighting their moves. Where first it had only taken the combined effort of three people plus TA to move to the first farm, it was now taking the combined effort of over three hundred plus TA to move to each of the closer farms.

Due to the strain, it was taking longer and longer for these magi to regain their energies. They had found that Magic energy was made up of the bonds between molecules in all matter. It was self replenishing, except in phased time, as there was little matter to generate the energy required.

By the five-hundredth year, they found they could move no further.

An Assembly was held in the Dining Hall, with the participation of all. Hypotheses were brought forth, examined, and sent for research to be proved, or discarded with explanation. The Assembly lasted close to fifty years; it was finally decided that they had to contact the academy on Arcadia, explain how they ended up where they were and what was needed to get them home.

What was needed to get them home was the same as what placed them there in the first place. Two Magus Class graduates with all six aspects of magic; would need to create the depth of rapport necessary for their return. Then it became the matter of how to send this information to Acadia.

One of the hypotheses that had been sent for research was to use magic to bore a hole through phased time to teleport the information into the Great Hall of the new academy.

The search was then to find what material would be sent that would withstand the pressures exerted upon it. TA was asked to lend its great store of knowledge and they found what they needed in the storerooms in the basement. First they would need a pedestal to place the information upon and second would be the material the information would be written upon, that could contain a blood sample of the Headmaster to add authenticity. They found a pedestal of magic infused marble. That was transported to the Great Hall by TA. The second item needed was found in an iridium tablet that would have the information embossed on its surface and then be magically sealed and attached to the pedestal.

A team was put together to translate the information to be embossed into the language of Magic, so there could not be any misunderstanding when it reached Acadia. Due to the amount of information to be transferred, they found that they needed to create sheets of the iridium to form a book. A team of Earth magi was put to work on this and soon had the required sheets available for the embossing. The Earth magi took each sheet and placed the written sheet above it, fusing the information in place. When all the sheets had been embossed they created a bonding on the side so that the sheets would appear as a book or tome. On the last page was embedded the blood sample from Undawa.

All magi were assembled in the Great Hall, to create concentric rings around Undawa, who stood beside the pedestal. The rapport was created and extended from ring to ring to ring, that finally brought Undawa into the fold and allowed him the ability to direct the massive energy that kept growing. There were over seven hundred souls involved in this undertaking and all were aware that this might require the gift of life-essence to achieve. All felt they were cradled in loving arms, which would be there until their end arrived.

Undawa took hold of the energy and started the bore-hole to Acadia; that resembled a worm-hole. He increased the energy output and expanded the diameter to fit the pedestal and the tome. Undawa cast his thoughts through the bore-hole and was able to quickly locate the Great Hall of the new academy. Drawing more power, he transported the pedestal and tome to the great hall and received a curious reply from the other side. The Headmaster of the new academy was present and sent his thoughts back praising them for finally being able to communicate; their wishes would be carried out. A very strong feeling of love accompanied that message, as if the entire new academy was aware and linked to project their love to their brothers and sisters.

Undawa then slowly closed the diameter of the bore-hole until there was just the residual magic trace of its existence. He ascertained that one hundred of their fellows had given their life-essence to make this happen. The grief that was shared was soon transposed to joy in their lives and their gifts to all.

The bodies were gathered, slowly lifted by loved ones, and took them to the basement. Undawa created a tomb from five unused storerooms, cladding it in marble and with shelves on the sides to hold bodies. Each of the dead was laid to rest on a shelf, and silent prayers were said. A stasis spell was cast to ensure they would be in pristine condition for later burial on Acadia, when they finally reached home.

On Acadia, in the Great Hall, The Prophesy was born. The tome was read by all teachers and the Council of Magi and was enshrined within a crystal dome. The Headmaster, at that time, included all the information that was sent into a tome that only future Headmasters would read, so that when the time came, all would be made ready.

