Chapter 7

“The first couple of days our newest residents were with us were interesting. It didn’t take long for them to adapt to us or us to them or to fit in. Andy Meyers, as young as he is, brought some definite skills we needed! As Gio’s aide, he was also a valet, with strong office skills, organizational skills, and personnel management skills. Additionally, he was loyal and one hell of a shot!”

(The Private Journals of Isaiah Watts)

“The spot where we intend to fight must not be made known; for then the enemy will have to prepare against a possible attack at several different points.”

(Sun Tzu – The Art of War)

Isaiah felt, or in the plural case, thin, small, smooth, and warm, fingers, coming from different directions; one finger from his left, a warm body snugged up against his left hip, ran a finger slowly, lightly from where his penis met his balls up his very long morning woody toward the exposed, plum-shaped head. The other finger originated from his right side, presumably attached to another small body squeezed up against his right hip, and was twiddling carefully around in his pubic bush, progressing up the twitching staff to connect to a thumb to either measure or perhaps check, the girth by encirclement.

“Tony!” whispered Vinnie (finger and thumb from boy number 2) in Roma, “I can’t get my finger and thumb around it, it’s so big!”

Finger number 2, now identified as Tony, whispered back, also in Roma, “And, it’s much bigger than Poppa’s!”

“Not that much!” Gio reminded them as both hands rapidly vacated their project and admiration of their object of discovery and wonder!

“Besides,” Isaiah added in Roma, with a smile on his face, “Uncle Isaiah understands Roma like the native I am. As well as Italian, English, German, and some Spanish.”

Tony quickly slithered back across Isaiah and came to rest next to Vinnie, causing Vinnie to scooch just as fast until he was again on top of Gio, seeking his protection.

“No need to be afraid,” Isaiah assured the two youngsters. “I didn’t mind it one bit. A really pleasant way to wake up! Especially when I felt those two, rather hard, objects pressed up against my hip. Pretty big for you're age, you know!”

He felt both boys giggle and swell just a bit from pride and the compliment he paid them. Don’t all males love to hear someone say their cock’s big, rather true or not?

“But,” Gio reminded them, “we have to use English at Ravenwood because everyone doesn’t understand Roma. In fact, English, Roma, Italian, German, Spanish, and Tagalog is spoken here so we use English except in special cases!”

“Really?” Tony exclaimed in question of what he heard, his head popping up!

“All of those?” Vinnie asked his head popping up from Gio’s chest, his eyes staring into Gio’s.

“Yep!” Cordell added from the doorway.

“We speak English, Spanish, and Tagalog,” chirped Carlito as his naked body slipped by Cordell’s equally naked body, his pecker pointing straight out.

He was quickly followed by his brother, Andres, as the two of them headed toward the bed. As they clambered onto the bed, they were cautioned not to hurt “Poppa” by Tony, since, “He’s still has sore spots from where he was shot!” causing them to ease themselves next to Isaiah’s side of the bed.

“Good morning, Poppa!” Rico said in greeting Gio as he, also quite naked, scooted around Cordell, his limp pecker rubbing against Cordell’s hip as he moved by.

“Did you sleep well?” Gio asked as he gave Rico a kiss.

“Yes, Poppa!” he responded, “but I cuddled all night with Uncle Andy!”

“Did you enjoy your cuddle?”

Rico nodded vigorously, “and so did Uncle Andy!”

Andy, as yet to be dressed as was the rest of the assembled company, now joined by Monty and Eddie, his erection shaped with a slight banana curve upward, jutted nicely from his crotch, coughed softly from the doorway, adding,

“Good morning, Captain, how are we fe---eling this morning? “ a hesitation and skip in his voice as Cordell reached over, wrapped his hand around Andy’s tumescence, and gave it a tug up and down.

“Just fine, Andy. It’s good to be home and with Isaiah and all the rest of our family!”

“If you don’t object, Uncle Isaiah,” Jimmy (the only one dressed and ready for the day in the group), “I thought we could start by having Rico work with Eddie and Cordell and Tony and Vinnie with Cordell and Andres.”

“Sounds fine,” Isaiah responded. “Will Monty work with them a couple of days to help familiarize them with our routine?”

“Sure will, Uncle Isaiah,” piped up Monty standing behind Jimmy.

“And I’ll work with Rico, Eddie, and Cordell,” added Jimmy.

