Chapter 1

It was a hot evening in mid-August.  Kenzie, Larry, and Ari were barbecuing, and setting up the table in the back yard, anticipating a nice dinner outdoors.  They were dressed only in shorts and sandals, no underwear.  It was just too warm for anything more.  Dennis, Mac and Arlen were expected home from work any second.

The working men arrived home one after the other, kissed the other members of their family, and went upstairs to wash up, and dress down.  They joined everyone in the back yard, just about when everything was ready.

After dinner, they were sitting around the table enjoying a cold glass of beer, when Arlen said that he had some big news.  “My company is sending me and one of my co-workers, to a seminar in Boca Raton.  We’ll be gone for a week”

“When are you leaving?” Kenzie asked.

“Next Sunday, and I was hoping you would go down with me.”

“South Florida, in August?  Are you mad?  You must work for a bunch of sadists.  Not only is it hot and humid as blazes, but you could get caught in a hurricane.”

“First of all, Mr. Alarmist,” Arlen chided Kenzie, “everywhere I go will be delightfully air conditioned.  Second of all, the company is putting us up in a resort hotel called Boca Beach Club.  It’s right on the ocean, and can more than withstand the strongest of hurricanes.  It has every amenity.  I almost wouldn’t mind being stranded there, if there were to be a big blow.  I’ll bring up their website on the computer later, so you can see how great it looks.  Are you sure you don’t want to come down with us?”

“You say, you’re going with a co-worker,” Ari said.  “Will you each have a private room?  I wouldn’t mind going with you, if my father is too chicken.”

“You are more than welcome, young son, but Rob and I are rooming together.  You’d have to share with us,” Arlen answered.

“Is he straight or gay?”

“Straight as an arrow,”

Ari laughed.  “There’s no fun in that.  I’d rather stay home with my family, where I know I’ll be sure to get laid.”

“Anybody else want to go down with me before I withdraw the offer?” Arlen asked.

Turn-downs came from every direction, and Arlen laughed.  “I didn’t expect anyone to agree to go with me, but I thought I’d ask, and give you guys the opportunity to say no.

“What’s your roommate like?” Mac asked.  “Is he at least a fun guy, who might want to go out with you in the evenings?  I hope you don’t get saddled with a stick-in-the-mud party pooper.”

“All I know is that he’s about ten years younger than Kenzie and me, and about ten years older than you little children,” Arlen said snidely.  “He recently divorced and has a son who’s about eight years old.  He gets to be with him every other weekend, but the kid is beginning to rebel at being torn away from his friends.  Rob is afraid that he won’t want to spend those weekends with him in the very near future.  He told me that if that happened, he wouldn’t fight the boy.  He wants him to be happy, even if it’s at the expense of his own happiness.  His only concern is his ex-wife’s drinking problem.”

Suddenly, Arlen could not restrain himself.  He started to sob as his chest heaved violently.  Mac jumped up and wrapped his arms around his father.

“That story must have hit home with you,” Kenzie said sympathetically.  “It sounds like the guy could use a little loving.  If it turns out that he’s not totally straight, and a little bit gay,” Kenzie grinned, “then I won’t mind if you make him happy, but you better tell me about it if you do.”

“How does straight Rob feel about sharing a room with a gay guy who’s out at work?” Larry asked.

“Yeah,” Dennis piped in.  “I was wondering the same thing.”

“Well, I can’t answer that question, because he hasn’t said anything to me or to our Human Resources Department.  However, I can tell you that the two of us have always been very friendly.”

“Will you need a ride to the airport, Dad?” Mac asked.

“No thanks, Son.  My company is paying for our transportation.  Rob and I will both take cabs and meet at the airport.”

Arlen’s flight to Ft. Lauderdale left at 12 noon on the following Sunday, with a layover in Atlanta.  He had the cab pick him up at 9 AM.  He had been warned to get to the airport very early, because security checks were getting more intense, and delays were getting longer.  As it turned out, he got through security, and was in the waiting area with two hours to spare.

Rob arrived a few minutes after that.  They had so much time to spare that they decided to have brunch together.  Arlen always had an over the top curiosity, so while they were sharing a meal, he said to Rob, “Your story is developing exactly like mine, so if you care to talk about it, you have a sympathetic ear.”

Rob looked at Arlen, and asked, “What do you mean?”

“I split from my wife, when my son, Mac, was about four years old, even younger than your boy.  I got him every other weekend also.  As he grew older, he didn’t want to lose the weekend with his friends, and he began to resent me.  When he didn’t want to see me anymore, I didn’t fight it.  I wanted him to be happy.  More than twelve years went by, and I didn’t see him.  I ached to hold him in my arms, to hug him, to kiss him if he would let me.”

“Didn’t you try to see him during all that time?” Rob asked.

“Oh sure, of course I did.  I offered to visit him at his convenience, but he called me a fucking fag, and said he never wanted to see me again.” Tears were beginning to run down Arlen’s cheek, so Rob put his hand on Arlen’s as some sort of attempt to comfort him.  Neither of them noticed, and Arlen continued.

“About a year ago, Mac was robbed, beaten and raped.  He was too embarrassed to go to his mother or his friends.  He was badly hurt, and when he regained consciousness in an alleyway, he realized I didn’t live too far away.  He walked three miles to get to me.  At first, it was hard for both of us, but in a short time, we were totally reconciled, and now Mac lives with me.”

Rob took in a deep breath. “You left your wife because you were gay,” Rob half said and half asked.  “I was told by some of the people in the office that you were gay, but I didn’t believe them.”