The Prophesy became legend and was swallowed up by the passing of centuries until only the Headmasters and Council of Magi were aware that it had ever occurred. At some point, the pedestal and tome with its crystal dome, faded from existence.

In The Academy, a wake was held in the Dining Hall and not a sober head hit a pillow that night. The next morning Undawa made his way to the Dining Hall and approached the staff to find out how many were left. Out of the original staff level of one hundred and forty-six, only sixty-three remained. Undawa said that breakfast today was on him and he went into the kitchen, took an energy potion and conjured up a feast.

As the rest of the magi entered the room, they smelled this wonderful food that was set upon all the tables with the tableware already placed. Once everyone was assembled Undawa slowly rose from his place and addressed the assembly. “Through the great loss we experienced, we find that the academy is now short on staff. I would like those interested in taking a break from their research and studies, to meet with me here after we have finished breakfast. As you will note, everyone has been supplied with an energy potion as today is the beginning of a new era within these walls. We must plan to be able to pass our research and information to the new academy when we finally get there. I would like all research to be placed on hold at this time, if possible, and the information be written up in tomes that TA will make available to the head of each team. The Team leaders will assign which aspect of their research will be written by each member of their team. We have a long road ahead of us, so it is not that this information needs to be written as of yesterday. Take your time and get your facts in the right order as we will be bequeathing this information to the new academy when we finally arrive home.

After breakfast, Undawa found that close to three hundred stayed behind to offer their services as staffers of the Academy. They determined who would take over the positions which were available, and new positions were added so that no one was overworked. With the massive influx on staffers, the old staffers had them instructed in the caring for the Academy and its denizens within a short period of time. New ideas of how things could be accomplished were gratefully accepted by the old hands, as they had become complacent in their duties and were doing everything by route. It took about a week, but suddenly all were noticing that the Academy had never sparkled so much and the food had never tasted better. Because of the increased staff and lower working hours, the three hundred were able to return to their teams on usually a daily basis to assist in the compilation of their text.

In the eight-hundredth year, some of the teachers and older staffers started coming to Undawa, asking to be placed into stasis until their arrival back home. These people felt that they had contributed enough and did not have the energy required to keep up with the younger generation they had taught or served. Undawa contacted TA and asked if rooms could be made available for stasis of living persons. Undawa had to explain to TA that these people had reached the end of their endurance, but did not wish to take their own lives. Suicide was unheard of in their society. TA indicated that there were available chambers. He suggested that these rooms could be made over into the requested stasis rooms. Magical stasis was similar to mechanical stasis used on long-range ships, however, the machinery was not required, just a continued flow of air and nutrients. Undawa asked if TA could do this or if he needed to create a team for the conversion of the rooms. TA almost laughed, but not quite, as his personality had progressed substantially, but he was still unable to understand humour. TA assured Undawa that he could have the chambers available within two days. He then told Undawa to create the mock-up of the Academy and he would show him where these rooms would be. Flashing red indicated the location of each of these chambers, including one in the basement. Undawa stated that the one in the basement was out of the question as the Crypt was down there and he did not want it to be felt as a burial, just a long sleep. TA removed the flashing light from the basement and concentrated on the remaining rooms, he stated that he had the space available to put all surviving members of the community into stasis, if so required. Undawa assured TA that this would not be necessary as only a few had come forward. He asked TA to create the space for fifty people to start with and another fifty afterwards as this may create a surge in the number of people would like to take advantage of the opportunity. TA said the first fifty would be available the next day and indicated which room it would be by flashing it in purple. Undawa told AT who the people would be. The chamber was on the sixth floor and had an inner wall of windows so there would always be light in the room.

Undawa contacted those who had come forward and told them that they would be able to do this in twenty-four hours. They were all delighted. That night, at dinner, Undawa notified the rest of the population of this opportunity, but no one took him up on it. He therefore called forward those who would be placed in stasis and asked them to stand in front of the dais. There was a collective gasp from the assembly as many former students saw that their beloved teachers were part of the group. Undawa explained their reasons for wishing for the long sleep and that TA would be able to grant it the next day. He made this meal a tribute to the members who would go into the sleep to be awakened upon their return to Acadia.