“Tommy?”

“He’ll be full-time in the kitchen working with Paul. He likes it better than working with the livestock or field work. He’d still help with the housework if there’s time!”

Gio took a moment, while he had his three boys nearby and paying close attention, to explain everyone was responsible for their own room, taking care of their clothes, doing dishes and other household chores. In the past a housekeeper did come in regularly and, with a nod from Isaiah, would continue to do so.

“It keeps everything running smooth, the house in good shape, and lessens the work load on everyone,” Gio added. “Now, better get dressed you guys. Uncle Andy will give you a hand in that.”

“Wouldn’t mind him giving me a hand,” Cordell said with a laugh and a stroke on Andy’s hard cock.

“Andy,” Isaiah said before anything further could develop, “You’ll find a closet and dresser full of clothes in Jimmy’s room. You should be able to find some work clothes for Rico, Tony, and Vinny. Those will do until we can get some shopping done or locate some more hand-me-downs worth wearing.”

“Breakfast before we go to work,” Isaiah announced.

“Breakfast before work?” queried Gio.

Isaiah nodded. “Jimmy and the boys decided they’d rather have something in their stomach before going to work. It also gave them more time to do other things afterwards. After listening to them, I concurred and now that’s how we do it. They really seem to work better as a result.”

Isaiah and Gio dressed and joined the others at breakfast. Paul and Tommy set it up buffet style. Rico, Tony, and Vinnie were delighted with the abundance and variety of food served. Paul prepared scrambled eggs, ham and bacon, hash browns, milk, and fresh, hot, iced cinnamon rolls.

Tony was so overcome, tears formed and slid down his cheeks in streamers. He stopped eating, came over to Gio, wrapped his arms around Gio and exclaimed joyfully, “Isn’t it just the most wonderful place, Poppa?”

Gio hugged and kissed the young, appreciative lad, agreeing. “Enjoy it! We always have eaten well at Ravenwood and there’s no reason why it won’t continue.”

Tony’s remark brought a lump to Isaiah’s throat and a catch in the breath Paul was trying to take as a result of overhearing Tony. Clearly, his work as their chef was appreciated and the abundance of food should not be taken casually. He also made the determination to make it a priority to fix treats for the boys on a daily basis and prepare food which was not only nourishing, but perhaps some with an Italian flavor.

Andy, dressed, pistol holstered on his belt, and ready for the day, joined them at the breakfast table.

“Really no need, Andy,” Isaiah said pointing at the weapon.

“Just habit, Mr. Isaiah,” Andy responded, but didn’t remove the weapon.

Tummies full, dishes carried to the dishwasher, and table cleared of any leftovers, Jimmy gathered the boys and set them off on their chores. As the boys walked out the door, Isaiah and Gio overheard Rico comment,

“At least we don’t have to worry about shitting our pants like that bunch of German soldiers did!”

Isaiah was about to ask Gio what that comment concerned, but Andy interrupted asking, “If you’d show me where I should put Captain’s clothes, I’ll get right on it.”

Raising his eyebrows, not used to having someone take care of personal items such as clothing ,Isaiah  hesitated a moment, then just nodded and motioned Gio and Andy to follow him to their room. It didn’t take long to point out the dresser drawers Gio used before leaving and were now empty and the closet space.

“Andy,” Isaiah said, “meet us in the office after you’re done. Gio and I have some business and investments to discuss as well as farm operation.”

In the office, the first thing Isaiah did was to retrieve Conley’s Will from the safe and give Gio his copy, asking him to read through it and ask questions if he had any.

Gio could only say, after he finished reading the document, “It’s pretty straight forward and easy to understand. What’s the value and what do we own? How is our cash position, loans outstanding, and accounts payable?”

Isaiah produced a portfolio with properties, investments, and accounts listed, noting the other set of books, the one keeping track of business transactions on the fringe of legality and illegality were kept in the safe and with their man of business.

Gio noted the new farm purchase, inquired about its productivity and size, moved on to the other set of books, asking,

“Any problem with these?”

“Not so far,” Isaiah advised, “but with the war over, I think we should re-think some of these. The Feds may not have enough to do and begin snooping around. Don’t think we want to be associated with some of these, unless it’s so far removed, if there is a stink, it’ll smell like roses by the time it reaches us.”

“St. James still taking pictures?”