Arlen nodded.  “Yes, I am gay.  Do you mind if I ask what broke up your marriage?”

Rob looked at Arlen sheepishly.  After some hesitation, he said, “Same as you.”  The two men started to laugh.  “But there was another problem,” Rob added. “My wife, Beth, has a terrible drinking problem.”  This time the men didn’t laugh and Arlen expressed his sympathy.

“Are you and Kenzie monogamous?” Rob asked in all sincerity.

Without revealing family dynamics, Arlen answered with one word, “Hardly.”

“In that case, do you think there’s a chance we might play together this week, so neither one of us has to go out cruising?”  Rob’s hand was still holding Arlen’s.

“Not only is it possible, but Kenzie told me that if you were willing, I should show you a good time.  He said he wouldn’t mind at all.”

Rob was speechless.  All he could do was hold Arlen’s hand and smile at him.  After a long period of silence, he said, “I’m so glad that we are arriving early in the evening.  We can enjoy a nice dinner together, and then go to our room, and get so much better acquainted than we are now.”

They rented a car at the Ft. Lauderdale airport for the week.  It was very costly, but hey, the company was paying for it.

There is a lot to be said for maturity.  When they arrived at the resort, neither Rob nor Arlen ran helter-skelter to their room to have sex.  Instead they went to a highly recommended steak house and enjoyed a leisurely dinner.  There was no rush to meet the other conferees.   That could wait until morning.

As they were finishing dinner, Rob finally hinted at the sex to come.  “Let’s stop at a drugstore and buy condoms and lube,” he suggested.

“Are you kidding?” Arlen asked.  “Half my suitcase is full of those necessities.”

Rob laughed.  “Let’s go then,” he said as he stood up, and finally they rushed back to the hotel, and to their room.

They undressed quickly, and faced each other, studying their bodies.  Arlen smiled to himself.  Rob was so much like Kenzie that it was uncanny. He was fair haired, and a good four inches shorter than Arlen.  All three of them were uncut.  When staring became uncomfortable, they fell into each other’s arms.  Because of the height difference, they couldn’t exactly crush their cocks together.  Nevertheless, those glorious appendages pressed hard somewhere against the other’s body.

“Let’s shower,” Arlen suggested.

He took Rob’s hand and led him into the bathroom.  They both pissed first, and then Rob started the taps running in the shower.  “We shouldn’t have peed,” Arlen said.  “We could have given each other Golden Showers.”

Rob smiled.  “Next time,” he said smiling.

In the shower they completely used up a bar of soap, sudsing each other’s bodies over and over again.  They felt their hard-ons for the first time, and sensuously massaged their precious instruments.  They both knew that if this continued they would cum, so they opted to dry up and take the action to bed.

They lay down on one of the two queen-sized beds in the room.  They were on their backs, side by side, holding hands, and catching their breaths.  After a few minutes, Arlen turned to Rob, and said, “I’m too far gone.  When we suck each other I won’t be able to hold back, so let yourself go, and we’ll fuck next time.”

He twisted around into a sixty-nine position, and the two men felt the rapture almost immediately.  They both gushed down each other’s throats, and since they were both swallowers, there was hardly any mess.  Afterward, holding each other tightly, they fell asleep much earlier than their usual bedtime.

Arlen had promised that they would fuck each other ‘next time.’  Next time came in the wee hours of the morning.  At about 4 AM they both began to stir, and their instincts took over.  Morning breath was a non-factor as they began to kiss and make love.  They concluded by alternately rimming and fucking one another.  When they were done, the two middle-aged men fell back on the bed, and dozed for a while longer, before getting up to start their day.

The seminar was to begin at 9 AM.  By 7:30 they were ready to go down to breakfast.  Arlen figured that at that hour his family would be awake, and Dennis and Mac would still be home before going to work.

“Sit here on the bed next to me,” he said to Ron.  “I have to make a quick call.”  He took out his cell phone and called Kenzie.

It rang four times before a sleepy voice said, “Why are you calling so early.  Is anything wrong.”

“No, nothing is wrong.  I just wanted you to know that Rob and I broke the ice.  We had a fantastic night, and I’m going to ask him to join us in a threesome, when we get home.”  He handed the phone to Rob.  “Kenzie wants to talk to you,” he said.

Rob actually began to shake with fear, and then he heard Kenzie say, “Isn’t he the most fantastic lover ever?”  He left Rob speechless.  All he could do was grunt.

Arlen grabbed the phone back, and said, “Kenzie honey, he’s fantastic also.  I can’t wait for that threesome.”  He turned to Rob.

“Shit Rob,” he said.  “I am so sorry.  I never asked if you would want to do a threesome with Kenzie and me.”

“Are you kidding?  Just last night, I came out of the closet.  I am so starved for male love that just thinking about having a go at it with you two guys, has me ripping my underwear.  Can we skip the seminar and go back to bed?”

Arlen laughed.  He thought that Rob was joking, but he was very, very serious.  He put the phone on speaker, and said to Kenzie, “I think that he’s more than interested.  I hope you weren’t too lonely last night, honey.”

“Not at all.  Mac and Dennis spent the night with me.  They’re lying here right beside me, and that horny son of yours is ready for another round, but I have to kick them both out of bed so they can get ready to go to work.  Ciao, baby.”  He hung up.

Of course, Rob heard every word.  “Please,” he said to Arlen, “explain this to me.”

“I was debating whether or not to tell you about my family, and the love we all share, but I thought it was too soon.  Now I’m outed in a way also.  I’ll tell you all about it tonight, when we are alone together.  But for now, let’s get going.  I’m starving.”

To be continued...