Undawa had TA open the wine cellars and the last of the original wine was used for the semi-wake/retirement party the dinner turned into. Undawa constantly blessed the creators of the farm planes for their foresight to include wine grapes as a crop, and of course, those magi  who took to the vineyards with such interest that they were producing as good a wine as any he had ever experienced.

When the original Acadia wines were depleted, Undawa opened the cellars of those extraordinary wines that were created three hundred years ago. The assembled praised the magi who had created these excellent wines and continued the toasts and roasts to those who would be placed in stasis the next day.

The following morning, after the healers had healed themselves, they went quietly throughout the Academy administering to those with wine hangovers.  They were quickly followed by a team of staffers who cleaned up messes where found, so that their fellows would find their suites sparkling clean when they roused from their beds. Upon completion, the aromas of coffee and tea were whiffing their way throughout the suites, giving gentle reminders that it was time to awake.

By mid-day TA had announced to all that the stasis chamber was ready. Goodbyes were said all around and Undawa led the sleepers to the hidden door that would gain them access to the chamber. There they found thirty-six beds made up in what appeared to be a bedroom. Some of the sleepers were couples. After they chose which bed they wanted to use, they shed their lightweight robes and climbed under the sheets. Undawa asked each of them to hold out their left arm, where appeared a bracelet that would impart the nourishment that they would require, as well as, monitor their conditions. They were informed that their limbs would be exercised every day to ensure their limbs did not atrophy during their sleep. Undawa said good night to them all and left the room. A glazing descended over the windows that put a golden glow to the room. As lovers kissed each other good night, they fell into deep sleeps that TA gradually changed into stasis. Most of its time in creating this suite was actually to create the subroutines within itself to monitor the sleepers and ensure their survival until they would be woken on Acadia.

Close to the end of the tenth century, since they left Acadia, Randy and Pete, who were still very much together, experienced a vision that informed them that the first of the two Magi had been born on Acadia. They shared the vision with Undawa, who originally thought it might just be a dream they shared. He understood why they insisted that it was a vision and that there was now a ‘light at the end of the tunnel,’ so to speak. A few months later, Randy and Pete experienced another vision which told them that the second magi had been born on Orion and they had eighteen years left on the farm plane.

This news was shared with all four hundred who remained awake.

Seventeen-and-a-half years later, TA initiated the withdrawal from stasis. It was found that only two hundred had survived. Those who had passed beyond were taken quietly and reverently to the Crypt and interred with their fellows. TA did an internal scan of its subroutines and found where the people had died, but the routine had failed to report this as the cause of death was natural. The subroutines had stopped the flow of nutrients but continued the stasis.

There were now only six hundred inhabitants left in the Academy. Again, Undawa asked that all research be shelved and the teams create journals for the education of the new academy.

Once this task was completed, they decided to remove most items from the basement to storerooms above. TA said it would do this. Undawa was suddenly surrounded by little of anything except the Crypt. He asked TA if it was safe to leave the crypt where it was, was it possible it might damage or destroy something in the new academy. TA said he was unable to determine this and they would need to send the teams out again to access the situation in the new academy.

What was found was an empty academy without people except in rooms in the foundations. TA made some modifications to their foundations to match what they would meet up with should everything go right. The teams had found that two of the individuals in the basement were indeed the two magi that were required to make the transition possible.

They set up shifts so that there were always teams aware of what was happening on Acadia.

Then it happened, the power they were looking for was coming for them, the teams quickly dismantled the early-warning web and encased the Academy within their rapport and reached with all their strength to meet the rapport of the two magi on Acadia. They meshed and suddenly all anyone saw was starlight. The transition was successful.

More to come.