Isaiah nodded, “Most of his young nudes are sold overseas through a series of layered brokers so he’s really far from them. He is really particular about who and where he photographs his subjects and keeps us completely out of it. I think he’s putting a great deal of cash aside so he and Monty have something to live on, just in case. Of course, they’ll always be able to live here.”

Gio laughed, “When he gets home, he’ll think he’s died and gone to heaven.”

“Either that or fuck himself to death,” laughed Isaiah.

Isaiah looked up when he heard a soft laugh come from the doorway and spotted Andy standing there with a real wide grin on his face.

Gio turned, laughed as well, telling Isaiah, “St. James might not be the only one dying with a grin on his face and his cock hard as a rock.”

“Sorry to interrupt, Captain, but your clothes are put away and I also took the opportunity, since I had some time, to straighten up the room a bit. I hope that was okay. Is there something else I might do?” he added looking around the office. “Perhaps some bookkeeping, record keeping, office work? You know I really want to feel useful. Our boys will occupy some of my time, but not as much as when we were overseas and gone to ground!”

Isaiah’s curiosity peaked at those remarks but he decided to say nothing, instead to wait patiently until Gio or someone decided to explain the remarks further or what is meant by “going to ground” and how Andy ended up there with Gio.

“What type of office experience do you have, Andy?” Isaiah inquired. “It’s evident you have valet skills as well as combat experience, but how about bookkeeping or otherwise? We could use an office manager and assistant in here. You’ll find our assets are extensive and our investments diversified, excluding our farming operation. It is large as well, but kept separate from our other operations.”

“As a high-ranking officer’s aide, in addition to my service to Colonel Dickenson and training, Mr. Isaiah, I had considerable experience in all office functions, including extensive training in bookkeeping and accounting, as well as protocol in human interactions.  I can handle myself in an office as well as social settings including seeing to it my Captain is properly attired and rested when he needs it!”

“You’re worse than a Biddy-hen, Andy, but much appreciated and loved for it. I’m certain Isaiah and the others here at Ravenwood are going to benefit as much from your service as I have over the time we’ve been together,” Gio commented.

With a smile and a wink to Isaiah, he continued, “Sargent Meyers was and is, my official worrier!”

“Someone had to watch your backside, Sir,” Andy snorted, “especially after that unfortunate incident in February.”

The conversation was interrupted by the noise of boys chattering in the kitchen. The broken English, with an occasional word or two of Roma intermixed, was happy chatter to Gio’s ears!

“Sounds as if all the boys are in the kitchen,” Isaiah remarked. “The egg-gatherers and the milkers.”

It was really obvious when the deeper voices of Jimmy and Monty laughed quite hysterically.

“Perhaps, Captain,” Andy suggested, “we’d best check on those boys. It sounds as if they’ve been up to a bit of mischief or are planning some.

 *******

“No, shit!” Rico said emphatically, trying to convince the others of the validity of his remarks.”

“Yeah,” added Tony in an effort to support what Rico was saying, “one cup of that soup and three hours later those German bastards had shit in their pants. Smelled worse than the pig lot we just left, at least that’s what Poppa said!”

“Speaking of shit,” Jimmy laughed, trying not to collapse from his laughter, “I thought the one about the shit sticks was even better!”

“Oh my god,” muttered Gio, “they’re talking about the purgative I put in the German soldiers luncheon soup at a small base near Ravena and my little trick with the sharpened sticks at a motor pool.”

*******

Gio and the four boys tore ass out of the city in a stolen staff car shortly after the explosion at the Manor house and the continuing explosions from the fuel depot. Their destination through the mountains was the small land-locked Republic of San Marino on the east side of the Apennine Mountains only some six kilometers or so from Rimini, Italy on the Adriatic Sea. Gio was to meet his partisan contact on the outskirts of the Republic, near the border at a small, religious shrine, with a chapel. In order to avoid detection, after hiding the car in an abandoned barn off of the road, the boys and he gathered up what they could carry from the car, intending on returning later to retrieve the rest, and set out on foot.

Fortunately for Gio, Sandro and Nicolo were both familiar with the area since they’d traveled through San Marino and stayed several times with their families over the years. The meeting place was not visible from the road, well secluded in a woods and hilly terrane. Not long after midnight, Gio heard someone coming down the narrow path to the shrine and alerted the boys they had company coming. They quickly hid, leaving Gio to meet whoever it was. He stepped outside the small chapel and waited.

As the person, now identified as male, approached, Gio asked,

“Are you asking for forgiveness?

“No!” was the response, “for the Dodgers to win the World Series.”

Gio stepped forward, pistol at the ready, knowing he’d be backed up by the four boys, all of whom possessed pistols they’d “liberated” from German soldiers. He mused to himself, the boys ranging from eight to fourteen years of age, were proficient with weaponry and the need to kill if necessary. It really wasn’t any different for Isaiah and him since they’d both killed before they were very old as well.

“I see you have company,” the young man commented as he looked around and to the wooded area. They’re masked as well, but not in the skull mask you have on. You must be the Angel of Death come to visit it upon our enemies.”

Gio just nodded and asked the young man his name.

“Not your code name, your real name!”

“For my grave marker?” was the response.

Gio made no reply or response.

“Okay! Demarco Moretti!”

“Your full name, please,” Gio added quickly.

“If you insist!”

“I do!”

“Demarco Fiorella Moretti! I was named after some ancestor from sometime back!”

“Cousin!” Gio returned in greeting.

“Beg your pardon?” Demarco asked, somewhat confused.

Gio knew then Grandfather Agostino’s memory of the family tree and the various branches of it still in Italy was quite accurate and now, very helpful. The Moretti’s were one of the branches of the Russo Family. Demarco was, indeed, a cousin.

“I’m Giovanni Fiorella Russo, your cousin; somewhat distant, but a cousin never-the-less.”

Demarco tilted his head in the direction of the four boys.

“They’re with me,” was all Gio offered and Demarco asked no questions.

“There’s some gear we left and we need to retrieve it,” Gio explained. “It shouldn’t take that long.”

The gear retrieved, Gio and the boys, along with Demarco, rested during the day in a deserted farm house within the limits of the Republic. In the evening, under cover of the darkness and the shadows cast by the mountains when the moon rose, they headed toward the coast and, eventually to where Gio would base his operations. Outside of the borders of San Marino, Demarco procured a donkey and a cart to haul their gear. On their journey south of Rimini, Gio learned of his Grandfather’s cousin Leo’s death and that of his family. He also learned the name of the German officer who ordered the deaths.

Not far from Porti Sicuro, recognizing the name, Gio asked Demarco if it would be possible to smuggle a letter out. He wanted to inform his grandfather of the deaths.

“No problem!” assured Demarco. “We’ll send it out through San Marino.”

“I’ll put one together  and who to send it to once we get settled,” Gio advised. It would go to Andy and Andy would see the letter would reach Isaiah and Isaiah could tell his grandparents.

Demarco led the group from the main road, really not that great or well traveled road as it were, up into the foothills as a narrow lane, turned off of it onto a very narrow path leading up into a valley and high rocky area. The long path, the only way in it would appear, led them deeper and deeper into the rocks and cliffs. At one point they crossed a narrow, wooden bridge about thirty foot long. It was similiar to a draw bridge in feudal times and could be raised and lowered in a similiar manner, securing what lay beyound from sudden attack or disclosure. The path led them to an open area with a stone, well-concealed dwelling. It was a small villa hidden back in the foothills of the mountainous region. There was also a small stone barn, a chicken pen close to it, and an outhouse.

The small villa contained more than one secret! Although the front of the villa was somewhat exposed, containing the kitchen, the living room, and a small dining area, the bedrooms were to the back, tucked into the cliffs in the natural, but altered, caves existing there. There was a short hallway, accessed through the living room and sealed off through the closing of a heavy wooden door backed with steel, with bedrooms on either side, a secured storage area, and a heavy oak door leading to an escape tunnel up through the mountain to a grove of trees on the cliff top.

The water to the dwelling was supplied from a spring flowing from the rocks through a pipe to the kitchen where it could be used or stored in the storage room in heavy oak caskets. From there it flowed outside and down the cliff side to the stream winding through the deep ravine below.

Gio thought the location and the site was most secure, acceptable, comfortable, and escapable. From here he would plan and initiate those activities he’d use to accomplish his mission.

 *******

“Okay, Gio, that’s all well and good, but what about the shitty pants and shitty sticks?” Isaiah asked.

“Oh, those were just a couple of little aggregations I set out to do. In each case, I left one of my “Jolly Roger” flags so they’d know who it was!”

“West of Ravena, along the Gothic Line, I happened to spot a detachment of German soldiers encamped. I watched them for several days, gaining information on their routines. I slipped into their mess tent and doctored up the soup they were going to serve for lunch with some of my special purgative, laxative, powders. I waited until dark, hiding and watching. The parade to the latrine started shortly after the soldiers hit the sack. Unfortunately, not all of them made it to the latrine. In fact, many didn’t even make it out of their bedrolls. Took that bunch out of commission for three, maybe four, days. Sure can’t fight with shit in your pants.”

“The other incident involved an attack on a motor pool. I took Tony along on that one.”

Gio had the boys cut a couple of dozen sticks about seven inches (18 cm) long. They were about the size and length of a standard lead pencil. He had the boys sharpen one end to very sharp point. Those sticks, point first, were dipped in pig shit. Gio ascertained there was more than one way to remove a fighting soldier from the war, other than shooting him. Pig shit contains quite a few pathogens, as does human fecal material, and if inserted into the human body can cause severe infections and even disease. A sick or injured soldiers requires several others to nurse and take care of him- again removing people from the frontline battlefield.

The motor pool was quite some distance west of the Villa and along the Gothic Line. It was an all-night ride to get there. He and Tony spent two nights in the area, scouting out the routines and deciding how to best approach it. Late on the second night, nearer to dawn on the third day, leaving Tony to wait for him in their camp, Gio sneaked into the motor pool yard, inserted a “shitty stick” into the space between the seat cushion and back rest cushion, with the sharp end pointed in such a manner as to jab whoever sat in the driver’s seat, in the ass. He then emptied a can full of gas near the rear of one truck, retreated to outside the perimeter and fired an explosive fireworks rocket at the truck.

The fireworks exploded, ignited the gasoline which started a truck on fire, and all hell broke loose! The alarm was sounded, men rushed from their barracks, raced toward the trucks with the intent of saving what they could, and leaped into the front driver seats!

Gio and Tony didn’t wait to see the results, but later heard the were a number of “injuries.”

*******

“How did you get around? Donkey?” puzzled Isaiah.

“German motorcycle I stole. We modified it to carry what we needed and the muffler to cut most of the noise.”

What Gio didn’t tell Isaiah is what happened when Tony and he stopped to rest briefly during the night. They were just outside a small village when both heard a muffled cry! Tony quickly pointed out a previously parked vehicle parked off of the road in a small grove of trees some distance away farther up the road.

Gio cautioned Tony to be quiet and stay hidden while he investigated. Slipping on his mask and cape, he stole up the road to the parked vehicle. The moon provided just enough illumination to reveal three German soldiers, all with their pants off and laying in a crumpled heap behind them. One of the three was in the process of raping a young girl he had stretched out on the ground under him while the other two stook stroking their hard cocks, waiting for their turn. Laughing and encouraging their fellow to “hurry up,” the rapist could only grunt and thrust harder.

So intent were they, the one raping and the other two watching, they failed to notice Gio’s presence as he approached from behind. Nor did they notice when he relieved them of the pistols they’d left in holsters attached to their discarded pants and belts. They did take notice when he commanded, in German,

“Hands up you bastards!”

The one fucking the girl stopped in mid-thrust, looked behind his companions, and screamed,

“Its death come to us!” and quickly stood, hands in the air, pecker dripping cock-snot.

Gio shouted to the girl to grab her clothes and run for home or anywhere but there. She scampered off as fast as she could in the direction of the village.

Pressing one of the German Luger pistols into the back of one of the soldiers while ordering him and his companion to join the other. Once there, he ordered all three to turn around, bend over, and grab their ankles.

The very sight of his mask and cape and the pistol he held was more than enough to comply with his order. Three bare and hairy asses were soon pointed in his direction.

He walked up to the rapist, quickly shoved the pistol up his ass, and pulled the trigger. The bullet exited the top of the man’s skull and he dropped. One of the two remaining decided to run, but was dropped with another shot before he was ten feet away.

The third and final soldier, turned, and cried begging for his life. It was spared, but Gio “kneecapped” him in both knees, leaving him crippled and writhing in pain on the ground.

Gio leaned closely to the man and said, “Tell your officers and fellow soldiers, the Angel of Death comes at night so watch for me. I’m coming for them!”

Two days later Tony and Gio were resting at the Villa.

To be continued...
